  1. Wouldn't have made the news
  2. I started watching the Buffalo Plus YouTube channel during training camp this year. I enjoy the chemistry the 3 of them have. I saw Jenna walking around at the practice I went to. She looks even better in person.
  3. Brady introduced himself to Josh's dad at a golf event last year and the first thing he said was "I love your son" The term check down isn't really a dirty word. It only has a negative connotation to Bills fans because of Trent Edwards and the nickname "Captain Check Down" 😆
  4. Ralph was from Detroit. According to the Bills 50th anniversary DVD he and his father had a small stake in the Lions at one point. As far as Miami goes, I remember hearing there was an issue with a lease for the Orange Bowl and Ralph chose Buffalo instead.
  5. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. My dad, brother, some friends, and I went to the home opener against Miami after it was announced that the Pegula's had agreed to buy the team. They also had the ceremony to honor Ralph. Jim Kelly was in the early stages of his cancer battle. The ovation he got when he stepped up to the podium to speak at the ceremony gave me chills. What an atmosphere that day! Not to mention the Bills went on the beat the snot out of the Dolphins that day too.
  6. There is a "50 Greatest Drought Moments" video on YouTube. Of course the drought was brutal. But the video is kind of a fun watch. It was fun remembering where I was for some of the moments and what ones I was there for in person.
  7. I was at this game too. I was gifted the tickets at about 8:00 the night before. I scrambled around to find someone to go with. I ended up taking a very attractive former classmate. It was her first NFL game. What a finish!
  8. I never tried to get tickets because I didn't know I'd be up that way at all during camp. But I'm on my up to visit my dad and go to the races with him tonight. Does anybody have an extra ticket or 2 for tomorrow morning's practice?
  9. So why are they requiring tickets for every practice? I used to go every year and the night practices were the only ones that a ticket was required. The only thing I've attended recently was the blue and red scrimmage. I got a ticket to that because someone from work gave me one.
  10. Toronto and the stadium naming rights always went hand in hand for me. On one hand we had to listen to Ralph and Russ Brandon whine about Buffalo being a small market and how selling a home game to Toronto was necessary to expand the fan base and create more revenue. On the other hand, they completely ignored a huge revenue stream by not selling the naming rights of the stadium for over 15 years. That has always infuriated me.
  11. I didn't remember that Cornelius Bennett and Peyton Manning were teammates.
  12. I remember watching this game with my dad. I was 11. I told him I thought they were going to block that FG
  13. A group of us, including my dad and my brother attended the Bills/Bengals game in 2013. It was the one that Thad Lewis started at QB. There was a father and son sitting in front of us. It was the son's first game. He couldn't have been any more than 7 or 8 years old. Thad Lewis connected with Marquise Goodwin on a long TD pass late that tied the game. This kid turned around to high five my brother. My brother picked him up and held him over his head so he could high five the people behind us. The kid loved it and I don't think I've ever laughed that hard at a Bills game.
  14. The Broncos probably wouldn't have cut him if he'd crashed on Von's couch that night. 😆
  15. I thought that one was included on here but that is a good one too.
  16. He also ran on the field to join in a bench clearing brawl with high school kids when his younger brother was playing at St. Joe's. He got kicked off the team at Clemson in addition to his high school team in PA. I'm pretty sure he got in a bar fight while at Ole' Miss. Just throwing in some stories that may have been missed in this thread.
  17. I'm watching on YouTube and they finally just figured out there was no audio for almost 10 minutes
  18. I live in Elmira so I'm close to the NY/PA border. I occasionally bet on Draftkings. You cannot play table games/slots etc. in NY State. But as soon as I cross into PA those games become available. I take my car for service to a dealership in PA and have played a few hands of blackjack while I was waiting.
  19. I've run into a lot of Bills fan when I've been traveling. I went to the fall Nascar race in Charlotte in 2017 with my dad. He lives in Holley and there were people from Brockport there for a wedding staying in the same hotel. They said something to me about the Bills shirt I had on in the lobby. Somebody yelled "Go Bills" while we were walking to our seats at the race. I went to Cape Cod and Boston a few years ago. I talked to a guy on a whale watching trip who was originally from East Aurora. Unfortunately he was a Patriots fan because he'd lived in Boston for so long. I talked to a girl from Holland waiting for the train and was approached by a couple outside of Quincy Market who were from Youngstown on that trip as well.
  20. Not to mention she's probably not looking for a ring.
  21. I would have been in 10th grade at the conclusion of the trial. They herded us into the library to watch the verdict live on TV.
  22. I remember seeing on SportsCenter that the Bills had signed Chris Spielman and being so excited that my sister came downstairs to see why I was yelling. It's a shame that he only wound up playing one full season in Buffalo. 23. It actually happened to Tom Brady during "The Match" a few years ago. Phil Mickelson loaned him a pair of rain pants.
  24. Thurman going to Miami was brutal but I understand his side of it. If I remember correctly, he found out he'd been released from ESPN before anyone from the team had let him know. He was pissed! He said that if the the team had come to him and told him they couldn't afford him, he would have retired. I saw him speak at a fundraiser in Corning in June. He still looks like he could play. So does Andre
