  1. Not exactly major felonies here. It's not like he beats women. I could overlook this to a point. LIke Dareus, he just does foolish things, but is hurting himself more than anyone else. I'm glad I didn't live under such close scrutiny at that age. I seriously doubt he'll be released outright. That would be a real bonehead move IMO. Having a roster full of choir boys doesn't guarantee any victories. He does need to accelerate his 'growing up' process, though.
  2. I don't doubt that he'll be better than those guys, but I worry about the off target pass behind the receiver that leads to a game killing interception and such. His athleticism will create some spectacular plays, but I wish I had a nickel for every tims I've heard a coach or player say that "We just have to be more consistent." Well, it turns out that consistency IS the major difference between champions and everyone else.
  3. Daryl Lamonica was our best QB ever and Robert James our best CB along with Butch Byrd. Aaron Williams was OK, but all Bills? Not even close.
  4. I wanted Baker Mayfield and he was clearly the best choice, but I also think Darnold will be solid. Josh will continue to be splashy, but inconsistent. I wouldn't rule out Rosen this early on either and L Jackson may prove to be very good as well. I hope I'm wrong about Allen, but a highlight reel play every once in a while in year after year of losing records isn't what I'm looking for.

  6. I'll have to go with Byron Murphy, Jerry Tillery or Jonah Williams. Murphy is the best zone CB in the draft and we'd have the best secondary in the NFL. Tillery is an outstanding interior pass rusher and would set up a competition between H Phillips and Lotulelei for the other starting spot. Williams is IMHO the best OL in this draft long term. I also think Kroft is going to have his best season yet.
  7. He'd be the best TE on our roster right now.
  8. If this happens, Murphy and Shaq are gone. At least Shaq will be . We just added another pass rusher and resigned Yarborough. Clark's price may be too high, but if we throw in Murphy or Shaq to the deal, he might not be too expensive. I also think a post draft signing of Suh is unlikely, but not impossible if we don't go DT in round 1 or 2.
  9. I try not to engage in unwarranted projection this early on, but I'm really excited about this guy's potential. I suppose anything's possible at this point, but his resume is impressive. He's definitely tough enough to play in the NFL.
  10. He's not finished if this experience lights a fire under hit butt.
  11. No. I have none of the above symptoms. Josh will usually be good for a highlight reel play or 2 most weeks, but consistency is what wins championships. When I see him consistently throwing accurate passes into tight windows, I'll get excited. Until then, I'll just hope I finally get to see us win a SB before I leave this world. My greatest fear is that he'll be the next Tannehill -- just good enough to hang around too long and not good enough to take us to the dance.
  12. It should be obvious. Beane didn't fare well in round 1 last year. He drafted the QB with the worst accuracy in his class, then traded up to reach for a MLB that hits like a cheerleader, giving up a valuable 3rd round pick and 2 2nd round picks in the process.
  13. Another 1st round critical error by Beane, maybe? After last year's 1st round, I'm hoping he can also have one of those post-rookie season upticks.
  14. I thought his best was a 56 yard TD against the Colts when he ran around the strong side, saw heavy pursuit and took it back around the other way, then back again. No other RB had his vision and ability to cut back.
  15. Robert James -- The most underrated player in franchise history whose career was tragically cut short by a terrible knee injury. Greatest moment in franchise should be obvious. The 1965 AFL Championship game. Bills 23, Chargers 0
  16. I like Hockenson, but only if we trade down.
  17. That doesn't answer my question, though.
  18. After FA, I'd say a game changing receiver or RB would help a lot, but as far as the win column goes, we would be best served by a run crushing DT and a DE that could turn our ability to pressure QB's from 20-something to top 5. Get after it without having to rush more than 4 and watch the turnovers go way up along with the wins. If there was another AB out there, he might be my top draft crush, but there isn't.
  19. For what it's worth, Madden 19 says King's Kick Power (KPW) is 97 and his Kick Accuracy (KAC) is 91. Darr is 91/79. Bojorquez is 94/77. Our punters are 2 of the worst in the NFL. I know it's not QB, but we definitely need an upgrade. What is meant by "flambouyant" anyways? Do we really care when he's such a huge upgrade?
  20. I was so pumped when Denver passed on Darius to draft Von Miller instead. Looks like Elway had it right all along. Dareus is easily my biggest dissapointment in recent years and not because he's a just above average DT but because he could have been a HOF'er if he wanted to be and he threw it away. I'm glad he's blowing up someone else's cap now. So sad. Yet another poster crediting Beane and McDermott for Whaley's last draft. Truly amazing.
  21. Until at least the end of 2019 we won't know. Looks good on paper doesn't cut it. Remember the "dream team"? A big leap (No pun intended) out of Allen and Edmunds would be a big help. Neither of them impressed me in year 1. We are full of average players where last year we were starting backup caliber guys. Now we need the game changers -- guys like AB, JJ Watt, Brady. This coming draft is still make or break and our D needs help a LOT more than I think many people realize.
  22. Excellent article! I seriously hope that a change in mechanics can improve Josh's accuracy substantially. If so, look out. I'll believe it when I see it, but I am definitely hoping for it to happen. Is David Lee available?
  23. If they're everyone's pick, they aren't "sleepers".
