What's your confidence level going into the game today?
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
My confidence level is 6/10. Pittsburgh is used to bad conditions. And how full will the stadium be to cheer on the good guys? We need the 12th man. I do believe there will be major changes IF the unthinkable happens and Pittsburgh wins. It would completely erase everything we accomplished from the Philly game onward. -
Throwing Snowballs and Refs threatening a penalty

Yeh I hate this because you could have Steelers fans throwing snowballs to get an advantage. -
Unfortunately a certain fan base benefited from this very scenario. 🤢

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.

If Allen can't throw in that type of weather, it plays right into the hands of the Steelers. They prefer to run the ball and play D. That could be a problem for our offense. -

Maybe the organization needs to bring in a QB coach or something. But we won't win a SB when the opponent has the luxury of getting two free possessions/scores in big games. The turnovers have got to stop or we are done. -

What a dissapointing game/season really. This is why Allen isn't in that Mahomes tier. He can't lead us when we need him most -
Had we not lost to the Jets, Broncos and Pats, there is a very good chance we are the one seed resting starters tomorrow.

I just preferred the two seeds getting a bye. There was nothing wrong with that strategy. This is a cash grab by the league. Nothing more. The two seed should get something out of this new format. Like choosing who they play in round one. -
It’s division title or bust (updates on non-Bills games)
Billsfanatic8989 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Essentially, the loser of tomorrow's game has very little chance of winning the SB. So it was always division or bust. We are the better team and healthier. No excuse to not win. If we win and than lose 40-0 or something the next week, I think a serious discussion should be had on his job status. Otherwise, I think he stays if we beat Miami. -

Then the Bills would be a legit 7th seed against Miami. But historically, these average teams like Pittsburgh in 2021. & Seattle last year, don't put up a fight. -

I agree. But it will be the too many men on the field game that kills us. Our own doing. We should have never lost to NE either. -

Steelers definitely don't deserve it. This new 7th seed has watered down the competition. The 7 seeds have not been close to winning in the postseason. -

So it's likely win and in. Lose or out for us tomorrow. If we can't beat an injury depleted Fins squad, we don't deserve it. -
You are correct. My bad on that. Only way a team does not get the ball second is if a defender intercepts it and fumbles it back to the offense. If the offense then scores a TD, game over.
-
I should rephrase. If it was obvious the defense committed three blatant offside penalties where they get free, and clear shots at the QB, receivers etc, they could utilize the palpable unfair act. It's rarely used. Example: Eagles are at the goalline and try the tush push. Before the snap, a defensive player runs straight to Hurts and knocks him back about five yards. Once that happens the second time, and it's clear the defense is doing it on purpose (doesn't have dumb players who just have a history off not saying onside), the ref could theoretically award a TD to the offense. Because the defense is clearly delaying the game and trying to intentionally injur the opposition. If a returner was thirty yards from a clear kickoff return TD, and a player from the opposition ran from the bench to tackle him short, the rule would be enforced. The returning team gets a TD.
-
Refs can call a TD after the second or third time I believe. But at least you get big hits in. Maybe one of their stars get hurt (no pun intended) and they think twice about it in future.
-
In the regular season, the team that wins the toss will win with a TD. In the postseason, barring a 2 pt conversion, team B gets a chance at scoring a TD.

Might be the best thing to ever happen to.this franchise. IF...an offensive HC is brought in. -
Time to Rest the Injured and Tank
Billsfanatic8989 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah...I'm not even sure about this anymore. Belichick has definitely been exposed without Brady. But he is more than capable of outcoaching McDermott.
