  1. With so many people wanting to jump off of a cliff or burn it all to the ground after a mid-season, divisional, road loss, I thought I would TRY to provide a little bit of perspective and hope. Looking into the past 5 Super Bowl winners, they all had points in their seasons where their fans likely assumed it was “a lost cause, all the players sucked, they were cursed and/or they probably should fire everyone.” 2021 Rams (12-5): Lost 3 games in a row (weeks 9-12 w/the bye in-between). Got beaten by SF twice including a 31-10 loss in week 10 and a loss in the season finale. 2020 Bucs (11-5): Lost 3 out of 4 mid-season (weeks 9-12) including a 38-3 thrashing by the Saints. Brady, I’m sure, was washed up, Arians had no idea how to coach, it was a failed experiment and they all needed to be fired. 2019 Chiefs (12-4): Lost 4 of 6 (Week5 – 10). This was the season where Mahomes was injured and missed some time. The initial fears on his injury were significant but he ended up only missing 2 games. The Chiefs went 1-1 in those games. 2018 Pats (11-5): Lost 2 of their last 4. Got stomped by Tennessee in week 10. Lost in week 14 in Miami on that crazy last second lateral walk-off play. They’d lose the next week against Pittsburgh to drop their record to 9-5. Their worst record through 14 games since 2008. I’m sure the sky definitely wasn’t falling in New England (sarcasm). 2017 Eagles (13-3): They were fairly dominant throughout their regular season but lost Wentz in week 13 for the season. It was their second loss and dropped their record to 10-2. I’m sure the Eagles fans felt cursed at the time. Had a “why can’t we have nice things” mentality. A sentimentality that I have seen expressed this week on this forum. Point being, Super Bowl caliber teams still lose an occasional game. Especially on the road against divisional rivals.
  2. I'll keep my thoughts brief: Poor game by Allen (despite him being our entire offense). Bad picks two weeks in a row. Clean it up. The Jets defense is as good as advertised. We have got to get healthier at some point. ( I hope ) It is a long season. The season will not be defined by a week 9 road loss in New Jersey. Get Milano, Rousseau, Poyer and White back for the Vikings next week and get back in the Win column. It'll be ok everyone.
  3. Wonderful 3 AM start time for me out here in Japan. Our game is the game that is televised where I am so I'm going to get a quick nap in now and be ready to go by kickoff! Go Bills!
  4. Good old political talk on the forum... as uniting for Bills fans as Johnson vs. Flutie or whether or not we need to focus on running the football. I don't know much about bitcoin, but I do have a map of my yard showing all of the spots where I buried my life savings. Can't trust those banks!
  5. I was never much of a fan of blue over blue. It was my second least favorite combo, only ahead of the combo that shall not be worn. BUT! They keep winning wearing that combo so I say keep on wearing them
  6. 41-9 We get a PAT blocked on the opening drive touchdown and the Jets think that it will possibly come back to haunt us... but it does not. Go Bills
  7. A few rhetorical questions about the trade: Did we get better? Undoubtedly, Yes. Did we sell the farm to get better? Absolutely not. This is a win of a trade, even if we do still have a log jam and some redundancy at RB. Hines is an upgrade and makes us more dangerous.
  8. This thread...... Some of you need to spend some time watching other teams play or even going to other team's forums to get some perspective. Even when we are "off" we are still better than most teams in this league. When we are "on" we are untouchable. That is due to a combination of the talent that Beane has acquired and the coaching staff's ability to coach it. There are only a handful of franchises in this league that don't look at what we currently have with envy. Yet every week there are a few, and I do believe it to be the minority, of us that want to fire everyone. I trust that Beane is doing everything he can to smartly set us up for success. Not only this year, but the next, and the next.... He is one of the good ones. Go Bills.
  9. A coaches dream for the upcoming week of practice... A game that you lead the entire time, flirted with blowing the doors right open and it being a laugher that ultimately felt closer than it was but you still win by multiple possessions. There was a lot of good to take from this game but also very obviously things to clean up for a divisional road game next week. I wouldn't want to be a Jets defender next week. I think it is going to be ugly.
  10. That's great Sammy. Get ready to hold that "L" from your team
  11. I can't wait for the, returning from commercial shots, of those buffalo in-front of the stadium. especially during a snow game. they can now routinely add those in with the obligatory shots of sheas and the falls.
  12. I just think it is really interesting reading everyone's different (and often similar) perspectives. As most pointed out, I don't think either are a legitimate threat to the division, and that wasn't the intent of the thread. It's just an interesting game, within the division that I wish both teams could somehow lose. Go Bills.
  13. The Jets (5-2) are playing the Pats (3-4) this week and despite the fact that the Jets are only 1 loss behind us in the W/L column, I cannot force myself to root for the Patriots. Anyone else feel that way? Maybe it is because I still think that the Jets will fall off a cliff here soon, especially after losing Hall. ..here's hoping for a 0-0 tie.
  14. I hope you have a safe trip, good weather and watch the Bills dominate.
  15. RV Lot... They are all food trucks. ...the password to get in is " Go Bills"
  16. I get where you are coming from OP and you could make the same argument about Tre. The fact that we are even having a discussion about it speaks to how well our coaching staff does with the DBs in the locker room. At the end of the day, I believe two things to be true - White would've made a difference in that KC game & Likely no other safety intercepts that pass from Jones in the Patriots game. White and Hyde are both all-pro caliber players that make a difference on every play.
  17. A comment on their forum's game thread. "So you’ve destroyed Mac, showed that Zappe has no business being a starting QB, and cemented last place all in one night." ...love to see it
  18. I'm lame and just went with initials
  19. I read today that Aaron Rodgers has never been a double digit underdog in his career. Against the Chiefs, it was first time that Mahomes was an underdog at home and Allen became the first QB to beat him in Arrowhead twice. The game before that they were 14 point favorites over the Steelers. The Steelers' largest spread in like 50 years and the Bills still crushed that. What a time to be alive and a fan of the Bills.
  20. I take it by the final score and the meltdowns occurring over on the finheaven boards that removing the ping pong table was not the answer to their problem.... lol
  21. The job that Frazier has done with out mash unit defense this season so far is absolutely remarkable. Him and McD have shown a consistent ability to coach up DBs to be successful in this system. They really are phenomenal. .... and just thought I would take a second to sing Milano's praises. He is an absolute machine.
  22. Elam is going to have his ups and downs throughout the season. He is a rookie that is learning a lot on the job. So we get our great moments and occasional struggles as he continues to develop. Assuming we continue to get healthy as a team (Hello Mr. Tre White), this secondary is going to be disgusting by the end of the season. It pretty much already is...
  23. Favorite days of the year.. My anniversary, Christmas, Kid's birthdays and when Spags posts on our forum.
