You may be right, but let's give it some time. There is a lot of offseason to go. I'll make my judgment in August
-
FIFY. And I still see the Bills as favorites in the East this year because quite frankly, our division could be pretty bad. I think 10 wins might take it this year. The Jets are the only threat (last year it was Miami), and it is highly unlikely they will stay healthy.

Interesting calling people homers when Diggs is basically in your user name. Maybe it is a negative for this year (maybe), but it is undoubtedly a positive for the future. You can't sit here and say that having Diggs on that contract for 4 more years would be a good thing. Did Beane screw up in giving that extension? Yes, and now he's taking his medicine.

I can potentially get on board with this. No matter what, I won't quite know how to feel until the summer
-
We were at a 27-28 million hit before the trade. Now it's 31 million. So only a few million additional cap hit was added. It's just all dead now
-
If all we're eating is an additional 4 million cap hit this year to get free next year, I'm not horribly upset by this. Need to see what comes next
-
They don't scare me in the least. If they had a better coaching staff perhaps, but that team is a clown show. But hey, it seems they are shaping up as the offseason champions again
-
Don't they still have Saleh, Hackett, a declining 40 year old qb coming off an Achilles injury, and an Oline that will be on IR by week 6?

What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
buffblue replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't want Russell Wilson on my roster in any way, no matter how cheap. The Fields deal similarly has little financial or compensation risk but at least he has some upside. This x 1000 percent -
We're doomed
-
Best of luck to him. He really killed us a couple of times as a Patriot

They were discussing the PSL issue on WGR this morning and (for what it's worth) said that the absolute highest price (club or otherwise) for the Vikings was 9k. That was back in 2018 with a building that is probably going to be considered far superior to our new digs. I know building costs are insane now but that was a mere 6 years ago when the Vikings palace checked in at 1.1 billion. Still a bit shocking that ANY seats could be in the 20-50k range for a stadium in Buffalo that is not exactly going to be the Taj Mahal.

As the old saying goes, if you're not getting better you're getting worse. Still plenty of offseason remaining however

Bills Titans 1999 playoff game on air today 1230
buffblue replied to davefan66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a chance as he flat out stunk all year. Hell even in the 1998 WC game against Miami (the year he was halfway decent) Flutie puked all over himself with 3 terrible turnovers -
Yep. I was certain our DL would eat against a decimated line and Easton Stick. No one did anything until the Oliver sack to end the game
-
I'd be lying if I said I felt great about the safety position at this juncture, but McD has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to coaching up a secondary. It's also why I don't agree with some prognosticators saying we need to draft a corner just because of cutting Tre. We still have some solid pieces in place to field a good pass defense.

I hope not. It would be ridiculous if they keep Haack purely for Bass because he stinks as a punter compared to Martin. Bass o matic just needs to get it together.

Jeudy Gets New Contract Extension - 3 Years $58M From Cleveland
buffblue replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a terrible deal to give to such an undeserving player. Cleveland is a joke. I would be breaking stuff if the Bills gave out this contract -
I'm sure he will bring his lunch pail and hard hat
-
He was never good. One of the most overrated players in recent memory

Bills sign Taron Johnson to 3-year $31 million extension
buffblue replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moving Johnson to safety makes about as much sense as hiring Matt Patricia as your offensive coordinator. Seriously? He's an all pro slot corner lol -
Blackmon is the ideal type of player to sign in free agency. Should be mid range cost but he is still young and ascending. This would be an excellent move if it came to fruition.
-
Well, he is getting paid 38 million to not be a part of his former team so he should keep the violin stashed
-
After seeing Wilson the last few years, why is acquiring him potentially a sage move but trading pennies for Fields a joke? This isn't the Russell Wilson of 2011-2020 for Seattle. Make it make sense
