  1. And they put up with his bs AND brought him back even though he was toast
  2. Question for the look how much better we are than before McBeane argument: When do you make a change? Only if they start losing? Say the team can go 10 straight years winning 12-13 games but never makes a super bowl appearance? I don't think you fire anyone for what they have done thus far, but it is also not a lifelong pass. Coaches rarely can replace talent, but coaches can limit the potential of talent. Thus far McD has met expectations with having a talent like Allen and the rest of the team. If he loses with Allen then clearly he has failed. But when is not winning enough the issue? When do you need a coach that can elevate the talent?
  3. Sorry forgot racism does not exist. There is no scenario in the world that could have Pegula along with McD/Beane taking exception with a player questioning them. There could be no mindset of we are in charge not them. No worries about losing the players and needing to send a message that McD/Beane are here to stay, if your not on board then find a new home. Race could or could not play a part. But it happens all the time in the world. I have seen many times that you reward your own as a message to others. It could be blatant and purposeful, or just an unconscious way of operating. Heck why is the NFL still needing to create incentives to hire black coaches? Why do many black players still say they are treated differently? May not be the case here, but saying it does not exist is naive.
  4. Diggs has issue with things. McD and Beane are rewarded. Could be related could be not. We knows maybe Diggs went as far as saying the team needs a change in leadership and this is the message no it does not.
  5. I would hope ownership goal is higher than what has been achieved. If not what is the point.
  6. This is going to be an unpopular take. But the timing is interesting. Could it be a message from ownership to the players, especially the black players. The GM and coach are my guys, you are a player aka the staff and need to know your place. Diggs speaking up and challenging the coach and GM stirred the pot. So Pegula needs to show that he stands with them. Who knows maybe some of the character guys talk bothers players. It can be viewed as a certain way to some of the black players. It was interesting in the comments around this extension, specifically calling out being a good Christian, etc.
  7. Ok I will play...J Simmons, Surtain, Jeudy and 3 1st rounders.
  8. POST-6/1 TRADE 2023 Dead Cap: $13,205,111 2024 Dead Cap: $31,096,000 Not going to happen. If it does people need to be fired immediately.
  9. And Sherfield the year before in SF? And the 3 years before that in AZ? To me Sherfield is an avg guy and a roster bubble-type player. Not an upgrade to the WR just a replacement.
  10. This. People come to this board for different things. For me, I prefer to discuss what is going wrong and how to fix it. How to get better or things I want to see done. That is not whining. What is the point of discussing anything if its only "trust the process and dont question anything" or "we could be worse so dont complain or find a new team". I don't get anything out of discussing only how great everything is. This board is not a "lets show how much we love the Bills and support the team" for me.
  11. If you put your sports ego aside and trust your GM. Take $30M instead of $50M per. Let your GM use that $20M to build the team around you. Win a few super bowls, be a superstar like Brady. You will earn that $20Mper back in endorsements and marketing while playing and have even more money waiting for you when you retire.
  12. Allen still has the 3rd largest total contract $ behind Mahomes and Jackson.
  13. https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/buffalo-bills-deandre-hopkins-dalvin-cook-team-up-free-agency-rumors-contract-sign-josh-allen Dalvin ($5M cap) and Hopkins ($8M cap) Cut Hines, Murray (Dont need them with Cook Bros) & Neal (overpaid ST) Restrux Dawkins, Morse, Johnson Have a few $M to spare If coach would have put Kumerow in then we would have beaten CIN and won the Super Bowl. I bet Kumerow could throw the ball over them mountains.
  14. Crowder was hurt in oct Davis was battling injuries since Sept Kumerow is more ST than WR Shakir had minimal impact They should have acted much sooner to bring help in the WR. It was lack of action not lack of options.
  15. Here is the problem with waiting to fire a coach. you wait until they have a bad year and then fire them, bring in a new guy, who often blows the team up. So you never see what a different coach could have done with the same roster. That would be the argument for bringing someone in while you are winning. You just want to get over the bump not hit restart.
  16. Not many coaches would not make the playoffs with Allen and this roster. Winning in the playoffs has been the issue. Look what Tomlin has done in Pitt with way less talent. Or SF with no QB. I am not for firing him yet…but at some point maybe.
  17. Stop Diggs. Make Allen player Superman ball. That is how you beat the Bills. They need someone behind Diggs to keep a good D / game plan honest.
  18. If I am playing the Bills I am going to attack the middle of the field. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  19. Isn't Isaiah McK 5'8" / 170lb? And Cole Beasley? And Jamison Crowder?
  20. I think we are overhyping the improvements made at OL and WR. OL - I am hopeful McG can be an upgrade over Saffold. But to call it a sure thing is naive. The rest of the line is the same. I think much of the hope will be on Spencer Brown playing better, he was worse than Saffold last year. If Edwards or Torrence beat out Bates is that a major or minor upgrade? Bates is already a serviceable G. Torrence could be the long-term answer though. We are splitting hairs if we are debating the depth. The most important depth is at C and we still are in trouble if Morse goes down. WR - I don't buy the Harty and Sherfield hype. Both guys have been in the league four years and done nothing. Yet we call them upgrades over Crowder and McK who had accomplished a lot more. The real story here will be G Davis (assuming we dont get Hopkins) and how he plays this year. If he is bad it does not matter much what Harty and Sherfield do. I also think we are underestimating the loss of Edmunds. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  21. So do you have post from last year saying - Saffold signing is terrible? Cook and Elam will barely play?
  22. Recency bias. This years draft is always better than last years when last year does not turn out well. Same applies to free agents. Saffold was considered an A grade signing last year and now the narrative is replacing him with anyone is an upgrade. Same result could be with any of the guys we signed this year. Its the we dont know yet so has to be better mindset.
  23. Last year. We were the super bowl favorite and the talk of the league. Recent memory bias - this year's signings have hopes and dreams...just like this year. Last year was actually a bigger haul before the play actually started. Bringing back the core with breakout years coming for Davis, Brown, Oliver, Knox, Rousseau Draft: Elam is a day 1 plug and play CB Cook is going to be dynamic and rookie of the year candidate. Shakir was a steal and be a huge factor in the passing and return game Elam is a day 1 plug FA's - Most graded A/B signings https://billswire.usatoday.com/lists/buffalo-bills-free-agent-von-miller-oj-howard-rodger-saffold/ Von Miller - pass rush issues solved = Super bowl DL - Problem solved - Settle, Jones, Phillips, Lawson Saffold is a former pro bowler and solidifies the only weakness on the line Crowder is a huge upgrade at slot OJ Howard finally gives us a TE2 target
  24. See what Diggs is doing with his hands? It’s my co$& is bigger than yours. I knew this fight was about that.
