  1. I would've been 'acceptable', but the PED suspensions push it down to 'poor'.
  2. If Hoecht or Ogunjobi had principles they wouldn't have been taking PED's in the first place.
  3. It's weird. I would say that McD consistently has the defense playing above it's talent level in the regular season. HOWEVER, he consistently has the defense playing well below it's talent level in the playoffs. 5 straight playoff losses where the DEF looks like one of the worst in history.
  4. I'm pretty sure the PED suspension length is set in stone in the CBA. They could potentially challenge the failed drug test and if they win the entire suspension would be vacated. I don't think players ever win those challenges though.
  5. I can't imagine any CB would willingly choose to give up 10-15 yard cushions and get repeatedly picked on like that.
  6. I'd have this offseason in the C+ or B- range so far pending the draft. People on here act like Beane is a wizard for restructuring some contracts to open up cap space when literally every single team does it. The extensions were pretty decent $$ amounts, especially Josh's. The only multi year contracts to FA's feel like overpays (Palmer and Hoecht). The 1 year deals to Bosa and Ogunjobie are low risk if they can stay healthy maybe they have a big impact type deals. Guessing he padded those out with void years as well, but we'll see. Overall he's added some decent role players at decent prices. Nothing to write home about
  7. He started with 1k yards and 10 TDs which isn't insane. Then he upgrades to 12 TD's, pro bowl, OROY, and Superbowl. Keon, buddy, you wouldn't have been in the top 10 for OROY even without the injury and downslide. Maybe he could've made the pro-bowl as the 25th alternate if enough guys dropped out. He's a likeable guy with a lot of charisma, but I feel like there's a disconnect between what he's saying and what he showed us on the field. McD and Beane both felt justified in calling him out on it too. Hopefully he can take that criticism to heart and improve. I just don't know if he takes football seriously enough to do so.
  8. How about the Diggs and Kincaid drops in the last 2 playoff losses?
  9. Sure he 'missed' 4 games. Alternatively, you could say he was suspended for 4 games for choking out his pregnant girlfriend. The limited snap count should help increase his number of sacks since he's only going out there on obvious passing plays with fresh legs. Every single one of his sacks this year came on 3rd or 4th and long (IE obvious passing plays). You could replace him with a mediocre player and get similar results. 3rd & 10 at ARI 19 (5:08 - 4th) (Shotgun) K.Murray sacked at ARZ 14 for -5 yards (V.Miller). 4th & Goal at BUF 8 (2:43 - 3rd) (Shotgun) S.Thompson sacked at BUF 15 for -7 yards (V.Miller). 4th & Goal at BUF 17 (14:13 - 4th) (Shotgun) T.Lawrence sacked at BUF 27 for -10 yards (V.Miller). 3rd & 10 at KC 30 (9:56 - 2nd) (Shotgun) P.Mahomes sacked at KC 21 for -9 yards (V.Miller). 3rd & 6 at NYJ 19 (3:47 - 3rd) (Shotgun) A.Rodgers sacked at NYJ 11 for -8 yards (V.Miller). NYJ-M.Mitchell was injured during the play. 3rd & 13 at NE 27 (14:08 - 1st) (Shotgun) D.Maye sacked at NE 18 for -9 yards (V.Miller). He had 2 meaningful sacks all year (vs Cardinals and Chiefs). Sacks vs Dolphins, Jaguars, and Jets were all in garbage time. The sack vs Patriots might as well have been a pre-season game.
  10. He racked up a bunch of Jerry Hughes type pressures (getting close enough to the QB to be called a pressure, but not actually impacting the play) against bad O-lines. Believe he had 9 pressures in the 1st Patriots game.
