We have always been bad at screen passes. Why didn't they just keep with the short passing game.

He needs to hit his drop and throw the damn ball. If no one is open just run. He needed to back shoulder the outside guy.

Again the Bengals are covering everything deep. It's not Davis. Josh needs to get it out to Shakir or Kincaid or Cooks and take the 5 or 6 yard gain. He can't keep holding the ball and looking 15 yards down the field and take sacks.

I think that moon shot for the intentional grounding might have been fired over Davis. Not sure that one counts as a target.

If he's running it's because he just refuses to throw the damn ball. Everytime he targets Kincaid or Shakiir we move right down the field. Then he starts holding the ball and looking down field and the rush gets there and he starts throwing picks. He needs to just take what they're giving us and put some drives together. He can make take some deep shots when we've scored some points and they have to try to stop the short stuff.

He's not looking at anyone short. Everytime he targets Kincaid or Shakir we move the ball then he starts throwing 15 to 20 down the field and the Bengals are waiting for it. Shorts stuff is there Josh just refuses to take it.

So what we have learned is that Josh is incapable of putting together more than one drive of quick passes and that the refs are going to throw 8 to 10 flags per half and you have to just hope a few go your way.

refs are killing the game in 2023.

well at least Josh is finally looking at getting the ball out ................. try a few deep shots later when the defense is used to not getting there because you've already thrown it.

He could (and should) throw to Kincaid all day.

Amazing how hard it is to cover a guy with no one and keep them from scoring.

That was dumb no other way to explain it.

I get it on 3rd and 10 we want to keep them in front of us but there's no rule that we have to give up 8 o 9 on every 3rd and 10. They're going to start converting 4th downs on us left and right.

Why is the ball taking so long to get out of his hands? We only needed 2 yards.

Does ANY member of our offensive coaching staff understand you have to get the ball out and get it out quickly or is it just Allen who doesn't get it?

Because we can only run go routes and jet sweeps with Harty ............ it's in his contract I think.

I think he had 3 targets and 2 catches on the first drive. Guess what drive we scored the TD on?

Kincaid and Shakir should be carving these guys up but Allen starts every read 10 yards down the field and only goes deeper after that. Worse yet, the first drive proves he understands taking the easy stuff he just can't do it unless it's scripted or something.

Now if we get the damn ball back can someone tell Dorsey and Allen to make the quick throws and take the easy stuff long enough to get a drive going.
