  1. Nope. We need a corner. Give me Kaiir Elam or Andrew Booth Jr at #25 and call it a day. The draft is so deep there that I think we can obtain a quality starter there no problem. I also think that Boogie and Groot are good enough to get it done.
  2. Feliciano and a 3rd for Toney, straight up!
  3. Bills fans have an amusing infatuation with UDFA/7th picks at WR. First it was Martin Nance and then that DaRick Rogers guy. How often does that work out? I’m not saying it never happens, but it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. I think Stevie Johnson is the only one that I can think of in recent memory that actually panned out. I think WR is a huge need for this team as well, the only reason I didn’t include it in our draft needs is because I think Buffalo needs to go here in FA. I’ll admit that there’s a few guys I’m salivating over in the draft, mainly that kid from USC and that kid from Kentucky, but WR typically has a steep learning curve and I think that there’s some really quality plug in play guys in FA that would provide us with great value financially and could provide us instantly with a high level of production. I think that Buffalo should ultimately go corner and OL in the draft, mainly because we can free up big money here by cutting Feliciano and by not overpaying an average corner like Levi Wallace big money. I would also argue that a solid LB is a necessity as well. I like the Tindall kid from Georgia, he’s probably a big upgrade over Edmunds, Klein and Matekavich and we would be paying him a lot less money and we could hopefully free up even more cap room here as well.
  4. To me, I think CB, OG, LB and NT are our biggest needs. Especially corner, give me a corner over a safety in a NY minute. Picture this, Levi Wallace is a FA, spotrac is projecting his yearly salary to be around $9M/yr. Do you want Buffalo to sink that much money into a player of that caliber? Look what you’re getting! Draft a CB RD1, preferably someone with the last name Elam or Booth Jr. OG is also a big need as well. I love me some Bates, but if we get a killer guard we can cut Feliciano and free up some cap room. And btw, not to skip over your previous post on Stevenson, but the guy doesn’t look fit for the NFL. I think he’ll be out of the league in 2-3 years. Hopefully he sticks around long enough to get a pension. Didn’t he fumble the ball in the playoffs?
  5. They were both incredible this year. Poyer and Hyde are probably the best safety tandem in the league. They feast on QBs like a school of piranhas out there, 10 INTs between the two of them, that’s very uncommon in the NFL to have that level of production.
  6. Because of his name he will be paid big money and frankly I don’t see him as a true play maker anymore. Knox is by far the better TE at this point, give that money to Knox.
  7. In no way will Stevenson ever amount to anything, he’s terrible. If Stevenson is starting for us in any way we are in trouble. Wan’Dale is a potentially elite slot WR.
  8. I agree that Beasley is towards the end of his career, but can he still move the chains? I would say so. Should he be a focal point in our offense? Probably not, but if he takes a pay cut and wants to stick around as a depth piece I’d love to have him. He’s probably good for 40-50 catches. Keep in mind that he’s a smart player and he has solid hands and is an excellent route runner and Allen knows him and trusts him and they have chemistry together. I’m pretty sure Allen wants him back and that counts for something. Anyways, I’m not a mind reader, but if I had to read between the lines and make a guess, I would think that Beane is posturing towards Beeze to take a pay cut if he wants to stay. I think what ultimately determines the outcome is the bottom line financially for both parties. If Beasley thinks he can get more money elsewhere, he’ll leave. If he thinks he can’t? He’ll stay. We all know he’s lost a step, but there is still value there at the right price. Also, if our #1, #2 or #3 WR goes down, he would be a nice safety net for Allen.
  9. My #1 guy is Kaiir Elam the CB from Florida. The guy’s incredible, there is a very real chance that he will be there at #25. Kid has Jalen Ramsey type of potential. He’s lengthy at 6’2, great ball skills and the kid is a monster in run defense too. I see him as a potential Pro Bowl player over time. Perfect guy to pair up with Tre.
  10. They see him as a bottom of the 2nd round kind of guy. I’m not sure if he will be there in RD3, but he’s an incredible talent and would give us a bonafide slot receiver behind Diggs and Davis. I would love to see Beasley mentor him for a year before his contract runs out.
