  1. Types of penalties matter. PI, holds, etc are one things. Its the false starts that shows a lack of preparation. I went back and looked at last years penalties and not nearly the level of false starts and especially not by starting units.
  2. False starts should not being happening like they did. That is 100% lack of focus and preparation. Its one thing to not play well. But those types of things are a concern.
  3. Easy to read into to stuff when things like this are happening. But it did seem much of last year there was not a ton of energy with the team. A lot of going through the motions. Who knows, maybe they never recovered from 13 seconds? Maybe there are internal issues around what guys are getting rehired, extended, etc? Or maybe there is nothing. The people in the room are the only ones that really know.
  4. We sucked. No sugar coating it. Our starters were worse than Steelers starters and back ups. Josh was quickly bailing the pocket even when OL blocked. Cook could not hit the holes. The play calling only worked on kick slants. Everything else was a mess. The D could not stop anything. Special teams sucked. A bazillion penalties. This was a classic stinker.
  5. I asked that as well and have not received confirmation.
  6. We still have starters in and can’t stop them
  7. And the assist from Harty
  8. Is Harty the smallest guy in the league? Looks tiny.
  9. What is that 4 or 5 false starts
  10. Can there really be a best on that drive. Kind of a small sample size.
  11. I can’t think of a single positive in this game. 7 penalties O can’t sustain a drive D gives up long run and could not stop anything punt team sucked penalty on kick off mlb clearly bad secondary looks slow cook 3 for 3, that is 3 yards
  12. Can anyone confirm the Bills have actually been practicing?
  13. Brown sucks as expected. Maybe we should give me Peters a look asap. this game could not go worse. Only preseason but terrible and a wasted opportunity to get some work in for the starters. Now they likely sit next week and go week one without much work.
  14. We don’t need a mlb. Yeah right.
  15. Come home so you can be part of the parade.
  16. I think they have too much faith in Brown. Not just his play but ability to stay healthy. Bad play at RT will lead to TE and RB helping in pass protection. Or Dorsey will need to utilize more quick throws and dump offs to RB’s, etc. Will mean less Diggs with the ball in his hands.
  17. Started every game since day 1. Last year he had 117 tackles / 9 tfl, 2 int and 6 pd, 1 FF, 2 FR, 5 sacks, 14 qb hits, 83.1 qbr against, 7% missed tackle. The numbers stack up pretty well. I would take him for a 3rd and 4th.
  18. No injuries. A sign of life from our “upgraded” depth wr’s. At least average play from our OL. Discipline and lass mistakes or penalties than last week.
  19. Dodson - Undrafted and signed as udfa. Suspended for domestic violence. Cut after the suspension and resigned to PS. Fill playing time (150 snaps per year) over the past 3 years. Replacement for Edmunds (some calling him upgrade...). Fighting and swinging helmet at his teammates.
  20. Welp. There goes the "Brown back up plan".
  21. Just look at last year. KC had meaningful impact in the playoffs from: 2022 Draft picks (4 rookies starting and multiple others with decent roles, only 1 did not play) McDuffie started all 3 playoff games Karlaftis started all 3 playoff games Watson started all 3 playoff games Pacheco started all 3 playoff games Moore PT in playoffs including a TD Cook PT in playoffs Chenal PT in playoffs Williams PT in playoffs Johnson PT in playoffs on ST 2021 Draft Picks (4 of these rookies started in 2022 playoffs, 2 did not play) Bolton started all 3 playoff games Humphrey started all 3 playoff games Gray started all 3 playoff games Smith started all 3 playoff games In comparison the Bills: 2022 Draft Picks (0 Rookies starting and 3 with PT, 5 did not play) Bills had zero rookies from 2022 starting both playoff games. Only 3 of the Bills 8 picks played (Bernard ST snaps in one games if you want to count that). Elam played 60 of D snaps which was highest. Cook and Shakir were in the 30's. 2021 Draft Picks (2 of these rookies start both games and 1 with PT, 5 did not) Rousseau and Brown started with Basham getting PT. So there you have it. KC has 8 players from the 2021 and 2022 drafts starting in the playoffs for a Super Bowl winning team. With others playing roles. Only 3 players from these drafts did not play. The Bills are the opposite. They had only two starters and only 6 even getting snaps. They had 10 not playing.
  22. We say this every year around this time.
  23. More flawed logic. The Bills are gonna be better this year because the running game will be better with Cook, Harris, and Torrence on the OL. Other team gets RB and RB’s don’t matter. If the Jets D is solid as expected, Rodgers just have to distribute the ball to guys like Cook, Hall, Wilson. They will be a tough out for anyone. Going to hold a lot of teams under 20. With Rodgers and the players around him it’s going to be easier to score more than 20. They lost 6 games last year they held teams to 20 or less. Flip those and they are 13-4.
