  1. All the talking heads that picked SF said they'd stop the Eagles running game.
  2. I hear you. This movie is obviously meant to be a comedy, and outside of Lily Tomlin, you think of the other actresses more for their dramatic roles. Sally Field started in sitcoms (Gidget and The Flying Nun) at the beginning of her career. Rita Moreno is remembered most for her musicals but has starred in the revival of the sitcom, One Day at a Time. As to Jane Fonda, I've seen her in a number of movie comedies, and she's quite good. Hopefully the script is worthy of their talents and Brady's role is brief.
  3. I don't think this film reduces them since the story is based in reality. Perhaps stud was the wrong choice of word. Aged male actors however get cast as romantic leads to much younger leading ladies.
  4. Dang. Word was Frank Reich wanted him in Carolina. I was hoping that is where he would go.
  5. And I salute these actresses for it. Male actors are allowed to age and still remain studs and get starring roles. Not for female actors. They are reduced to character roles or supporting roles as the mother, the matron, the grandmother, etc. All of them are fine actresses as well, who have given us some memorable performances.
  6. Seriously, this movie will not be around that long. The demographic is not wide enough to support broad appeal (unless it's old broads like me). People are not going to the movies as much as it is. Now if "it" refers to Brady...I whole heartedly agree.
  7. As a member of that target audience, I would agree. 😅
  8. I do not see them letting him go. He'd be too hard to replace. With his age, they can give him a long contract and spread out the cap hit.
  9. Thank you so much for this! I consider myself knowledgeable but not about X's and O's. So I often don't know whether to attribute an issue to players or the scheme. There are so many opinions on this board...but those as knowledgeable as yours are rare. I appreciate the instruction.
  10. I can agree with this and that is what both McD and Beane said in their pressers. Do you think coaching changes are warranted?
  11. Thank you for this explanation. You are obviously very knowledgable about the X's and O's. So based on this, what do you see as the root cause of our defensive struggles last Sunday? I'm really interested in getting an educated, objective opinion.
  12. Great minds! Stevie Wonder said the same thing.
  13. Exactly! The entire team sucked...which does include the coaches. McD said as much in his presser, as did Beane. We as fans think we have the answers. We definitely need better players. Some on defense we'll get back as they come back from injury. I can't help but think that with a healthy Hyde and Poyer, even without Von, we would have been better on Sunday, but I'm using just what I've seen in the past. Offensively we are lacking and need to bring in new blood. The coaching needs to be better though on both sides of the ball to better utilize the players brought in.
  14. Didn't Denver think the same thing?
  15. Von Miller loves the guy and raved about him in the end of season presser.
  16. Thank you for this. I'm familiar with Parker Washington being a Penn State fan. I just saw, I think a CBS sports mock that has the Bills taking O'Cyrus Torrence, G from Florida. They mentioned him on that same broadcast in conjunction with the Senior Bowl. Is the better depth at interior OLine or WR in this draft?
  17. I was listening to the NFL on Sirius XM briefly this evening and they mentioned that this is not a great draft for WR. Can any of our resident draft experts speak to the depth and strength positions in this draft?
  18. Remember, though, after that incident we would have been down half of our secondary, losing Damar and Taron who went out with a head injury earlier. So...not sure what we could have adjusted or even what we could have learned.
  19. I couldn't agree with this first part more. That game...and that incident...ended the Bills season. Their focus was gone. It was no longer on football. Interestingly, how many of us fans in those moments during that Monday night game said and felt the same thing? Suddenly, who cared about football. Please let Damar be okay is what we all collectively thought and prayed. The rest of the season be damned. That's why I'm bummed by all this vitriol. We actually got what we said we wanted at the time. Well...that was it for the season. We got by the Pats on emotion. Then nearly lost to the Dolphins because they came into the game with their own energy and emotion. I didn't expect the Bills to get past the Bengals. They came in with an edge. The Bills had nothing. They were overmatched on every level. Hopefully, it leads to the necessary changes in this off-season. If it doesn't, I will likely share in some of that vitriol. For now...I'm good. But go NFC!
  20. There was only one game this year when I appreciated Frazier. That was the KC game. The defense he dialed up on the last play that resulted in Mahomes getting picked off by Taron was masterful. Having said that, I think too many times he coaches scared. There was not a DB within 10 yards of the Bengal receivers in this last game. I'm so done with his passive defenses.
  21. If we move on from Frazier, Wilks is who I would expect. Word is Panthers really want an offensive minded HC.