  11. It’s bad character, no doubt. Did he cross an unforgivable line though? No. Punk kids get into fights because of pride, it’s much easier to just walk away. I will say this though, I do see an opportunity to get him on the cheap after this. He is an elite play maker and I believe in second chances. Kamara would supercharge that RB position and Singletary would be the perfect backup to him. But once again, shame on him for acting the way he did, but like most young men his age, he didn’t see the long play, but I think after getting suspended he’ll learn quickly. People mature and change over time.
  12. I would love it if the Bills went after Wan’Dale Robinson the WR from Kentucky. He is Lil Dirty + Beezer all wrapped up in one. He is that explosive slot receiver that we need on offense.
  13. (traded down) 41. Zion Johnson OG Boston College 57. Wan'Dale Robinson WR Kentucky 89. Channing Tindall LB Georgia 113. Alontae Taylor CB Tennessee 127. Josh Jobe CB Alabama 167. Tayland Humphrey DT Louisiana 185. Brock Hoffman OC Virginia Tech 204. Chigoziem Okonkwo TE Maryland 230. Tanner Conner WR Idaho State 245. Otito Ogbonnia DT UCLA Extra picks: 2023 SEA 2nd
  14. Yes, sir. I suppose I disagree with Beane then? I thought Lotulelei was solid, if not more than solid. Probably his best season as a Bill. I think the biggest problem that our D faces is the soft cookie cutter scheme that we’re running. The fact that McD hasn’t fired Frazier yet to me is a huge lack of accountability on his part. Until this Bills team gets more aggressive and starts attacking, our players will continue to languish as a result of it.
  15. I’m wondering if he’ll also act as our run game coordinator as well? Obviously Dorsey has tons of experience with QBs and the passing game, but I’m wondering if Kromer will help him come up with some run plays as well? He’s a nice guy for Dorsey to lean on though, that’s for sure.
  16. If anything extend him another year to lower his cap. He had a good year for us I thought.
  17. I agree so much about Kirk!
  18. Anyone else find it curious that most fans think that Allen has about 10 years left with his current playing style? But many gloss over the fact that Edmunds is in his 5th year at a position that is way more physical and violent than QB? I don’t care if Edmunds declared for the draft at 19, by the time he’s 30 he’ll be ready to hang them up.
  19. Dude, I’m bored out of my mind watching Netflix during a COVID lockdown. What the hell else am I going to do? 😆👍
  20. Well, Gunner, my dear sparring partner, allow me to dissect your post like a dead frog in a high school science class. Godwin 1. As far as Godwin is concerned, you do realize that he is coming off of a torn ACL, right? Not only did he tear his ACL, but he tore it towards the end of the season and to make matters worse, it typically takes at least a year for someone to recover from such an injury and that’s if they’re ever the same again at all. 2. Also, you pointed out that Godwin is looking at $18M/yr. While that may have been true before he got injured, that is not even remotely true for him after blowing out his knee. 3. Godwin was in a contract year before he got hurt, now that he is damaged goods, he will 100% absolutely and unequivocally will not receive a huge contract. He will be on a 1/yr prove it deal. I will admit that 31 teams will be fighting for his services, but he will not be going to a team with a QB carousel, he will be going to a team with an elite QB like Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc. As far as Edmunds is concerned: 1. We should easily be able to squeeze a 2nd out of him, no matter what scheme that team plays in. You will not find a better raw prospect than him in RD2. 2. The Raiders have had terrible luck at LB. They are extremely needy in terms of LB. Why not take a gamble here? As far as Mike Gesicki is concerned: 1. It is a very unlikely reality that he escapes Miami, but in the event that he did, he should 100% be on Buffalo’s radar. You bring up blocking, but you do realize that he is 6’6 265lbs right? Not only does he run like a gazelle, he has the raw talent and size to be a premier blocker as well. 2. It’s also worth pointing out that $11M/yr, is his projected contract value, which would absolutely be in line with what the Bills could afford. 3. Also, Gesicki has put up very solid, if not very good numbers with terrible QB play in Miami. With Allen as his QB, Gesicki may very well be our Kelce. As far as Leighton Vander-Esch or “LVE” is concerned. I knew not that he was a FA, but since is a FA, it makes my desire for us to sign him to be all the more enticing. Anyways, we’ve been back and forth over the years, I remember very vividly when you went after me for wanting Josh Allen way back when. Every time I told you that he was the better prospect than Josh Rosen you ripped me post after post, but since you are this boards honorary self proclaimed GM and draft guru, I tend to wonder about your accuracy at this point. I find it hilarious that you rip me time after time when you have the Bills taking a 1yr wonder with a torn ACL in the first round! HAHAHA! Anyways, thanks for critiquing me, it was good for a laugh! I don’t really take your posts seriously and I find it funny that so many do.
