We were never drafting him. We basically have him in Marquez Stevenson. I still would like a WR, though.

Well...some teams really need volume because their rosters are so thin. Carolina might be one to look at since they don't have much in this draft.

The third round had me scratching my head, too, but just because the pundits valued him in the 3rd round doesn't necessarily make it "gospel." The Bills value players differently, I think because they really value the intangibles. Obviously, there wasn't someone on their board that they valued more. Beane said the run on WRs didn't play a part. They have players currently on the team in depth positions that they like. Ultimately, if players work out, it doesn't matter where they are drafted. I do understand you position, though.

I'm not worried about safety or corner. We've got depth their already. Beane said in his presser last night that at oline he still has faith in Cody Ford. He's done a lot in the off season and knows it's a contract year. He said it's not a must to draft a punter but he knows some will be taken. I'd like to see another WR, TE, o line and punter.

Beane said as much. I expect them to try and get back in the 4th round with those 6 rounders.

When you look at our current roster, you ask yourself, who you would sit? So at LB, you are looking at a backup. Plus I have so much faith in our coaching and training staff to develop these players. Beane said that they look for football "traits" in these players. You can't coach those. They want instinctive football players on defense and Bernard fits that. So does Elam.

When you think about it, outside of Elam and Cook thus far, with our roster, a lot of these guys are going to be backups. We've built up depth the last two years. Bernard largely replaces what we lost in Klein. We gave up the salary albeit also the experience, but they like the instincts of Bernard.

Well...they had a 3rd round grade on him. We're not scouts, so I'll trust Beane and Co.

They like the guys on the team, Damar Hamlin, Jacquon Johnson and Josh Thomas.

They were talking about it today with Greg Cosell....who loves Cook and thought he was the best fit for the Bills! They thought he had a 3rd round value, but didn't think he'd make it to pick 89.

Tasker called it this afternoon. He called Elam yesterday. He's two for two and with last year, 3 for 3. He called Rousseau.

I don't think that's correct.

Everyone was upset we traded up in the 1st to get our guy. Now they're upset we're trading back because we have a number of guys that can suffice.
