  1. I do have metrics to back this observation up. (Football Outsiders) SF Oline is ranked 24th out of 32 teams. Rankings (Higher is worse): power ranking is 21/32 stuff rate is 24/32 2nd level blocking 22/32 open field 8/32 Pass blocking 10/32 Buffalo Oline is 19/32 Power 22/32 Stuffed Rate 27/32 2nd Level 9/32 open field 6/32 Pass Blocking 4/32 Similar to what Baltimore deploys
  2. the last 4-5 minutes of the first half were damned entertaining! Unless you pack Po Boys in your lunch box!
  3. It was covered up thread Thurm SF 2nd, 3rd 4th in 2023 SF 5th in 2024
  4. Before this trade Carolina only had the following pics in 2023: All their own. 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th The Pats have Carolina's 3rd and 6th (of course/ draft day trade and Gilmore), and the Jags have the 7th (Leviska Shenault) 2023 after the McCaffrey and Anderson trades: 1st (CAR), 2nd (CAR), 2nd (SF), 3rd (SF), 4th (CAR), 4th (SF), 5th (CAR) Good job by Carolina GM to start stockpiling draft picks for the 2023 draft for the rebuild they need to do 7 picks in the top 5 rounds They also added a 2024 5th (SF) and a 2024 6th (ARZ) for McAffrey and Anderson. 1st (CAR), 2nd (CAR), 3rd (CAR), 4th (CAR), 5th (TEN), 5th (SF), 6th (ARZ) Mayfield will cost them a 4th or 5th in 2024 based on play time. Mayfield needs to play 70% of offensive snaps to become a 4th in 2024
  5. TD! Dalton with one to his own team this time!
  6. Meet Emma. She's a regular on Chief's Planet. She was a crack head for 6 years, but moved up to Meth when she moved into Jason's trailer which doubles as his 'lab.' He's a real entrepreneur with a future.Don't worry though, her pronouns are zim/ zey and she describes herself as pan sexual.
  7. This was the jynx Dalton felt Thursday Night
  8. So bad it's good Who had a parlay where Dalton threw more TDs to the Cardinals than Murray? 🤣
  9. He is in the Primus of his career. Claypool here, nah. On GB or NYG yeah could fill a need.
  10. How on Earth were Milano and Lawson that low?! Neal and Elam are a bit high IMO Offense seems about right.
  11. I really want GB to win this weekend so the Bills do not face a desperate and focused Rodgers the week later. Say what you want to, a desperate Rodgers/ GB is not a good team to face. That said otherwise Bills by a lot.
  12. It's ok to point out that a 5-1 Bills team who looks good can and should improve. The Bills have a bit of a turnover problem this year. Tipped passes are a problem all of a sudden. 11 or so now. They also have a red zone issue (18th in the NFL) As much as the Bills are playing great, they can play even better. Maybe someone other than Josh Allen should manufacture TDs? (Milano 1, Cook 1, Allen 19) Just a crazy thought. They can play super. That is what we all want.
  13. to be fair, what other 4:00-4:25 pm games were nationalized? CBS showed their other games to only a tiny local fanbase. Good on Bills and Allen to get to this level.
  14. Said it in the run game defense thread and I'll repeat it. Most underrated Bill this year.
  15. Silly stats sheets missed that. OK Allen is 90% of Buffalo TDs... 95% of offense. My bad.
  16. Hurts' 1514 passing yards are 8th in the NFL. Top 10. Allen has attempted 239 passes vs Hurts 184. Allen has 54 more passes than Hurts. Sanders has 57 more rushes than Singletary. There is your difference. The Eagles employ a more balanced attack. If my OL is elite, and the Eagles OL is (so is their DL), then I employ a balanced attack. Running the ball is an assertion of power and control in the NFL. It keeps a defense on their toes so to speak. Sanders is a good back, but not top tier. The Eagle OL is top 3. It improves Sanders and Hurts. 4 QBs have attempted more passes than Allen this year (Brady, Murray, Ryan, Herbert). The fact Allen is tops in yards passing and tied for tops in TD passes shows Buffalo's passing efficiency. Mahomes has even fewer passes attempted than Allen and has the same TDs. This is why Mahomes is a stud too. But Red zone efficiency matters, in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. The Eagles who employ a balanced attack score TDs 64% (7th) of the time in the red zone The Bills who reply on Josh Allen alone score TDs 54.5% (18th) of the time in the red zone Balanced attacks matter. The Bills have scored 21 touchdowns. Only 1 of them has not been an Allen pass or run. (Cook 1) The Eagles have scored 20 touchdowns. Hurts manufactured 13 of them. Other players have scored 7. (Sanders 4, Gainwell 2, Scott 1) Neither Defense or ST have scored yet This is an issue, and is the reason why people like me want CMC here as a rental. Someone has to take the stress off of JA to score TDs, and help improve Red Zone efficiency. It's also why JA is the MVP. He scores 95% of the TDs on the NFL's 2nd highest scoring team. Only Mahomes is close to that number. CMC literally would cost the Bills $61k a game this year and whatever draft pick they give up. Buffalo would have to trade/ restructure or cut CMC next season (11.5 million base salary). GO ALL IN NOW.