  21. This seems odd. I suppose if the Texans really wanted McCown on their staff, why not as an assistant? Or at the very most, why not as their QB coach? Very strange to me.
  22. Yes, but you knew what I meant by that.
  23. Thurman had very good speed, not elite speed. IIRC he played his entire career with a severely damaged ligament in his knee, which is the only reason why he fell to us in the second round. Lord knows how good he would have been if that knee was 100% healthy. I think what made Thurman great was his sense of balance. He was able to absorb huge hits while being able to recover his footing without falling over. Very low center of gravity and the man was an absolute nightmare as a receiver. Had he not played RB, I feel strongly that he could of played WR. Even in today’s NFL, Thurman would very likely be one of the top 2-3 receiving RBs in the league right up there with McCaffery and Kamara.
  24. My Bills offseason: Trades • Bills trade Tremaine Edmunds to the Las Vegas Raiders for pick #53 in the 2022 draft and a 2023 4th. • Bills trade their 2022 4th to the Dallas Cowboys for LB Leighton Vander Esch and then they sign him to a 3yr $30M deal. Splash signings • Buffalo signs TE Mike Gesicki formerly of the Miami Dolphins to a 4yr $45M deal to compete with Dawson Knox. This gives Buffalo a very well rounded TE room. Gesicki has been very good for the Dolphins and he may get tagged, but I think with Allen as his QB, Gesicki would quickly go from very good territory to ELITE territory. And this doesn’t mean that I would not re-sign Dawson Knox as well. The NFL is quickly going back to a power run league and having two very good TEs is of a huge benefit for the Bills going forward.. Low risk, high reward signings • Bills sign FA WR Chris Godwin formerly of the Tampa Bay Bucs to a 1yr $8M prove it deal. He’s coming off a torn ACL and Brady has retired. He would be salivating over a chance to play with Josh Allen so he can cash in next year. Bills may be able to sign him to a long term deal at that point and maybe at a cut price. • Diggs/Godwin/Davis/Gesicki/Knox gives Buffalo the firepower they need to outdo Kansas City. Draft • It seems that this draft is extremely deep at CB. I think that Buffalo needs to go here twice. RD1 and ideally RD3 as well. Maybe even use one of our RD2 picks to trade down for extra picks to do so. • Even with the addition of LVE, Buffalo could use more depth here. Someone who could turn into a potential starter while also thriving on STs in the process. Would allow us to cut some of our older more expensive veterans. (Klein and Matekavich) • Drafting an interior OL is not a bad idea as well. We can free up some cap space by dumping Feliciano and rolling with Bates going into 2022. Would take Boettger back on a cut price. • RB is obviously a need as well. I LOVE Singletary, but we need a solid starter to rotate in with him. Moss could be that guy, but more competition is needed here. Positions of need going into the draft: •CB •NT •LB •IOL •CB •RB Keep in mind that we would have two RD2 picks in my offseason, but we would not have a 4th. Could also trade down to accumulate more draft picks.
  25. Would you guys have any interest in the Cowboys Leighton Vander Esch? Maybe send them a 4th round pick and sign him to a modest 3yr $24M deal or something in that neighborhood? Maybe move Edmunds for two 2nd round picks? Anyways, he is a guy a liked a lot more than Edmunds coming out. We get a solid starter at half the price. Cuts our salary cap down and we get multiple draft picks in the process. Give me LVE all day over Edmunds. Less money, more production, more draft picks.
