  1. I would love it if the draft fell this way, but like you, I don't believe it's realistic.
  2. Yes. It was a 3.8 earthquake. Channel 2 news is talking about it.
  3. Jeremiah just said that the entire starting oline for the American Team could be day one starters in the NFL. I believe Schmitz was at center and Torrence was at LG.
  4. That's just it. They don't know how to fix it? The only thing they know how to do is point fingers, eliminate those who they see at fault, and replace them with someone else. They guarantee that whoever is brought in will lead us to the SB in no time flat. However, they cannot tell you who these guaranteed winners are. Change for change-sake isn't always the wise move. You may end up better, but you could just as easily end up much worse.
  5. My mock based on who was available at each pick in the draft. Thoughts on these selections?
  6. I don't mind them drafting defensive linemen, but only AFTER we draft WR and OL. At least the first 3 picks need to be OL and WR.
  7. Thank you for this. I just did a mock draft at Profootball Network and I did take these players from your list.
  8. The Senior Bowl is being played today and some of us be watching on the NFL Network. Again, I ask the forum draft enthusiasts who should we Bills fans be looking at as potential draft picks? Are there any that would be targets in the first round that might fall to the Bills? I'm certainly hoping that this game is better than the East West Shrine Bowl. QB play was lacking with more than a few INTs. It was all field goals.
  9. Not necessarily. Edmunds being so young would allow them to work a longer contract to spread out the cap hit. They could make it work if they wanted to.
  10. Just what I thought. Everyone can criticize and tear down, but no one has any real solutions. Now we wait to see what the Bills decide. They will have a plan. We may not agree with it...but they will have a plan.
  11. That's why I don't want to create any more holes on the defense that we will have to spend draft picks on. I'd like us to use this draft for offensive players, particularly OL and WR. If you can fill your roster with those positions through the draft, then you've got 4 to 5 years of "cheap labor" in key positions, rather than having to bring in aging Vets who are past their prime on expensive contracts just because that's what those positions cost in the veteran market.
  12. I definitely agree we need help in those areas. I think we don't create any more holes on defense so we can use the draft for offensive players and get the WR and OL help that we need, and not pay through the nose to bring veterans in at a higher cost. We are not going to be able to afford high priced veterans. Beane already said that. We would be talking about the kind of players we had on the OL this year. Less than stellar wouldn't you say? Likely the same at WR.
  13. I think I do. I also think that with his age, the Bills could resign him with a longer contract to spread out the cap hit. They can create cap space by reworking a few contracts, turning base salary into bonus, etc. Having said that, if the Bills can't make it work, then so be it. And I appreciate your honesty.
  14. Okay. Let him walk. Who do you replace him with that is guaranteed to be a game changer? I'm all for improving any position on the Bills. Who's that game changer that improves the position?
  15. The Luke Kuechleys of the NFL are few and far between. Edmunds is a game changer when he's not on the field. This defense suffers when he's out with injury, especially porous in the middle of the field in the passing game.
  16. I disagree, but the price has to be reasonable. Spotrac has it estimated at $11M per year. The average for the position is $12M
  17. I disagree. You know when Edmunds makes a difference? When he's injured and not on the field. Suddenly, the middle of our defense is wide open...especially to the pass.
  18. For anyone watching the game, does anyone stand out to you thus far? The defenses seem to be more notable thus far.
  19. That's why I think they can make the financials work with a longer deal given his youth. That will also allow the Bills to focus on WR and OL early in the draft. Getting WR and OL help through the draft will definitely assist with cap management.
  20. The only thing I really disagree with is Edmunds. I think he makes a big difference in limiting passing to the middle of the Bills defense. He played his way to a new contract and with his youth could be signed to a longer term deal that would spread the cap out over a longer period. Definitely agree that Oliver and Gabe need to prove themselves this year.
  21. Thank you for this. You know, I just wanted to start a thread where we could discuss something positive, but the negativity on this board is so rampant, it's just impossible. I understand that folks are frustrated that we didn't get past the divisional round again. There were all kinds of reasons. We didn't have the best draft. We can't change that, and there is no guarantee that if we made all the suggested changes on this board, it would mean we get to the promised land any sooner, if at all. So...we have the draft to look forward to. Can we have a discussion on who might the Bills target in this draft that are playing in this game?
  22. I watched one yesterday, but it was kind of disjointed with coach interviews, so I didn't get much. The Senior Bowl was the first time I really watched Josh Allen, though, and then went back to watch more clips of his time at Wyoming. I was excited when we drafted him!
