  1. You want to play that game? How many interceptions should NP have had against the 2's and 3's? Some people should think before they type.
  2. Where did I say that? Get a grip and learn how to comprehend what is written. Quote one thing where I said they made it easier on Peterman. You can't. Now read it again and get it correct this time. All I said was Peterman got the opportunity to get in a rythem. I didn't put blame anywhere other than saying what happened to start the game and what else WA going on with the line and receivers. All fact. It was a fact that NP started with the 1's against their 2's in the 3rd quarter. And I gave reasons for it. Why would they want to destroy Peterman's confidence ? They were trying to give the line a way to go out on a positive note. A smart thing to do after the way they played in the 1st half. And I am sure at halftime they made adjustments, so needed to see if they worked. Peterman was the beneficiary of that. So he got time to get a rythem, why does that have to be good or bad concerning Allen? It was different circumstances when the two were playing. Why can't a person point that out? It doesn't mean I want to see NP play poorly. I think whoever they pUT in is going to struggle big time. NP is proNE to getting picked off with his weaker arm. For the most part he has gotten away from a lot of close calls. Pretty soon that pass into the flats will be a pick 6. Allen is a team player, if the line gets their crap together, that only helps him and his team. Quit trying to find things in a post because you are insecure about your knowledge. The announcers even said the staff did a poor job of getting Allen in a rythem. They were there and saw it, plus they know more about football than you do. A wild guess I am sure. Please get some comprehension skills. Now please try and quote me where I made all those wild accusations you said I made.
  3. And if you didn't realize that Peterman was seeing a minimum of blitzes and packages in that 1st gme then you don't know much about football in my opinion. They left the 1's in for Peterman against the 2's yesterday to make sure he didn't fail, and also to give the line a little success before he took them out. So Peterman had time to get a little rythem going. Allen had no chance from play 1 when his receiver dropped the very catchable pass. And then throw in all the penalties which was pure crap. And then we watch all the missed blocks, our o-line getting manhandled, and our qb getting less than 2 seconds to throw the ball. I don't want Allen trying to play behind a garbage line like that. But I assure you NP is not going to fare well in his debut. They are going to throw him to the wolves. I actually feel sorry for him because they are giving him false hope unless this line improves greatly in 2 weeks time. You will see defenses take away that short game in a hurry. And if our D doesn't improve in a hurry, whoever starts might only see the field 4 times tops in the 1st half if the other team goes on long drives that eat up the clock. And then the D will be on the field too long and get really taken to town in the 2nd half when they are all worn down. Seen it happen too many times when a team looks this bad. So we need to hope both sides of the ball improve a lot or it will be a very long year.
  4. If you can't tell that there is a big difference in running against the 2's, then I am not going to bother r xplaining it to you. Plus they even kept the 1''s in with Peterman for a bit to make sure we could show a little offense. If Peterman couldn't move the ball with the 1'same going against their 2's, then he shouldn't be on the field. Every qb we had running the 2''s in the exhibition games did just fine. And 2 out of the 3 game it was Peterman running against them. If McCarron wasn't hurt he would have been running against the 2's in the Bengal game. Big difference going against the 2's. Can't believe I had to even point it out. It amazes me how little some think on here. And the camera views wouldn't allow the viewer to see if Allen was holding it too long. So only people who were there would know at this point. Of course now we will get people coming on here saying they were at the game, even though most were not.
  5. Of course they could. To be a good or great qb you have to have almost the complete arsenal. I don't think Peterman has all the tools. It will catch up to him.
  6. Whoevery starts at qb is going to get killed with this line. Bills won't win 4 games ubless the line improves a lot. Allen may have taken too long to throw the ball, but if he would have thrown it , some would have been interceptions. The line couldn't even hold back a 4 man rush and give the qb more than 4 seconds. And that is keeping a running back in the backfield to help them. And I won't even bring up the penalties. It was a sad ass effort. And the receivers stunk it up also. I could almost guarantee Peterman would have thrown at least two picks under that duress. I was blaming McCarron for his beat down against the Browns. Now I see it differently . Although I don't think the pressure was as bad.