  17. Define elite quarterback. Terms like 'elite' and 'GOAT' are being thrown around so much right now that they are losing any meaning. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are also 3-3. How do you rate them? Cooper Rush is 4-1 and Dan Jones is 5-1, are they elite now? Silly argument. Baltimore's offense is dragging their terrible defense to a 3-3 record. Guess who leads that offense? There are 2 elite QBs in the league today. Allen and Mahomes. Jackson is tier 2 by any measure. 1-3 in the playoffs? He lost to Buffalo who needed a Taron Johnson pick 6 to turn that game around. Thankfully Johnson has a knack for those types of plays. (See KC last week) He lost to the Titans and Derek Henry who went off for 195 yards rushing. Was he playing defense? He lost to a Chargers team where he out dueled Rivers. Rivers 0 TD - 0 INT, Jackson 2 TD - 1 INT Clearly Jackson melted down versus the Giants last week. No argument there. Two turnovers in the last 5 minutes of the game stinks. But that was after the Baltimore defense melted down in the 4th quarter. His best WR, Bateman, has missed 3.5 games. That hurts any QB, ask Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady. That was a team loss, not just a Jackson loss. It's also recency bias. Any QB who gets my team a double digit second half lead in 5 of 6 games is doing something right. Baltimore is 3-3 because of terrible defense and bad decisions by Harbaugh. Letting Wink Martinale go was also a terrible decision. I put Lamar in the top 10 of QBs in the league right now, and may put him top 5. Jackson is 40-15 in his career with 97 passing TDs against 37 INTs and a 63-64% completion rate. Let's also discount everything he does with his legs. Pundits have been doing that to Allen for years. QBs are playing and winning in different ways now. How do you rank Jalen Hurts? He is 6-0. By your logic even better than Allen and Mahomes. I showed DVOA and SRS to show Buffalo is the clear #1 team in the league so far. Eagles are top 3, but by most measures so is Baltimore. It adds credit to the Bills wins on the road vs Baltimore and KC. The KC defense is not good, neither is the Baltimore defense. The offense is dragging both teams into the top 10 in DVOA and SRS. The Bills offense struggled at times against both. I agree with you that winning the Lombardy in this window is the only thing that matters. At one point in the first half the Bills had 3 possessions in the red zone and walked away with 3 points against one of the worst defenses in the league. Eagles/Dallas/49ers defenses are much better than Baltimore and KC. That has to improve to get a Lombardy in Buffalo.
  18. Shady grew up in Harrisburg, PA an Eagles fan His favorite team is 5-0 He made his name as an Eagle Can't blame the guy for a bit of homerism. Analytics says otherwise: Top 10 Team DVOA (Football Outsiders) 1) Bills - 43.3! 2) Eagles - 29.1 3) Ravens - 23.2 4) Cowboys - 19.8 5) 49ers - 16.4 6) Tampa - 15.4 7) Chiefs - 10.1 8 ) Jags! - 9.2 9) Seahawks - 6.7 10) Patriots - 6.6 Top 10 Total SRS (ProFootball Focus) 1) Bills - 17.9! 2) Ravens - 9.2 3) Eagles - 7.9 4) Bengals - 6.6 5) Chiefs - 5.9 6) Pats -4.9 7) Jets - 4.4 8) Cowboys - 3.7 9) Dolphins - 3.6 10 ) Tampa - 3.2 By any analytics (maybe not PFF 🤣) the Bills are far and away the top team in the NFL so far this season. Bills beat 2 teams in the top 10 of both lists (Ravens and Chiefs) Funny to see Ravens and Eagles top 3 in both. According to many here Lamar Jackson sucks. It is the offensive DVOA and offensive SRS keeping the Ravens in the top 3 of both lists. Chiefs are top 10 in both but no higher than 5th in either. Two 5-1 teams are not in either top 10: Giants and Vikings. DVOA shows the NFC to be stronger. SRS shows the AFC is stronger. By SRS the AFC East has 4 of the top 10 teams in the league. This may be why many here (me included) are saying the AFC East is no cakewalk. 7 teams on both top 10 lists: Bills (1/1)/ Eagles (2/3)/ Ravens (3/2) / Cowboys (4/8) / Chiefs (7/5)/ Tampa (6/10) Pats (10/6) Those are your top 7 teams by analytics
  19. Big MACC Showdown this weekend. UB has been very entertaining this season. Also not sure anyone knows SU is ranked #14 nationally! They play some team named Clemson (#5) this weekend.
  20. They have faced the third fewest rush attempts against, but Buffalo is allowing 3.5 YPC which is second best in the league, behind only SF who is allowing 3.3 YPC.
  21. DaQuan Jones has been the most underrated player on this team this season. What an addition. Add to that Rousseau is a very complete DE already.
  22. I do see a WC coming out of the AFC East. The AFC South is atrocious. The AFC North could get a WC, but as of now all of those teams look middling and they will beat each other up. The AFC West was overinflated. Chargers/ Chiefs out of that division. Jets/ Dolphins/Pats could all be in play for a WC birth. Don't see a team in the East finishing worse than 8-9.
  23. I looked at Carolina's OG and S situation. No bueno. Didn't look at Texans who just canned Easterby. In other news: KC just restructured Kelce's contract. The move clears up $3 Million in cap space this year. KC making moves for a trade?
