  1. They don't. You get 3 free call ups. Ok, yeah, I think they changed it a couple of years ago to 3.
  2. Am I missing something? Practice squad players can be called up three times.
  3. I always want the Bills to win. That's a hard rule for me. I never root for losses. I don't care how it affects the draft. Half the players in the 1st round are busts anyway.
  4. You don't know they are elite until they get in the league, unfortunately.
  5. The elite guys are the only ones. The Bills don't have one of those.
  6. Bad teams are almost always loaded with draft picks and cap space.
  7. That doesn't actually happen. You draft a bunch of players who bust. You draft a couple who might be starters. And you get a handful of depth players. Bad teams don't draft and develop well.
  8. Yes I am. Crap teams have amazing draft capital all the time. It rarely helps them.
  9. Draft picks in general are far overvalued. It is more important to develop their young QB than literally anything else they could possibly ever do in their organization. Everything else should be secondary.
  10. Because the first pick in the draft is extremely overrated if you have your QB.
  11. That would be a stupid move. Young QBs need playing time, and a meaningless game for both teams is a perfect scenario to get him valuable experience.
  12. The Jets job has to be one of the least attractive jobs ever. They are going to struggle to find a quality candidate who is willing. They have a meddling owner, a history of failure, toxic media, a 41 year old QB, the longest playoff drought in sports, and they are in a division with a consistently dominant Bills team.
  13. You realize that every team does this, right?
  14. Then why didn't he put it where it is supposed to be?
  15. I don't understand the Miami fear. Haven't we shown consistently that we know how to beat them, usually by a lot?
  16. Who is "we"? I've never been down on McDermott.
  17. You cost me my patience.
  18. They weren't dodgy at all about the Hyde signing. He just so clearly lost a big step the last time he was playing. He doesn't have the coverage range. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him elevated as a backup to play in spot duty. I guess we'll see what happens.
  19. They told you exactly what it was when he was signed. They said the expectations were extremely low for him. He was signed to a practice squad spot. He is there to provide some leadership and depth in case of emergency, just like any other practice squad player. If you read more into it, that's on you, especially when they were so clear that he was not brought in to start.
  20. Expectations are always dangerous. I don't think anyone should expect a blowout in the national football league. Fans are mad because their expectations are not aligned with reality. And the reality is that it is a week to week league and divisional games can be tight regardless of talent and records. And that is part of what makes the NFL great. You can't predict well what will happen.
  21. Everything Worthy gets is heavily manufactured for him.
  22. Bills: 23 Jets: 20
  23. I have seen many games from that era. I have Kelly over Allen because I still think his legacy is greater than Allen's. He took the Bills to 4 superbowls and has 5 pro bowl and 1 all pro seasons versus Allen's 2 pro bowl and no all pro seasons. He also has 101 wins to Allen's 75. Kelly also has 10k more passing yards and about 40 more passing TDs. He played in a much more difficult era to play QB. I just think his accomplishments are greater than Josh Allen's. If we are going with pure talent, it would be Josh Allen, but to me, being the best means more than just talent. It requires accomplishments and awards like superbowls, pro bowls, etc., and it also means longevity and accumulating stats and wins. I have no doubt that Josh Allen will end his career as the best QB in Bills history and will be a first-ballot hall of famer.
  24. Nope, I'm a young guy! But Bills history is really interesting to me. I'm not even old enough to remember the 90's superbowl teams, haha.
  25. He became what he was largely after he left.