  7. Staying positive as usual. I think it is OK if they work it in. It is not like Gregg wasn't trying to throw schemes at him the way it was. Gregg tried to put Allen on his ass , Allen decided he would not stand around and wait.
  8. So let's all walk around kicking cans and act like our best dog died. Don't live life or dream a little, just give up all thoughts because Allen may not turn out good Just turn your emotions off and get out of bed, go to work, come home and repeat. One hell of a way to go through life. I think I will pass and dream a little.
  9. Peterman has won the job? I must have been sleeping when they announced that one.
  10. Now let's start naming off all those 4 and 5 star qbs that Alabama recruited and never did anything in the pros. I don't believe Allen even had a star by his name. And you have to almost go back to when Namath, Starr, and Stabler barely made it out of the leather helmet era to make an Alabama qb look good. You should change your handle to Mr. Negative.
  11. According to Bernie. I will pass on that info. The running back didn't pick it up. Watch it again. Watch it again, hirunning back picked the wrong guy to block.
  12. It makes you wonder if they were the right guys. I am thinking they weren't.
  13. I worry about Allen getting hurt, and I did the same when he played at Wyoming. But a year is not going to make a difference. If anything, he will get the line to gel faster and give everyone hope that he can make long drives and eat up the clock. And that with one flick of the wrist score on a deep ball. At Wyoming he was used to run clock and keep the defense rested. And it looks like that is what they did Friday night. I like that Daboll likes to get his quarterback's in rythem early. Something the Wyoming OC had no clue about. Thus some of the wild throws. Allen is the type that has barely been given the chance to pick a team apart because his OC was so ****ty. I think Daboll is going to be the guy that gets all of Allen's potential to the forefront. Daboll understands what he has for a qb. I bet Daboll is giddy right now with Allen progressing so quickly. That Wyoming OC should be kicking himself in the ass for not using Allen the way he should be used. If he would have I suppose he would be in Cleveland right now, and I have grown fond of Buffalo and it's fans. You guys are a good fit for Josh. Cleveland is Cleveland. Enough said. I hope Allen is the qb this team needs. I was hoping Allen might sit for 5 games or so, now I don't think he needs to. If Daboll can mix up the play calling enough for Allen to settle in, Allen is used to slugging it out for a 17- 10 type of game. He can play in high scoring shootouts also, but his old OC preferred to grind out games. And that is what Allen was doing Friday night. Allen will have some games where it isn't his day, but he will have more days where it is. As far as Peterman goes, I think he is one of those guys that plays good in practice. But when it really counts I think he folds because he doesn't have the tools to compete at a high NFL level. Maybe if he played for someone like the Patriots, which his skill set shows he might be a good fit for. One thing about following Allen for so long, I never felt like he couldn't pull a win out except for a few times like the Oregon game last year. That was one ugly game. It seemed like no one came to play that day. Oregon's team speed and athleticism was far more than Wyoming had. Usually Wyoming teams get up for games like that, not that day. Our receivers couldn't get separation if the defender fell down. All I can tell you is never bet against Allen too often, he is Cowboy tough. Now Bill tough. He will give that offense confidence, and knows he needs them to help him make plays. I never heard one bad thing about Allen from his time at Wyoming. And Laramie is a small town where you hear everything. I am curious who put out the racist tweets the night before the draft. I wonder if we will ever find out. Josh didn't deserve that, he is too nice of a guy. And if anyone ever saw them and knew what they originated from, they would know they were taken out of context. I still see some idiots popping off about them from time to time calling Allen a racist. That is so far from the truth. Sorry about the long post. Our state takes a lot of pride in Josh and his family. Good people.
  14. Good thing you aren't making the decision. You act like you have all the answers when you don't know much about Allen or his capabilities. You should have seen him in his first start at Wyoming. Everyone could tell he had the "it" factor in his first two series. He unfortunately got hurt. But he picks right off where he was the very next year. If you can't see how special he is, please don't try and get others thinking in this defeatist attitude. Because I can guarantee you Allen won't be thinking like that. Listen to what the players around him say about him, they know he is going to be a good one right off the bat. None of them are saying let him sit and figure it out. I bet if Allen threw for 3 td''s and ran for another next week we would still hear this same old story you throw out. At least see how he does next game. I would have loved it if Daboll would have let him air it out last game. One has to figure they wanted Allen to work on his short game the way the play calling was.
