  1. This offense situation is pathetic. I think we deserve an apology from McDermott, Beane and the Pegula's
  2. I wonder if this is the end of the Anderson Era. There were times during the game that he really looked like he would rather be back home. Then he got injured. Next week could be interesting.
  3. Wilson...Watson, Mahomes. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. It's obvious that Beane and McDermott have a plan for the direction that they want to go. Have they made some mistakes along the way, absolutely. They can judge talent, one thing they can't evaluate is heart or determination. Simply because someone has talent doesn't necessarily mean they are a fit for what they are trying to build or establish. And just because someone is a FA doesn't mean they are a good fit for what the organization is trying to do. Maybe their personality or attitude isn't a fit. Maybe they just don't want to be here. The current product on the field is a work in progress. Both Beane and McDermott admitted last year was an enigma and that we were going to struggle. I for one am excited about the direction the organization is headed. It isn't perfect but it is entertaining.
  4. I get it. It just sucks. First MNF game for the Bills in a long time. LOL I remember when the national media was ticked when we went to SB XXVI, SB XXVII AND XXVIII. we were a national embarrassment then too.
  5. Tessitore is no Mike Terrico and Booger is no Dan Dierdorf. The fact that we don't have to listen to Collinsworth is a minor consolation
  6. LOL. the Patriots are the only team of national interest that the Bills play and at home the league probably figured it was our only competitive game. The only other two games were away against the Vikings and Packers. Hindsight the Vikings game would have been our best prime time option. Who knew JA and the defense would play lights out. To avoid embarrassment the defense needs to step up and the offense needs to run the clock. The 12th man has to step up as we always do. Doesn't matter what the stats look like going into the game. The Bills have a chance to win until they don't.
  7. Worst part of MNF has to be the announcing crew, I would sooner listen to the commentary on Madden.
  8. For me its watching Allen develop. Like most fans I have really high hopes for the kid. I have fun watching the defense when it isn't getting shredded and the line is getting pressure on the QB. Tre is a stud and although Edmunds is learning he is probably one of the most athletic LB's the Bills have ever had in their history. This O-line is improving each week, as I expected they would, they are starting to jell. Through the 18yrs of ineptitude my loyalty has remained. Probably the most fun I have is when our family is at New Era enjoying a Bills game with the 72k+ singing the shout song and watching GB fans leave at halftime or watching Cowboy fans crying in their $12 beer as they are experiencing a good old fashioned Buffalo beat down.
  9. If only because Beane snagged his punter off waivers at the beginning of the season.
  10. I am not surprised by the results. I am surprised by how badly they have handled the QB position. They should have done more to protect JA if he wasn't ready to play and their lack of assessment regarding Peterman's ability is inexcusable. IMO. This situation is causing McDermott to backtrack, retract and sound ridiculous. Allen isn't ready to play, he can learn from the sidelines, only to backtrack a week later and say that Allen can learn on the field. Because Peterman played so poorly. I get you can't force anyone to play on the team, but there had to be a plan in place when they sent AJ to the Raiders. To me the Bills Brass has been reactive instead of proactive. Which shouldn't be acceptable to ownership.
  11. I agree they have no choice but to start Anderson. They have to hope that JA returns quickly. The team leaders have to be frustrated with this lost season. The sooner Allen comes back, the sooner Peterman can be let go. At this point he is a cancer to the team. Until the team cuts ties with Nate there is nothing positive about this season regardless of how much development our young players show.
  12. If we start Peterman, regardless of the outcome of the game, we will be laughed out of the league.
  13. It's year 2 of a 3 year plan. We had to start a QB today that hasn't started a game in 2yrs. Our best offensive player was hurt during the first series of the game. It is what it is. Expect the worst and hope for the best. This year was all about drafting a franchise QB. Our offense is setting league records in futility and our defense didn't play up too expectations today. at 2-5 the team is what its record is. I am "hoping" that the team shows better Monday night against NE.
  14. I have a ton of respect for Anderson. I just hope he doesn't pull a Vontae Davis before Allen comes back.
  15. Kid has a lot of heart. His enthusiasm is contagious.
  16. "Outstanding" summary that is right on point. With our offensive talent there is no reason for us to be 2-3 but here we are. There are plenty of measurables in the game of football, but what people can't tangibly see is HEART. A football team needs heart. It seems that every week another rookie or young player is getting our attention because they made a play, made a difference in the game. The kids are learning and growing weekly. Leaps and bounds. When the team plays complimentary football and plays with heart. Days like yesterday happen. on to Houston... GO BILLS!!!
  17. someone smarter than I am will know this stat. But haven't we gone for it more on 4th down more under McDermott in a season and a half than we ever did under Juron? The next time Juron shows emotion while patrolling the sideline will be the first. Sean is 100% in the game. Every snap. Even McDermott's challenges are interesting
  18. Allen had the games only TD and led an effective game ending drive resulting in the winning points. In that drive he had a couple of completions. The kid didn't look nervous or disappoint in how he executed the offense. Kudos to him for his first game winning drive with less than 5 minutes on the clock. If he turns the ball over TN comes out with the "W". JA did his part, nothing magical or jaw dropping. He just did his job. IMO a solid step in the right direction. Success builds confidence. Good bounce back performance by Josh and Co. after last weeks debacle in GB.
  19. you bring up a good point about line spacing or "spreads". If they tightened them up they would not only be able to communicate better, create better blocking angles, give the defense less room to maneuver, it would also make the field appear wider and give our RB's and WR's more room to operate.
  20. At some point during a game you HAVE to win your one-0n-one. Blitzing and stunts are communication issues, letting the guy in front of you go through you and chase the QB all over the field is you being physically dominated and not doing your job. It is inexcusable to me that in a 6v6 two defenders get free to chase Allen in the backfield.
  21. After our game against the Ravens, I passed our o-line problems off as a lack of continuity and figured they would be more productive as the season went on, since the line did not get much work together over the summer and into the pre-season. this type of execution is not acceptable at any level. No wonder we can't move the ball on offense and are the laughing stock if the league. PATHETIC
  22. Butler didn't impress me as GM. When he took the entire Bills front office with him to SD, It set the franchise back 20yrs. He facilitated the Johnson/Flutie fiasco. His drafts were mediocre. Great person, ok personnel guy but he was limited as a business man.
  23. this entire thread made me chuckle... carry on?
