  1. I believe Beane's top priority is WR-1A then DE-1B. depends on what talent is available in FA. Our offense needs to get better. It obviously was better than 2018 but we need more talent on that side of the ball. Big time playmakers, if we want to see the offense step up from mediocrity to good. If they want to give Josh the best opportunity to succeed they need more talent on offense.
  2. I think the biggest difference between the two major sports is that Baseball has worked really hard over the years to maintain the integrity of the game. They haven't always been successful but they at least made the attempt. The NFL has barely made an attempt to acknowledge the problems within the league, let alone fix them. IMO baseball seems to still be about the game, where as the NFL is about business and entertainment and less about the integrity of the game.
  3. I am glad that Daboll will be working with JA next season. Getting rid of Daboll at this stage of Josh's development would either set him back years or completely destroy his career all together. Next season is pretty much a make or break year for our young QB. He needs all the continuity and consistency he can get, to go along with an infusion of talent on the offensive side of the ball. You can't draft a player 7th overall and then continue to keep making excuses for him when he underperforms on the field. I am already fired up about next season. I am extremely confident with higher expectations, Josh will perform at a fantastic level as will our offense. With the way our defense played this year if our offense can increase their production we will not only be fun to watch. The team will be highly successful as well.
  4. I read in another thread the Bills are hiring a sports psychologist. Maybe they are being brought in for Mariota. ?
  5. this is HUGE. I remember John Smoltz a pitcher for the Atlanta Braves was having anxiety issues during his 3rd season in the big leagues. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/baseball-hall-of-fame-2015-john-smoltz-induction-ceremony-braves-1991-turnaround-cooperstown/3rh3666mlade117bebj6v2j8m
  6. I wonder what position Wade will be in next year? If he is ready to step in and contribute. The kid is talented. I am just not sure if he is mentally prepared to handle a role with the offense.
  7. I'm with you. Without having to create an entirely competent offense this offseason it will be interesting to see how Beane handles business and what talent he can surround Josh with.
  8. Obviously the offseason knee surgery he apparently needed, went very well if he is jumping on the hood of a car.
  9. Ryan Tannehill would disagree, but he has a monster at RB that is shredding defenses.
  10. With a more challenging schedule next year, the article isn't wrong. However, I am not sure that Josh will survive a "step-back" season like Mitch apparently has. I am all in on Josh. I think he is our answer. But he needs to continue to grow and develop. We can absolutely have as good as if not a better season than we had last season. But it all rests on Josh and his decision making and ability to handle pressure. He needs to demonstrate consistently he is the reason we are winning. Our offense needs to ROLL!
  11. A dome team playing in the elements of winter, hardly ever bodes well. I expect KC to run away with this game today. Shady is no stranger to snow covered turf and I expect him and the chiefs to have a big game.
  12. I have always been a sucker for the "underdog". The fact that the Titans are a #6 seed and beat the Patriots in Foxboro, Protecting The Bill's record of winning 4 straight conference titles, then shutting up Jackson and the Ravens, while doing it ol' school, by running the ball down their throats and playing nasty defense. Makes them easy to root for. Besides Tannehill looks like a solid game manager when Gase isn't his coach. Really speaks volumes about Gase IMO. I know their HC is a former Patriot and I haven't forgotten the "Music city miracle", but watching a small market team go into the playoffs and make all the professional "experts" react like Regan in The Exorcist, warms the cockles of my heart.
  13. Wow Jackson is 31 of 57...It's gotta suck to be a Ravens fan tonight. Home field advantage wasted. Titans were the sharper team tonight. Ravens looked sluggish.
  14. that is kinda what I was insinuating. I agree Henry makes the Titans offense function at a very high level.
  15. Sadly Jackson considered an MVP candidate isn't even the best player in the game tonight. Henry has looked amazing. TN is playing with a ton of confidence.
  16. Now that a team nucleus is starting to be established, the offseason is beginning to hold as much entertainment value as what happens on the field.
  17. Absurd. In addition to all the calls the league missed during the game, they have the audacity to investigate the Bills because they didn't have him on the injury report for his torn wrist ligaments. I love the Bills and I love the game of football, but this is just stupid. The league continues to do everything it can to ruin the game.
  18. awwww. Jerry, Jerry Jerry. Thank god you get paid for your opinion not your intelligence. "You have been weighed, you have been measured and been found.. wanting"
  19. The no-call on the hit in reference is probably the most egregious official "mistake" of the entire game. That was a dangerous helmet to helmet hit that thankfully Josh got up from. IMO it appears that the officials were more concerned with the final outcome of the game instead of player safety, in this instance.
  20. was he actually thrown too? I hope we never see it again.
  21. Thanks TEN for preserving the Bills record of 4 straight AFC championships by beating the Patriots tonight.
  22. Thank you TEN. You are everyone's favorite team tonight.
  23. 13 rushing attempts in game that close was not enough. He needed to be more involved in the 2nd half.
  24. I get it. But we had 5 sacks in the first half and their offense wasn't moving the ball at all. In the 2nd half we only had 2 sacks and Watson had all kinds of time to throw. Why? Did the Texans o-line suddenly get better? or Did McDermott determine he needed to change the defensive philosophy in the 2nd half? How can we score a TD on the opening drive the first 3 minutes of the game and not another one the entire game?
  25. That throw to DeMarco wasn't the only time he ran a "go" during the game. It just happened to stand out when Allen made the throw.
