There will be a Knox to Allen passing play in the future. @SlimShady'sSpaceForce

After the fact will have as many opinions as people giving them. Many people (myself at times) lose focus. The issue is Jon Gruden. After what came out he could not possibly be a Head Coach in the NFL and command the respect which is needed to be successful in that position from a group of players that are 2-3 generation younger than he is. For anyone who wanders with their opinions from that fact (on any side of the issue) misses the reality and makes it about other things.

Josh Allen: A winner above all other things
ColoradoBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
My term to describe Josh Allen is "Hard Working Competitor". What's amazing is that his biggest competition is with himself! -
What McBeane have done since 2017 nothing short of amazing.
ColoradoBills replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing that sometimes gets missed is how far both Beane and McDermott have come themselves. They were young and had a lot of things to learn too. They have made some fairly big mistakes but they always seem to never repeat them. I don't think either of them have reached their ceilings yet. -
Can't wait until the Bills offense finally starts clicking
ColoradoBills replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand what you saying and I can see your point. One thing though (for you and everyone else) please can we stop with the Pittsburgh thing. It was opening week and had a lot of "one off issues". Comparing the O from the last couple weeks to that game is illogical. One thing you might want to consider is what have the O game plans been? What is Daboll trying to add to the book? None of us fans know what the end game is on all of this. Last year the Bills worked on the air raid system and it was outstanding (most of the time). I got no problems with them working other systems into the plan during the season. It's all going to come down to the playoffs and they will need multiple schemes to beat those teams. IMO. -
Knox cap hit $1.1M Ertz cap hit $12.7M

Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.
ColoradoBills replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same here. I have seen some of clips people have posted. I laughed through the whole thing. This is what people are upset about? If no one gave him clicks he would be replaced by someone doing the exact same thing. It's all a show. -
He also has been on the field for 89% of special teams snaps. He ain't going anywhere.

Agree. If someone is headed to the IR for any real length of time they will bring him back if position wise it makes sense. If not the only move I see Beane making before the trade deadline is to maybe open up a spot to bring him back. Other than that I say the "song remains the same".

How could anyone forget that discussion.

Star is under contract through 2023 due to the Opt-out last year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/star-lotulelei-12294/

It has been mentioned. It's definitely something to watch for as the practice's start.

Probably mentioned already but having the extra day of rest before the game on Monday along with the bye week following has worked out pretty good. The bye comes real early this year but at least 2 of the tough big games will have been played.

I "liked" your post and you hit on a lot of current issue with KC. I want to add one more point. All offseason on this board a lot has been made about KC acquiring talent during FA and the Bills not keeping up the "arms race". All these current problems with KC are happening in spite of a ton of money spent (the vast amount pushed down the road). KC did a lot of restructuring of contracts to signed a bunch of 1 year contracts resulting in a slew of FAs next year. I don't know how much more they can keep doing this. Next year as it stands the top 7 players (Mahomes, Jones, Clark, Hill, Thuney, Hitchens and Kelce) eats up $150M+ in cap of a $208M team cap. They will have some tough decisions this offseason and I want to see what they do about it. Not saying Cap Hell or anything like that but things don't get easier they get tougher. They seem to have a huge "middle starter depth" issue. I'm interested so much in how they go forward with this to compare that with how Beane handles these things in the Bills near future. FWIW.

I tend to agree with this. There is also the option to put a snap count on him and use him situationally.

The Edmunds Report - Week 5, Bills v. Chefs, 10/10/21
ColoradoBills replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's so true and I have a hard time evaluating him. One thing I have done is think about the prime responsibility that the coaches want from him. It really seems it's a pass first run second decision he is making often which is a reverse of the norm. I do think he is hiding his intentions pre snap better than in the past. In the long view IF Edmunds gives up a couple of yards more on a handful of run plays that yardage is nothing compared to the yardage which can be made on a handful of pass plays IF Edmunds doesn't do his job adequately. It's very hard to see plays that COULD of went his direction from the opposing QBs options that Edmunds stymied. That is why I trust what our coaching staff sees in him way above my limited knowledge. The only thing left is how much higher can Edmunds lift his ceiling? Right now I am starting to feel that he is still learning a lot in this scheme and can get much better. -
Wow. Last years starting D was much weaker than what the Bills will field this year.
-
It has been brought up a few times so I went to see the Titans offensive personnel grouping frequency. They run a 3 or 3+ WR set 65% of the time so far this year so I expect the base to still be 4-2. Titans run 12 (2 TE sets) 21% of the time. That being said Taron Johnson will probably have to keep an eye on personnel changes and clear the field for Klein when needing to. At least that's how I would think it will go.

When did sports journalism get so bad
ColoradoBills replied to ProcessAccepted's topic in The Stadium Wall
Couldn't agree more and not just sports or even media in general. In every aspect of the human condition the entertainment/advertising mode outshines everything else. It takes work and a conscious effort to even keep it controlled in my (our) own lives.
