  1. Please tell me you didn't draft any Bills players.
  2. That's why they pay him the big bucks!
  3. In addition to the Red Zone, I also have both network games (Browns/Cinci and 49ers /Steelers). I can see what you guys are saying about the QB play.
  4. That's a nice feature. I'm just amazed I'm still able to get Red Zone with all the hype about it on NFL+.
  5. I'm amazed I'm able to watch the Red Zone on the NFL app through my Spectrum provider login.
  6. When you think of what some of us have experienced in our lifetimes when it comes to television, it's quite remarkable. We got our first black and white TV...a cabinet model with an indoor antenna when I was maybe 5 years old. We got 3 channels. 4 if you counted public television. Then we graduated to color. I remember when cable came out. So many channels...it was heaven. I had satellite for awhile when Time Warner lost the NFL Network then went back to cable when I relocated to WNY and my current home. I switched to streaming in 2018 after my Mom passed away. (She would never have been able to handle streaming...especially the remote controls on the Roku and Apple TV.) So some of us have experienced it all. Change is inevitable.
  7. That's why they are getting away from the cable model. They were ready to drop it in 2019. They want to concentrate on internet services but can also get a bit of the TV streaming pie. BTW...if you're this big of a sweetheart on the phone, I can understand why they hang up on you.
  8. Actually Charter is pretty smart. Years ago they developed the Spectrum TV app which streams everything you can get through their cable app. They are aware that cable is not sustainable and is dying out. So you get your Spectrum TV minus the costs of their equipment. Direct TV did the same thing. They now have Direct TV Stream...Direct TV minus the satellite. It all depends on what programming you want to watch and what channels you can live without. You can get your premium movie channels on stand alone apps. Minus those you have to weigh what sports and entertainment channels are must haves and that determines which service you subscribe to. Only Spectrum and DTV offer everything...and you can stream them both.
  9. And I believe there is one Bills game at the end of the year that is only airing on Peacock. So now you are set!
  10. When you think about how much the Bills won last year...notwithstanding the last game vs the Bengals...with so many injuries and having to play 2nd stringers a lot, a wide receiving corps that left a lot to be desired, and an oline that was nothing to write home about...they should be loaded for bear this year! Go Bills!
  11. I had signed up for the free 12 months of Peacock through Spectrum when it was first offered. After the 12 months, I unsubscribed. I saw that Penn State was playing on Peacock today, so I decided to see if I could sign up again through Spectrum since the promo is still being offered and my first subscription was over a year ago. Bingo! It worked! So it's small consolation considering all the Disney crappola, but it's something! So for those of you who are sticking with Spectrum and would like to stream Peacock, give this a try!
  12. That's an easy fix though with an indoor antenna, unlike losing stations one can only get via cable, coax or streaming.
  13. As good as Mahomes is, he's helped quite a bit by Kelce. Mahomes ran more tonight than usual. So...will Dalton Kinkaid lift Josh's game? He and Knox could really open things up!
  14. Mahomes without Kelce is having to run more. Hmmmm......
  15. If you lose control of a jet ski for other than mechanical failure you shouldn't be operating one.
  16. I hear you. My late Mom would not have been able to handle streaming...especially the Apple and Roku remotes. She passed in 2018 and when I returned the cable box for her bedroom TV, I called Spectrum afterward and the customer service rep told me about streaming. That's when I made the move to Apple TV in the LR and Rokus elsewhere. I still have a landline in addition to my cell. It's actually a nice backup for when the cell service isn't that great which has occurred from time to time at home.
  17. Did they offer you the $15 credit? I read several articles that Disney gets $9+ for every ESPN cable subscriber.
  18. It's got that. No A&E, AMC, CNN, History channel, TBS, TCM, or TNT. Might be Cooking Channel...that one is on their Ultimate plan. There's a new streaming service called Frndly that has A&E and the History channel among 40 other channels for only $6.99 per month, so that could work around a couple of them. The only two providers that give you everything (or gave you everything) were Spectrum and Direct TV stream. DTV is feuding with Nextar over the locals at present, but you can use an antenna to get around that. I read today that the ultimate plan for Disney is to develop ESPN into a standalone streaming service. They're talking with everyone about partnering...including Verizon, Amazon, and the NFL. The target was 2025 but that is likely to move up as Disney will need to recoup lost revenue. It's actually in Charter's best interest to move this forward to resolution. I actually sent an email to the VP of Customer Service for Charter today. (It was clean! )
  19. Fubo has the Travel Channel. It's missing the History channel and the Turner networks and a few others.
  20. Unfortunately, Verizon stopped expanding and Fios is not available everywhere. Ticks me off.
  21. Thank goodness for the CFL today. I'm watching Edmonton and Calgary now. Clemson plays Duke tonight, but it's on ESPN, so I am "dark." Also my favorite show on National Geographic premieres tonight as well. So...we will see how long this goes on and how patient I can be.
