Football is a violent sport. I really hope no one gets hurt this weekend. Especially not key players on certain teams. -

Stay the course. Keep our guys and picks. Good for now and future. -
Worst day of my life. Without too many details: jumped by 3 dudes the night before, smelling salt involved, bloody still at game, section 132 hated me, when Bills took the lead I let them have it big-time, after the forward pass, I couldn't "get away" (400 vs 1). Went to doc in Cincy. Concussion, 2 broken teeth, many scrapes and bruises. The topper is, had just started a new job. What I do for this team...

I'm all for Sweeney/Knox and let Kroft go away. I was just responding you asking what about Kroft's stats were worthy of playing him. He did prove in 2017 (before injuries) that he's a legit TE (7 TDs, 9.6 avg per catch, 23 catches for first down). IF healthy, I would split time with Sweeney. If Kroft never sees the field, that's OK too. Don't feel that strongly about him.

Bye Week Musings About the NFL at Large
BuffaloBillies replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll give the NFL a little credit on how they've handled the new PI challenges. They are extremely reluctant to overturn a call (either way). The rule was in place for the egregious ones (Rams/Saints), not for coaches to try to get away with some BS finger touching a shoulder. I do like how they are (not) allowing coaches to abuse the rule. -
How about some haiku fun?
BuffaloBillies replied to Drunken Pygmy Goat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ha. I guess you're right. "tired" is tricky - I guess that is 2 syllables. The way I say it, it sounds like 1. I'll take out the "and" and change it to: Cold, hungry, tired The Buffalo charges forth To seek and destroy -

Ha. I tried to explain sleestaks to my kids, they looked at me like I was a dinosaur. Land of the lost was awesome. -

In case it helps (I had to look it up): A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression. Cold, hungry, and tired The Buffalo charges forth To seek and destroy -

Unless injury calls for it, no need to trade for anyone. Why give anything up (player or pick)? We're good right now, and have depth, and a full complement of draft picks next year. We're not desperate. Stay the course.

Shut you up, Dablitzkieg, it was Marcus. That's awesome.... -
Great summary. I would add... Lee Smith was the first TE to catch a pass today. Sweeney and Knox have to catch those balls. Period. Duke's the *****. Hopefully he stays humble and just keeps ballin'. Loved Brown rippin' McKenzie in the huddle. Vets need to teach the youngin's like that. You mentioned the calls against Milano, but what about the hold called on Ford (when he got injured), I saw NOTHING at all - and Gore had just run for a first down. That was terrible. I think Bozo is fine... not sure what all the fuss is about. Don't QB sneak with needing almost 2 yards (that was dumb). 5 minutes to go and 2 incomplete PASSES - that was not smart. Should have been run, run. pass (maybe) in that situation Vrabel's an idiot for sending out the FG unit down 7 from 53 yards away after missing 3 prior (WTF was he thinking!!!??) Henry is a great back. I respect him. Almost every time, 2 extra yards at the end of his runs. The OL was REALLY impressive today. Really impressive. I don't know if y'all have noticed, but the "soft spot" in the Bills defense is right in the middle of the field. There are some plays where no one is around the offensive guy (maybe that's by design, and they are willing to get beat there), but I've noticed it all year. Something they should address. So excited about this team. Loved Mafia invading Tenn. Should probably keep it up and invade every stadium. Someone start a gofundme page for bills fans that want to go to visiting stadiums. I would contribute. Go Bills.
