  1. When Jefferson won the ESPY for the best play with that catch, Cam Lewis should have been given one for a "supporting role."
  2. That was Shane Falco's line in the movie The Replacements when he was tackled hard during practice.
  3. I got it Shaw. I couldn't figure out why some thought it offensive...and then I realized they likely never heard that little song before.
  4. I just remember that right before the fumble, the color man on the broadcast was talking about "butt sweat" on the ball being a problem.
  5. I know for certain it wasn't Bates. Wasn't it Greg Mancz?
  6. He didn't wait until training camp. It was OTA's. He likely wanted a face-to-face meeting as he knew he would likely get emotional.
  7. Josh hugged me!!! I'm never going to take a bath again!
  8. I see your point, but this was the first time Diggs got to address it with McD since the season ended. He got away from football and focused on another one of his passions...fashion. I think addressing it straightaway, he was able to process his thoughts with McD and perhaps see if there were any points of agreement or if he was coming from left field. He got the conversation out of the way and moved on. As Diggs said, "it's water under the bridge."
  9. We were all upset about the way we lost in the playoffs last year! Why is anyone surprised at this? It looked like half the team didn't want to be there and weren't putting out maximum effort. If that is what bothered Diggs, then good for him! As to McD's comment about being "concerned, " sometimes McD speaks globally...i.e. he's always concerned about all his players. In this case, he should have said nothing.
  10. His press conference was very refreshing. Diggs was genuine and very straightforward and honest in his interactions with the press. He's been painted in a negative light with people making all kinds of inferences. It was a non-issue really. He hated the way the Bills lost last year to Cinci and, because McD has an open door policy, he wanted to talk about it. That's all it was. He said it is now "water under the bridge."
  11. Dang press conference is interfering with the NFL Replay of Bills vs KC from last year.
  12. The snow didn't start until the 4th quarter. The Bills scored 11 pts in the 4th for the win.
  13. I switched to digital over a year ago. However, if that is going to be the new rate for digital, I'll just drop them. Likely they will reach out and offer me a deal, which I may or may not consider. I hate to see local press die out, but their rate increases have just been ridiculous.
  14. I agree. Their job is also not to CREATE the news...which is happening all too frequently these days.
  15. What a bonehead play by the QB. Throw the ball away!
  16. I don't want them to fail. They were a much better network before bringing in all these ex-sports figures. They were fun and objective. I still remember when they used to cut up and laugh uncontrollably when something absurd happened. Who was the guy that lost it when Carl Lewis sang the national anthem? Charlie????
  17. Part of the problem with ESPN of late, which makes it less enjoyable to watch, is all the bias among commentators. I won't watch the morning shows because of that bias. Mike Greenburg is insufferable with his Jets fandom.
  18. Thanks for posting this video. What a hoot! That's exactly what this board has become. You used to be able to come to this board and have a balanced discussion...positive and negative. I think a lot of the more balanced posters have gone. Even the callers into One Bills Live have become more negative. It's tiresome and draining. We all want the Bills to win. We all crave that Superbowl. Tearing things down...which is the solution proposed by many...accomplishes nothing, except 17 years of drought. The team isn't perfect. Competition is getting stiffer. Changes have been made this season. Let's see how they play out. Then we can have a further discussion.
  19. Maybe not, but if Volin reached out to him (maybe he saw his interview with Tyler Dunne) I don't think he'd turn it down.
  20. It wouldn't surprise me if the source is still Isaiah McKenzie...even though he is no longer a Bill. He's never hesitated talking to the media and offering his opinion as fact. I think it made him feel important.
  21. Or it could have been just emotionally exhausting. Diggs is an emotional player. Likely he expressed a lot during their conversations and McD wisely let him deal with those emotions privately. I thought I heard McD say they got back together later in the day, or did I mishear that?