  11. Frankly, I don't want him back at any price next season. He played on a limited snap count this season and was gifted all the best pass rushing downs with little production. I think even a replacement level player would be able to get better production than Von in that type of situation. Despite being well rested for the playoffs he completely disappeared when we needed him the most. The narrative that he took a pay cut last year to help the team out really needs to stop. He restructured his contract so that he'd be able to keep more cash with the 4 game suspension
  12. Not surprising, he was a pretty bad punter. 20th in gross average 27th in net average T-16th most punts inside the 20 T-11th most touchbacks Had a blocked punt returned for a TD that cost us a game. Oh, and that was an IMPROVEMENT on his 2023 season.
  13. Breaking it down into tiers as well 1) Allen 2) Kelly 3) Kemp 4) Ferguson 5) Tyrod 6) Flutie 7) Bledsoe 8 Fitz 9) Orton 10) Reich....I had a tough time putting a backup QB on the list, but who else is there?
  14. 88% of Bills players believe their head coach Sean McDermott is efficient with their time, a rank of 24 out of 32. The players feel that McDermott is moderately receptive to locker room feedback on the team’s needs, ranking him 27 of 32 head coaches in the league. I'm surprised that translated into such a low ranking. Most teams really love their coaches I guess
  15. Shakir making 15mm per year is the 23rd highest paid WR If Cook gets paid 15mm per year that would make him the 2nd highest paid RB Anyway, I think this is a really good deal for the Bills. Estimates had Shakir's next contract close to 20mm. He's a no-drama WR that just catches pretty much everything in his direction.
  16. Keon seems to have that 'golden retriever' type energy that Josh does. How could you watch that puffy coat video after we drafted him and not immediately love the guy? That being said, I have serious doubts about Keon's willingness to focus on the finer details and improve himself as a player. I never had that doubt with Josh. Keon had a wildly inconsistent season with plenty of good plays, but more bad plays, and even some 'unforgivable' plays. Getting hit in the back of the head while running a slant route in the HOU game. Not being ready for a pass on a slant route in the 2nd MIA game, deflecting the pass, and turning a should be TD into an INT. Multiple false start penalties. All of those showed an egregious lack of focus, even a rookie can NOT make mistakes like that. Hopefully McBeane giving Keon some tough love in the media will light a fire under him.
  17. If we're looking at our last 5 playoff losses, the Chiefs and Bengals offense have actually outperformed the Greatest Show on Turf.
  18. I'm guessing he meant the 2023 divisional where Josh missed a (barely) open Shakir in the end zone? Although the misfire happened because Dawkins got dominated by Jones on that play.
  19. I'm trying to imagine what an offense would look like if it struggled as badly as our defense has in the playoffs. 5 straight losses without scoring more than 14 points? The 13 second game would be like losing a game 13-10 with your defense scoring the only TD.
  20. When Mahomes said he wanted Worthy the Chiefs traded UP to get him. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41149450/chiefs-qb-patrick-mahomes-wr-xavier-worthy-touchdowns-week-1
  21. https://www.nfl.com/news/bills-gm-brandon-beane-josh-allen-pretty-pumped-we-drafted-wr-keon-coleman The level of input that Allen had looks appropriate to me. Clearly Beane, and the rest of the NFL, judged Worthy/Pearsall/Legette/Coleman/McConkey/Polk to be about the same talent level. Those 6 WRs were all picked between 28th and 37th overall. We even traded down two different times before selecting Coleman.
  22. Von is a no brainer. I'm going to go out on a limb and say we cut Bass and Martin as well. Not a whole lot of savings, but they are both pretty bad. Bass played well down the stretch, and was perfect in the playoffs. I just don't see how you can have confidence in the guy after how shaky he was in last years playoffs and most of this season. Martin flies under the radar but he's easily a bottom 10 punter. Bad gross and net averages. He has a very slow release that led to the blocked punt vs Rams that probably cost us that game.
  23. I'd like to see the Bills phase away from using Josh every time in short yardage situations. Those hits add up, especially in the playoffs when our O-line was getting caved in and Josh tried to muscle through it. The Chiefs haven't used Mahomes on a sneak in years (even since he was injured on a sneak). The Ravens tend to use direct snaps to Andrews on tush-push situations.
