McDermott has always played rookies. Tre White and Tremaine Edmunds played right away. Elam and a couple others haven't, and it is because they have been inconsistent.
He played as a third safety in dime packages. It is what Cam Lewis would have done if he wasn't starting in place for Johnson.
I just found out that Ingram was playing as a third safety in dime packages, not at outside corner. Since Cam Lewis had to play full time at the nickel corner position, Ingram had to be the 3rd safety.
It is hyper sensitivity to negative plays. I think fans forget that football games are like that. Rarely do you go out and dominate and not have the other team have positive plays themselves. Part of it is that the Bills have been such a dominant team that expectations are a little unrealistically high.
Seriously. Even the announcers were immune to it. I remember one of the plays he made two rushers miss and hit a receiver perfectly on the run and the announcers barely reacted.
Miller bull rushed his man into the QB, though. And he had a pressure earlier where Murray scrambled out of it. He looked infinitely better than last year, at least.
Josh isn't going to miss time for his non-throwing hand.
Johnson was questionable to return and not immediately marked doubtful or out. Maybe that is evidence that he might ultimately be ok?
I really don't get it. I mean, Ingram is fine. He is promising depth. But Elam is pretty good when he plays and makes impact plays, although he is a bit of a roller coaster.