  15. The thing you and lot of other people don't see, I that defenses have to play differently when Allen is in the game. They have to respect his pocket presense and scrambling ability. They can't give a step on short throws because of how quick the ball gets there. And they certainly don't want to get beat deep. So if you don't understand it all yet, I will spell it out for you. Defenses have to play him straight up. That helps out the line as he doesn't get sacked often, making them look better than they are. His offensive weapons have more room to do their thing. Little things like better spacing and defenses can't load up the box. I can go on all day pointing out the intangibles Allen brings . If you don't get it yet you probably don't understand football at a very basic level.
  16. So you think that the hit Allen took from the db on I do believe his 2nd snap was not a hard hit? Allen absorbed the hit from a guy who had a running start and Allen almost managed to shake it off. The db couldn't drop Allen with the hit and had to throw him to the ground. It didn't phase Allen. I watched him all through college taking hits and putting hits on people. Allen is not an easy guy to take down. You will find out the guy is tough. I don't see your reasoning why Allen would have gotten hurt if he had started the game. Did you not see what he had to put up with in the game before?
  17. What the he'll does Alabama have to do with it? You just saw the Alabama guy start the game and do zip. Try using some of that COMMONSENSE.
  18. A poor one. Ever since the 1st exhibition game Allen played in, people have laid off. Pretty bad when supposed Bills fans add to the crap. This is part of the reason people stay uneducated about Allen. When his own dole out negatives. But you are correct, it is just your opinion, even if it is a poor one.
  19. I am trying to remember if I have ever seen a positive article from Bleacher Report on Allen. I usually won't even open an article if I see it was written by these hacks. They usually are mostly negative in their articles. Poor journalism from the get go. Not true anymore. Rosen has been getting it worse than Allen lately. Plus people that know anything about pro football know the difference between fake news, quotes like yours, and what is actually going on.
  20. You are going off of what the general opinion on Allen was before camp started. I think he has proven a lot of the preconceived notions about his play as being wrong. Do I think he should start the 1st game? Part of me says yes if he earned it. A part of me says no, work him into it. Seeing as I am not the coach or GM, I don't really know. If he is your best chance of winning and the team knows it, what are you telling the other players that are fighting for a starting job? Are you sending the right signals to the team? And I understand it is the coaches and GM's right to do what they think best for the player and the team in the long run. Just saying it is not as simple as not starting him if he clearly beat out the other two qb's. If the team buys into Allen being their best shot at winning, and then they sit him and go on a possible 5 game losing streak? Then you possibly have the team doubting you and the fans on top of it. I could see where it would be a little tricky. I guarantee you his college coach didn't have Allen prepared. Vigen had no clue how to make a team pay for blitzing.
  21. Look at Allens winning percentage on a rebuilding team. Allen is a winner, stats are for people who don't know how to play the game. Allen does the big and little things to win games, get used to it. He could go 1 for 50, and if he wins I don't care. That is one thing people don't understand about sports. To win all you have to do is score 1 point more than the other team. I could care less if the Bills win ugly, as long as they win. And trust me, Allen won some ugly games at Wyoming. Allen is a winner, and it will only get better.
  22. Don't bring up that the people around him didn't hold up their end. Keep hating. Keep throwing out the negative. Do you remember Reynaldo Nehemia (sp) track star turned 49er?
  23. No much to tell. He hardly ever missed a play, and took some hard hits. His 1st game at Wyoming he got hurt and had the pins put in. He then hit the weight room and bulked up. His 2016 year was huge, especially considering it was year 3 of a rebuild year. His last year was ugly. The theme was to control clock through ball control. Vigen ran it on 1st and 2nd down. And expected Allen to bail him out on 3rd down. The problem was the other team knew our plays and tendencies. Played an 8 man front. Allen was on the run most of the time. Allen needed an OC like Daboll.
