  1. I agree. QBs have been looking his way and testing him a lot the past two games. He has been beat quite a bit (71%) but not terrible. What I like about Elam is he can get beat a couple of times in a quarter, but come back with an INT/PB later in the game. He has a short memory for being beat, but a good memory for how he was beat and rarely gets beat the same way twice. I like that moxy in a CB. In college he was a man on man guy. His athleticism let him dominate lesser competition. It seems he was handsy in college and that may be allowed a bit more in college. He is adjusting and improving each game. I am certain with his football IQ, athletic ability and McDermott and Frazier coaching him up he will be like a Tre White 2.0. That is aok with me. as far as DROY/DPOY I don't see it
  2. That is because Denver is in all of them!
  3. 19 penalties thrown ans they do not call that LOL!!!
  4. I vote for a garrote
  5. We as Bills fans have mastered that strategy
  6. Agree. Going for it on 4th and 1 deep in your own territory is the farthest thing from a conservative and defensive minded coach.
  7. Agree. I really liked Cam Akers as a potential draftee a year or so back. Power runner with some speed. But some folks don't understand, or don't want to acknowledge how much of a career killer an Achilles injury is. There are some outliers, but most of the players who recovered are super stars who end up being (+) players after one. The Rams have the 2nd worst rush attack in the NFL and 2nd worst YPC in the NFL. Akers has only started 2 games and has a 3.0 YPC. He is cooked
  8. this is like signing an All-Pro/ Pro Bowl level CB at the bye week. So happy to have Tre Day coming back. The bye week in general was perfectly timed this year. You think Elam and Benford have relegated Dane Jackson to the bench?
  9. Rough game for certain, but I'm not sure McKenzie should be the slot. I don't think OBD thought so either, which is why they brought in Crowder. Thankfully it looks like Shakir could be another answer with Crowder down. Hope McKenie goes back to the go-go gadget guy where he is excellent. I wish Dorsey would dust off a few of those plays when a spark is needed, or to slow down a ferocious pass rush.
  10. Take McCaffrey off of that team and they might have won 0 games. Might be the reason why OJ went nuts! 🤣
  11. I think we tend to neglect the pretty poor coaching Josh Allen had before the NFL. A small HS in rural CA. Not exactly a Prep School/ Academy that cranks out DI players and future pros 2 Years in a Junior College - not nearly the level of coaching of a power DI school or even a good DIII program. 2 Years Wyoming - a DI program, but average college DI program/ coaching By the time Josh Allen reached the NFL he was a dry sponge for the high level X-Os. He had all the talent all along, but pretty poor coaching overall. Dabs does have a world of knowledge about offense and taught him everything he knew. Many of us wanted Buffalo to bring in an aging B level QB with a good football mind to help mentor Allen. A lot of people on this board poo-pooed the suggestion. I think any person in any skilled trade benefits from having a strong mentor. Fortunately Buffalo did bring in a load of mentors. Guys who were very good offensive QB minds, but didn't quite have the skills to succeed at the NFL. Dorsey was an excellent DI Power program QB, but didn't quite have the skill set to execute at a high level at the NFL. Derek Anderson (carved out a solid, but unspectacular career as a QB), Matt Barkley etc. All in that grouping. Allen finally had high IQ football guys surrounding him and he soaked it all in. Credit to all. Dabs checked his ego enough to allow the Dorsey/ Barkley etc to be brought in and help with the process. It took a village and Allen just soaked it all in and has the IQ to learn it, and apply it. This is without even mentioning Palmer and his work with Allen in his early offseasons to work on mechanics to make better use of his physical gifts.
  12. Agree, there are not many teams/QB historically who can pick up 40-50 yards and manage the clock with 0:30 or less left and get a FG try off. KC/Mahomes is one of them. Add to that the K nailed a 62 yarder. How many kickers can do that??? I'll surrender enough yards to force a 60+ FG try every time if it prevents a TD on a big play.
  13. Daboll may be one of the rare coaches who is a better HC than coordinator. We see the opposite all the time, so this is really interesting to see.
  14. Hollywood Brown's injury may be season ending. Just announced within the last hour. Makes sense for AZ, Brown and Anderson are both field stretchers. Anderson basically fills in the Brown role now. Getting Hopkins back gives them their big possession WR, and Ertz still has gas in the tank. Solid move by AZ, but can Murray make hay with his weapons?
  15. One could argue McCaffrey who had 1387 yards rushing (4.8 avg), 15 rushing TDs AND 1005 yards receiving (8.7 avg) and 4 TDs receiving How many times has 1000 rush and 1000 receiving yards happened in a season? 19 TDs is pretty strong too. Only 1 fumble.
  16. Akers is cooked. Achilles injury after effects are showing up. He had some weird reprieve at the end of last season, but the law of averages is storming back. 160 yards of offense today on a garbage offense
  17. Where did I say he was? Congrats, you won an argument you created in your head.
  18. His passing has suffered since his best/ most explosive WR went down in the game vs Buffalo (Rashod Bateman). Duvernay is a nice compliment but not a number one. Some of the RBs like Dobbins and Hill that Baltimore relies on to get the run game going have missed time too. Let's put all the data into the conversation.
  19. He gets beat sometimes, but has a knack for making really big plays like against Pittsburgh, Baltimore, KC (not all this year) etc. He makes 1 or 2 game winning/ game changing plays a season.
  20. Most toxic message board I've ever visited. 🤢 And that is coming from me! 🤔
  21. DL and OL are very very strong, it is why they will be difficult for anyone to beat Old fashioned football and building in the trenches is still important
  22. 3 point game and the Dallas D is due for a big play....
  23. game is getting more interesting...
  24. This week exposed a lot of pretenders (Tampa/ 49ers/ Packers)
