Beane can't figure out where anyone got that idea. Nothing ever came from the Bills intimating that. He believed everyone knew that they were taking CB. That's why he traded up to insure he got Elam.

You misread it. The Broncos were willing to give up more than the Browns. Beane thought he'd curry good favor with Dorsey by letting them have Tyrod for less. Dorsey turned out to be a fink on draft day. I'm sure that's a lesson learned by Beane. Take the bird in the hand.

Very good read. I'm hoping Moss rebounds and we keep him. Taiwan Jones has been good on special teams, but I'd like one of these young guys we picked up replace him.

I'd like one of these later picks to unseat Taiwan Jones as the gunner. Jones has been good, but he offers no value other than special teams.

Beane was on One Bills Live today. He said had the Bills kept pick 130, Shakir would have been their choice in that slot. He also said the run on WR's had no bearing on them trading back in the 2nd. At 57, they had 5 guys they liked and would have picked. They got the offer to trade back to 60, knowing they could get one of the 5. At 60, those 5 guys were still available, so they traded back to 63. At 63, one of those 5 guys was taken. They liked Cook and decided to select him at 63 and not press their luck.

Beane was on One Bills Live this morning and said that had they still had pick 130, they would have picked Shakir. So they ended up getting the guys they wanted anyway. He also said that Shakir's drops were concentration issues which can be corrected..

Beane is on One Bills Live and when Tasker asked him about regrets in the draft, Beane said that on the decision to trade up in the 1st, he said that teams knew the Bills were looking at corner and knowing that, he thought teams may try to jump the Bills to get one. If they had and the Bills didn't get their guy, he would have regretted that. Said he slept better having Elam in hand, even though watching the 4th round, he was wishing he had the pick back. However, he said that had he stayed with pick 130, that is where he would have picked Shakir. So...they got the guy they wanted anyway, 18 picks later.
