  1. James also dropped a sure first down and possible TD before that last pass. He could have easily thrown three TD's.
  2. Beathard has thrown 8TD's in 5 games. We've thrown 3 in in 8 games. We'd be doing well to have Beathard like production. I actually thought Beathard looked pretty damn good against the Packers.
  3. Check that ............. he's thrown 2 TD's in a half. We've thrown 3 TD's all season.
  4. He just threw an out and it didn't get taken back the other way for a TD.
  5. In less than 1 qtr Mullins is 2 TD's away from producing as many TD's as our team in 8 games.
  6. My argument for why Daboll should be able to score some points. Beathard and now Mullins.
  7. To be fair Gailey also understood when to use which back. If you look at starts, Freddie started as many games as Spiller and was much better between the tackles. Spiller used to drive me nuts dancing around also. In his better years he seemed more decisive and other years he was guilty of too many negative plays. Daboll would be wise to learn when to use Ivory a little more and in my opinion it would actually help to get McCoy going. See also Karlos Williams, and Gillislee. McCoy has always benefited from someone who can take a few carries and soften them up.
  8. My problem with this is that Daboll is not only in charge of playcalling but who's on the field and also making sure they know the playbook. When you know they are keying on the run and you need runs that pick up positive yards Daboll needs to sit Shady and put Ivory in there. When they are constantly calling time outs because people don't know where to line up some blame has to fall on him. All of that said I thought he has called a number of decent games. Execution is my largest problem with the offense and to this point in the season I'm not jumping on the "fire him" wagon but there does need to be visible improvement over the course of the season. Even with the players he's fielding. I've come away from the last couple of games thinking that McCoy is really handcuffing him. If we start games off trying to establish the run and McCoy starts off each series with negative runs we fall flat on our faces. If we bang out 3 and 4 yard runs a few times and then work Shady in on some screen passes or wheel routes we could have them loosened up by the second half and then McCoy might hit a home run or two. Used to argue the same thing with Freddie and Spiller. Jackson should have been starting long before he did.
  9. You are forgetting Watkins and I know why. So do you. Hogan was never a starter here and when he was he averaged more catches and yards per start here. Woods is obviously better in LA but not that much better. This might be his best year to date. Goodwin might be the strongest and only decent case of someone going somewhere else and being remarkably better. That said it's the first time he stayed healthy, didn't spend all his time trying to make the olympics, and was a full time starter. In his first 3 seasons he played in less than half the games.
  10. It would be nice if a capable WR came here and got healthy instead of coming here and being injured. Hopefully he has worked out all his injury bugs with the last two teams and can get on the field for us. If he's healthy he could be a great upgrade.
  11. Peterman and Barkley can both sit around and share stories about throwing 5 picks in a game.
  12. So essentially McCoy, convicted of nothing I get it, can have a different lawsuit every season and he can't be traded but bringing in Kaepernick would be too much? I'm not dismissing what each of you are saying. You are all right. I'm not entirely sure the organization really wants to win that badly. They certainly wouldn't want to start winning with Kaepernick. Not that he could make us winners anyways. All that said I think DA should offer at least some kind of help tutoring Allen but I'm still afraid Allen is going to need more than what he's getting if he's going to be the next breakout Mahommes.
  13. It would appear that like Peterman he throws a VERY catchable ball. Someone else said it and I think it's hard to argue, why wouldn't you sign Kaepernick? He's 100 times better than anyone we are currently trotting out there. Probably could actually offer a lot more knowledge than Barkley in terms of helping Allen. Doesn't hurt that he's mobile either.
  14. There was every reason to think Zay Jones could be a legit reciever in this league when he came out of college. The three guys I thought would be great were Kupp, Reynolds, and Jones. They all shined in the Senior Bowl showing great ability and the Senior Bowl is a nice show case for what they can do outside their own offenses. That said Zay seemingly couldn't catch a cold his first season. If felt like he dropped as many as he caught. If he has finally gotten comfortable in the NFL and can hang on to more passes than he drops growing into the offense with Allen would be an excellent chance for him to become a great receiver. All that said 1 game does not fix everything. It's a step in the right direction. Now he just needs to do that on a week to week basis.
  15. What kind of bets are people taking? How many picks or which quarter does he throw his first pick in? Can he really make it a half without throwing an interception?
  16. There you go ......... all you guys with a hard on for 300 yard games. Personally I liked it when we ran the ball down everyones throats to the tune of 160ypg and 25ppg but if you passing yards is your thing we just hit 300.
  17. In this offense Ivory is our best runner hands down. McCoy is still a great change up. 3rd downs and screens roll Shady out there. If you want to run on 1st and 2nd down and get positive yards then they need to start Ivory.
