I'd say arguably my best friend is a kid I grew up with. Went to elementary, middle, and high school together. We went our separate ways for college; we'd occasionally play video games online together but that was it. We reconnected towards the end of college and became really close again. I live in DC and he lives in Atlanta so we don't see each other all that often, but we talk a pretty decent amount and try to go on a couples vacation together every year or two. Outside of him, I have a few other friends from high school but it's mostly just guys that were in the same friend circle and play video games together. We've all spread out at this point and most of them are the types of people that will just go radio silent for weeks at a time so it's tough to see each other in person. I have a few friends from college that I talk to pretty regularly but don't really see in person (most of them live in NYC or Boston) and a couple friends in DC. But the people I'm really close with are mostly family or people that are essentially adopted family.

I know a ton of Cowboys fans are pumped about this. He signed his big extension and then basically stopped trying. Was out of shape and bad.

Squid Game was excellent. One of the best debut seasons of a show I've seen in years.

My favorite moments of the game: Collinsworth questioning if Tom Brady is capable of winning against crowds after doing it for 22 years. Collinsworth hyping up Barmore on a replay where he got pushed backwards 5 yards before being one of 6 players to join in on a tackle. Michaels saying New England can take advantage of the two minute warning when there was 2:02 left and Tampa still had to kick their field goal.

I disagree but Miami does seem like the most likely landing spot to me. I know Schefter was saying a month or so ago that Philly was the front runner though.

One of my friends goes down to the stadium to tailgate pretty much every week but isn't a Bills fan and never actually goes to the games. He just likes the atmosphere.

We're at a luxury at this point where we can probably be good enough while he plays through this rut of his that we'll still be a playoff team. He has plenty of time to figure it out. We just have to hope that he does.

I think the pair that we had for the Bills game this week is my favorite in the business right now. The Manning's were pretty cool though; I've always enjoyed when ESPN gives us telecasts like that or the NCAA Championship game where it's just a room of the coaches breaking it down.

Very fun game. And that was the largest point spread of the week; we’re hopefully in for an entertaining Sunday.

It’s for sure intentional but as long as there’s a WR along the sideline there’s really nothing to call there. Kinda lame though.

The only thing that could have gone wrong is a mishandled snap. The risk there is extremely minimal and the benefit is sealing the game with a bow.

giving Jaylon Smith his contract was a major mistake too. I think Dallas can potentially be good this season but it’s amazing that’s on the table when they burned so much money on those two guys. Dak was very good but people are also forgetting he had like 4 dropped INTs before Carlton Davis finally got the one. A lot of very impressive throws in the face of pressure though and a very impressive return from his injuries.

Is it random? I assume the Miami job was available and Marcel wanted it and got the job rather than just being shipped out of Buffalo with no say in the matter.

I love the alternate helmet rule for what it opens up for other teams. For Buffalo though, I think we already nailed it with the white helmets. Any other colored helmet (including the reds that a lot of people pine for) would be a downgrade IMO.

I would say Buffalo has a slight edge at most spots outside of OLine where Buffalo has a significant edge. Miami does undoubtedly have a good roster though and if Tua plays the way he has in the preseason, they're probably a playoff team and a legitimate threat for the division if we slip up for some reason.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but there was a lot of buzz that Shaq might be released in Houston prior to this trade.

There's a lot of Patriots fans that want him fired at this point. On top of being a ***** announcer, he's also just a piece of ***** person.

I would guess the only reason it might be a question is because of the money. They're probably trying to figure out if a backup WR is worth ~$4 mil or if they can get by with cheaper options that they might feel decent about.

Pretty fascinating. The reports had been that he was coming off an awesome week of practices too. Still feels like he's bound to be a valuable fantasy guy in the very least but it'll be interesting. Their receiving corps is good enough that he could end up being a disappointment at least this year. He's in a weirdly tough position because Renfrow is almost certainly the slot guy there. Ruggs is the deep guy there and that's really Brown's thing. Edwards is probably the other wideout and he can be utilized differently than Brown generally is. It's obviously not the strongest receiving corps but the spots are still essentially spoken for.

It seems that he has a bigger issue with it this year because vaccinated players don't have to follow the same rules as the unvaccinated. If we're to assume he has a consistent criticism, that seems to be it; he's saying he isn't anti-vax, but he's being vocal about this because he thinks the unvaccinated players are being treated unfairly.

I'd be impressed if McBeane cut Beasley loose, but I definitely don't expect that to happen. If we were in the middle of a rebuild, maybe, but I think they know how close we are and want to just keep the ship together as long as possible to try to win it all.

You're talking about the TD to Benjamin at the end? That was an excellent rep. Stared down his WR on the left to try to open up the slant and then quickly flipped his eyes, hips, and got the throw out in a hurry and it was a perfect bullet pass. There's nothing to criticize there at all. Having said that, he's had probably 5 or 6 potential turnovers in two games and that's obviously on pretty limited reps. On the flipside of that though, he's made a lot of nice plays, been killed by drops, and Shanahan hasn't really let him show off his dual-threat abilities yet. I'd be surprised if Jimmy isn't the opening day starter and he might start all year if things go well for them, but I do think there's a reasonable argument to be made that Lance raises your ceiling and Shanahan should maybe just roll with him.
