I mean Nantz was trying to credit him as an author of Josh Allen's breakthrough. It was a bit too much. Although it is an awesome story and I'm so glad that those two old pros were willing and interested to sit down for a chat with Josh. I love that anecdote. The story I thought was nice to hear was the one about McD putting a handwritten note in Bass' locker after that first game with the misses. Amidst the loss and all the knee jerk reactions I think it's possible that fans sometimes forget that player development is a thing and it happens on a curve. It's not just player bad = cut. Player good= ignore and wait for magic.

Shout-out to special teams in the loss. 4FGs (2 from over 50 yards), recovered an onside kick, and a punt return fumble at the 3. That unit played lights out. Missed xp was the only blemish.

The Bills were one of the worst teams in the league versus tight ends I had hoped that they would game plan for Kelce in particular, and figured that other players would kill us. In the end, no pocket pressure, and Kelce and Hill blew us up. I guess they stopped the run game? Even then they killed us on reverses. What is disappointing is that they seemed reactive rather than proactive. At no stage did they force Kansas to do anything different than normal.

The interior D had to do better. The most expensive in the league? Didn't look like it I didn't hear Butler, Jefferson, or Oliver's name once. The defense, didn't seem to have a plan for Kelce at all.

I really enjoyed the season. Every year under MCB there has been growth KC dominated today. Disappointed that outside of special teams the Bills couldn't make a splash play. As such they really didn't deserve the win.

I hate that KC are picking up so many injuries. I need them to beat Brady.

Beasley was the only guy making plays for Josh tonight sadly. KC have been much better. I can live with it.

It's great to see him say that. They really do have a lot in common. Both received almost insulting criticisms pre-draft. I was delighted to see them both get their first win. Whoever wins , I will be hoping they go all the way.

I'm surprised that you can watch enough college games in London to assess these guys. Are they on Sky or something? Combing through late round players seems like a bit too much like hard work to me. I find little nuggets from the draft networks to be interesting. This week I learned that Dylan Moses has been playing through a lot of pain, and that people close to Micah Parsons aren't sure if he's especially committed to football. Not sure if either are true, but these types of rumours have held water in the past with guys like Reuben Foster and Leighton Vander Esch. I agree about the senior bowl being interesting. I really liked Onwenu last year and WR Godwin of Tampa a few years back.

Edmunds has elite straight line speed. The question then is can he read the run fits correctly. Milano reads the play better but is only a good athlete. They are in a great scheme and are made to look good, but I couldn't call either of them elite.

Yes I heard that. In fairness 40 total tds is very impressive. Those stats maybe more impressive than Watson's who got a lot of garbage time soft defenses when his team were already down by 40. Part of me thinks he had a fairly good case for probowl. But we all know that selection is a popularity contest. He probably thinks to himself that he is unlikely to have a better season.

You wouldn't say that if you had seen him play at guard for Carolina.

The obvious cuts are D line since they are wildly overpaid in proportion to their production. But McD loves his DT rotation. I think Jefferson may be a casualty since his guaranteed money is mostly gone.

In a perfect world I would keep them all. I agree that continuity is important especially on the OLine. But with that in mind, remember Feliciano missed the first half of the season, and Williams hasnt even been here a year. Just as you can't promise an adequate replacement, who is to say you can't draft a really good player? If we have a postseason run, their market will change, Williams becomes a $14 mill tackle, Feliciano a $7 mill guard. Milano has the athletic traits of a 5th rounder. He works well in this system, but he is an average run defender who misses tackles in the open. He's best as a cover defender. You can get the same player in the 3rd or 4th in Pete Werner. I get the attachment to the players. These guys have been fantastic for the Bills. I loved the story when Milano and Davis arranged for that kid to get the new blades. Their play has earned them the opportunity to score the biggest contract available and we should trust McB with the reload.

Many of the QBs listed above Allen are in the twilight of their career. There are (by my reckoning) 8 active QBs who have won a superbowl. Of those, Foles and Flacco are reserves. Meanwhile, Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees, are diminished versions of themselves with very little time left. That leaves only 3 QBs who are proven with plenty of time left- Rodgers, Wilson and Mahomes. In the tier I categorise as young and upcoming, I would put Allen, Watson, Prescott, Jackson. Happily I think guys like Tremaine and Josh are able to externalise fan and media 'feedback'. They work hard and improve themselves and the team. People who don't see that will always try to reconcile their stats versus their draft position.
