Boyle is way worse than Zach Wilson. -
Flutie and Johnson were working with the Russians? It all makes sense, now...

Russian hackers trying to divide Bills fans. It is the next conspiracy.

The last game played on Black Friday was Buffalo at Boston in 1962

It's hard to tell. It could have been at the edge of the field. -

Surely it wasn't on the field... -
Part of concussion protocol is getting back to football activities and seeing how you respond, so that makes sense. Clearly, Taron Johnson responded well, so he cleared protocol.

Stop them on earlier downs. 1 yard has never been difficult for teams to convert on anyways. Ok, but Brady was basically unstoppable on the QB sneak as well, so there is something to compare there. The reason Brady was so good was because of expert execution by him and the oline. They just were so dialed in and knew how to do it so well. That is how it is for Philly too. Other teams can't replicate what they do.

We lost to the Jets week 1. We just blew them out last week. It is a week to week league. Get in and give yourself a shot.

Isn't he subject to waivers?
-
Cincy lost Burrow, though. How many more games are they realistically going to win, do you think?

Watching old lions games? That sounds... fun...

So, we are banning plays because they are good? Because they are hard to defend? Better ban any form of QB sneak, then. The physics are the same. The only legitimate issue is if the injury rate is higher. And I don't think it is.
-
It was the Giants and they had 2 injured. I mentioned that in my post. Why? I just don't get this. How is it bad sportsmanship? How is it any different than blocking? You push people out of the way for the runner, why is it bad to push the runner through? It is essentially the same as blocking.

Breaking: Jets QB Zach Wilson being benched for Tim Boyle
MJS replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe because the coaches tell him not to. -
On the basis of the lack of injuries for both traditional QB sneaks and this version of the QB sneak. They are relatively safe plays, mostly because there is very little build up of momentum before impact. The issue with Rugby scrums is that players have their arms linked, connecting the force of those around you and not allowing you to buckle back from the force. I'm sure they will look at the play, but just in watching this happen for a couple of years now, has there been injuries? I believe there were none all last year, and I think there were a couple of giants players injured this year (a center and TE). A few years ago Mahomes was injured on a QB sneak, but Andy Reid admitted it was a freak accident and people don't usually get hurt on sneaks. I would not be surprised if the QB sneak, including the latest version, is actually one of the safest plays in football.

Yes, the way he said hello you could tell his patience was already thin. I do not think he likes John one bit. And those saying Sean was disrespectful: are you serious? That has to be the most respectful disrespect I have ever heard. Also, it is just objectively the truth that Sean's home is in Buffalo. Sean moves around a lot because of his job. I moved around a lot growing up because of my Dad's job. You don't get too attached to places and you have to move on mentally when you move physically. I lived in Colorado for a long time, but if Wawrow said "you are heading back home to Colorado" to me, I would be confused and say, "No, I actually live Louisiana. My home is in Louisiana."

It is not more dangerous than a regular QB sneak.
-
Dude, he only dove after the ball hit his hands and then bounced and hit him in the face. He floundered trying to catch the ball. It was a pretty dang good throw. Bills fans would be pretty mad if that was Davis trying to catch that pass.
-
Yeah, I had the same guesses, but was Foster's really that long? I can't remember. But I still don't know how Josh Allen got that pass off...
-
For sure, but it doesn't stop their ridiculous tough guy act.
-
And a couple of puny people "holding him back", like, if he really wanted he could plow through those people like swatting flies. But he let them hold him back.
-
I mean, this is exactly what everyone called for. Bring him back slowly and allow him to work to get back to effectiveness by the playoffs. Now many of those same people are lamenting that he isn't doing much. Well, yeah, that was always going to be the case, but maybe in a few weeks he will get to the point that he is somewhat his old self. Also, maybe he won't. It is a risk. But I think they should still give him some snaps each week. If there is even a small chance that he could get back to what he was, even just somewhat, that would be huge for the playoffs if we get in.
