  1. They played a run first team that has a great defense. See the Titans game from last year or the Patriots game from last year. Not that we can't win those games but the frequency in which we allow a loss/get beat in those games is frightening.
  2. Yes. Absolutely yes. Please tell him to stop throwing picks.
  3. Not sitting here watching the replay but it looked like Sauce kept one hand tied up and it him in the forearm of the other arm. Unless he got that hand free it would have been basically a one handed catch.
  4. Look at Otis Anderson's average per carry from his SB season and win against us. It's horrendous but 3.2 per carry will keep the chains moving. Then in the fourth our D totally came off the rails.
  5. Our starting rb needs to carry the ball more than 6 to 8 times a game. Not because we are running so well or because we can't pass but because it keeps defenses honest and makes us less predictable. Time and time again we've started thowing too much and we get away with it some games and against better defenses we don't. Just like not stopping the run. We get up on teams not taking the run seriously isn't a big deal but when the game stays close and they've been pounding the ball all game we fade pretty hard. The loss is less frustrating than the fact that these are repeat problems that our coaching staff should see coming from a mile away. We corrected things well last season hopefully we'll do the same this year.
  6. The number of olé blocks happening at the right tackle position is frightening.
  7. Did anyone anywhere think that the Jets were going to throw the ball all over the field? Look at all their wins. They run the ball and play defense. How did we not come better prepared to stop the run?
  8. Wish we would get a real focus on running the ball. Our line is trash at pass blocking too often. Quesenberry had the guy square in front of him and didn't get any punch and they guy ran right by him.
  9. Pats punched us in the face last year in a game where we knew they were going to do nothing but run. Seems like every year we need to find a way to stop other teams from running the ball down our throats. We literally are the Peyton Manning led Colts. Go up early and stop the pass or get but up in the trenches and get out muscled. We'll figure it out but it is a repeating problem that should have been dealt with by now.
  10. Moved away from upstate NY when I was a kid in the early 90s but was already a Bill's fan. Saw some games against the Jets when I lived near NY City when I worked for Ralph Lauren but went to my first game in Buffalo last year. If you are staying in Buffalo paying the 50 bucks for a Rally bus is a great deal. They pick you up down town and drive you to and from the game and have storage under the bus if you want to tailgate. You can leave your stuff with the bus drink all game and they'll drive you back to the city afterwards. I tried to dress warm enough for the game and my daughter talked me into buying a Bills blanket on the way in and I'm glad I did. We'll see how warm that blanket keeps me when I bring it to Foxborough December 1st. https://rally.co/buffalo-bills/
  11. Patriots defense makes their QB's look better because they keep it close enough the QB's can play safe. We hang a 30 burger on them and see how good he looks when he has to throw 50 times into a defense that knows he's throwing. I just bought tickets for the Thurs. night game in Foxborough and I'm hoping the stadium is half empty by the 3rd quarter because we are killing them.
  12. Imagine that ....... you give the guy carries and he produces. I actually liked the balance in this game. Spags is a river boat gambler and we got him several times. I bet those runs in the first half didn't hurt.
  13. The single biggest difference in our running game would appear to be Diggs. The year he showed up we started throwing over 600 times a year and started running it closer to 400 times a year which is about 100 less carries and 100 more passes. That said we also are scoring a lot more points so it's hard to argue with it. I just would like see a commitment to running and closing out games to keep our WR's and QB healthy and keep carrying the ball enough that we don't become 100 percent predictable.
  14. When was the last time any Bill's back had 18 plus carries in a game? People list off production of backs around the league but they are all getting enough carries to actually have production. There are plenty of statistics to say if our backs actually got more carries they would have good production but we don't hand the ball off. Even when we are crushing teams we don't run the ball. So what would any of these other backs be putting up for numbers here when they are only carrying the ball 8 to 10 times a game?
  15. What makes him just a slot? He's listed as roughly the same size as Diggs and ran a faster 40. Depth chart on ESPN (for what it's worth) has him listed behind Davis. He has the speed, size, and route running skills to play outside just as well as inside.
  16. Youtube blocked it but I found it ................. now I remember why it was special. Allen got buried and still delivered the ball 60 something yards through the air.
  17. Trying to find a rookie heave to Foster for a long TD but I'm not sure it's a better throw it's just a throw that comes to mind.
  18. The beauty of Shakir is that he is (on paper) roughly the same size as Diggs and possibly faster so he can play inside or outside and that means any place we have an injury he can fill in. That means even as a rookie he can get on the field and gain more experience which is a great oppurtunity for him and good for us.
  19. He's lost the ball (an actual turnover) 3 times in 4 years. Over 650 touches (rushing and receiving) and he's only lost the ball 3 times. This is almost as good as your shortened vid of the Ingram strip sack where you fail to show DE blowing by the tackle and blame Singletary for the sack.
  20. So weird considering how well he's done everywhere else he's been ..............
  21. In 2021 only Allen, Davis, Diggs, McKenzie and (you guessed it) Singletary made NextGen stats faastest ballcarrier of the week. After McKenzie, Singletary had the fastest carry by a Buffalo player in 2021. Just saying. I would also add that at least two different episodes of "Angry Runs" last year would argue that Motor shouldn't be underestimated as far as running over and through people. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/top-plays/fastest-ball-carriers/2021/REG/2
  22. Shakir looked pretty shaky the first couple times he got in a game but this week much better. Cook will come around.
  23. Somebody bring in Duke Williams.
  24. We are currently starting Diggs and Davis (even if Davis is dinged he's playing) with Crowder, McKenzie, and Shakir all behind them. I don't think WR is a concern yet.
