  1. It's smart and every QB does it. It is part of being competitive and doing everything you possibly can to help the team. In soccer it is bad because of how they fake injury and act like they are dying.
  2. No, I would rather the refs not be required to try to interpret intent. Their job is already subjective enough. Give them clear rules to follow and enforce. Agree, although there was incidental contact to the head. When I watched that back I would have preferred a no call there.
  3. The rules don't really try to govern intent. They try to govern the actual, physical actions of the players. Even a call like intentional grounding, with intent in the name, is not actually governing intent. They have physical rules around it (no receiver within X amount of yards, etc.).
  4. Yeah, those types of hits used to be celebrated. I think it's good that things have changed, but sometimes it feels like any hard hit is going to get a flag, even if technically within the rules, which sucks.
  5. Apparently, he has a history of that this season. So, I can get behind the suspension. If this was a first time thing, I think it would be far too severe.
  6. Wow, suspended the rest of the season? That seems pretty harsh.
  7. This is his best season. He has been dominating all year long.
  8. The NFC primarily plays the NFC. The AFC the AFC. Thr AFC clearly has the better QB's and more good teams. The NFC is more top heavy.
  9. Horrible PI called against the Titans. Horrible.
  10. It didn't, because the Ravens did not retain the rights to the Browns. They became essentially a new expansion team.
  11. They retained all of the rights and history of the team. The new Houston team could not have gone back to the Oilers, I don't think. They would have had to buy the rights, or something, I bet.
  12. Those throwback oilers uniforms look WAY better than their current ones.
  13. The Jets oline is atrocious. They have no answers. No wonder Zach Wilson is hesitant to play. He is getting murdered.
  14. Sure, but Zach Wilson has to perform in that weather too, which is not a comforting thought.
  15. They'll drug him up and trot him out there. He won't feel a thing.
  16. So, Allen is on par with QB's from a previous era of football? That's not good.
  17. Allen went through a period of getting some calls, but I don't see it much anymore.
  18. Why should the offense get the ball for not recovering it? It's like the one rule where the defense actually has an advantage. If you view the end zone as the territory of the defense that they are defending, it makes a little more sense. The ball enters their territory and thus becomes theirs unless the offense controls it. I think it is a good rule and it adds an interesting element to the game.
  19. It all depends on how the Dolphins finish. And if Hill keeps having injury issues and his production falls off because of that, he is not going to win MVP. I think it is a stretch anyway. A WR has never won it. The award almost always goes to the QB with the best stats on a team with a great record.
  20. What would our last receiver on the depth chart have to do with Diggs?
  21. Safety is going to be a major target in the off season. The hope was for Rapp to prove himself, but he hasn't, so he is not a viable replacement. I was hoping that Hyde would return to form, but he is not the player he was and his continued neck issues are scary. That dude needs to retire. Poyer would be fine for next year if they wanted to keep one of them for one more year of continuity.
  22. You post this after a game where he actually did something?
  23. I think winning the division is actually the most likely way to make the playoffs, now. But that picture changes after every week. Go beat Dallas and see where the chips fall afterward.
