Seeing that TD just made me want to throw up. In my head I have moved on but not in my stomach.

Yes. If the Bengals can't win, I want them to get blown out. Would of been a nice day in Buffalo for this game.

With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?
ColoradoBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
No argument there but trading another 1st and 4th and $20M per year for another WR are some of the ways I disagree with "the how". LOL. -

Even if there was a reason to want the Chiefs to win this game, I know I won't be able to do it.
-
Sure, but like any subject on this board you see a lot of over and under rating players. If they can lock up Knox anywhere around $8M per that puts him as a good deal IMO. Finding a Kelce or Kittle is more luck than skill and it seems to me trying to pursue that when gaging TEs is a fools errand. Knox has the potential to be the best TE the Bills ever had (not that it's a big accomplishment) but you have to have a TE that teams have to game plan on. Keep him and draft a guy from the 4th on down and hope he can perform too.
-
Well even though Knox is in his last year of his rookie contract I don't think Beane will sign him up for an extension unless Knox and his agent want to tie it up for a reasonable number. TEs usually go to the end of rookie contracts before signing. As to his worth look no further than 2 FAs (Dalton Schultz, Mike Gesicki) this year will get $10M-$12M. Guys like Uzomah, Njoku, Max Williams and Evan Engram will get $6M-$8M. So, make your plans accordingly. Personally, I don't think Knox is going anywhere. They will draft a TE around the 5th round this year.

I'd sure would like to see a poll of Buffalo Bills players on who they want to win.

No. Beane has not de-emphasized the skill positions on offense and he won't in the future. For that matter he hasn't de-emphasized the OL either. Beane has to constantly reevaluate every aspect of this team and attempt to balance it the best he can. He has had some pretty good misses on some draft picks and FA signings. Every team does. This causes gaps in long term planning. You don't have to look any farther than Cody Ford to see what I'm saying. He's got a number of holes to fill this season and will have a number of holes to fill next season and the one after that. For every hole he fills on defense there will be keyboard warriors condemning him for neglecting the offense and vice versa. All GMs and HCs go through this constantly and I think Beane and McDermott have been doing a pretty damn good job so far. Keep it up guys! -
Do you seriously think that McDermott and Beane haven't put in a lot of time on what to do if/when Daboll was to leave? McDermott is meticulous about things like this and has a short list. That being said a whole lot of other qualified NFL Offensive Assistant Coaches would give their right arm to come to Buffalo as the OC. Give OBD a few days to look at everything.

That is not really true. He has minimum salary and most is already roster bonus which can be restructured. BUT all his signing bonus and restructure bonus has to be paid. There is nothing "magical" about his contract. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/patrick-mahomes-21751/ The Bills can restructure Josh Allen just as much. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/josh-allen-25102/

The Germans had a great army in WW2, doesn't mean I have to like them.

Getting lucky and hitting on a 5th round Tyreek Hill like KC did would be nice.

I agree with you.

McDermott's first Offensive Coordinator hire back in 2017
ColoradoBills replied to Bag of Milk's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a rookie HC with Tyrod Taylor as QB on a team that hadn't made the playoffs in 17 years compared to this upcoming situation cannot be any farther apart. IMO. -
Rather excited to have a new OC
ColoradoBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would be my hope. While I do believe Dorsey could become a top OC his coaching experience revolves 100% around the Bills and Panthers. I guess he deserves the chance if he takes it but some new blood with new ideas may not be a bad thing. -

It will interesting for me to see how Josh Allen's maturity into a top franchise QB will be affected by the new OC. Will Josh get a little more input than he may of had with Daboll? Will the new OC have something new to teach Josh in reading defenses? How much could Josh influence the new OC with plays he liked working with Daboll? It seems to me an overall positive effect could be accomplished with the right hire but only time will tell. Josh now doubt will go through a number of OCs in his career with the Bills. -

Tearing it all down is engrained in a lot of fans minds. -

It is a challenge and we don't know what Beane will do. Last year KC went on a huge restructuring run. Maybe Beane will do some of that.
