  1. A+. This might be the first time I've given him a better grade than you. Confident, decisive, and poised. I don't even know what the exact stats were and I don't care, that was a top quality QB'ed game.
  2. Awful series, and I would’ve been shocked if BrickHausch made that.
  3. Great drive! Horrible timeout before an extra point. But we definitely needed a drive like that. Josh looked good there, decisive and confident with throwing the ball.
  4. While it should’ve been a penalty on a late hit...Josh is going to have throw the ball today. Can’t play this hold the ball game against them.
  5. I don't understand the people who say those aren't real fans. Garrett is a horrific in-game coach. I would always want what's best for the team, and for them I agree, it's Garrett getting fired. I'm not afraid to say I didn't mind losing when coaches like Jauron and Gailey were here. I do agree that's easier said than done, because come kickoff time no matter what I said, I would at times be rooting for the Bills to win. But honestly, a couple of extra wins in a certain season could have set us back an extra couple of years. How is that the best outcome for the team?
  6. I typically think you tend to grade Josh way too easily...but I agree with this one. Might've even gone B+. I don't care much about the INT, I care more about trying to make winning plays and how he comes back from throwing a pick. I'm hoping that what sounds like this shift into letting Josh be himself while also making improvements in his game is what's leading to this. What scared me the most about what I saw this season wasn't necessarily the regression on his deep ball or at times the inaccuracy on intermediate throws...it was the total deer in the headlights look against the Pats where it looked like the moment was too big for him and he didn't handle his poor start well. I like that he's come back from some low moments this season and hopefully revving up his game in this latter part of the year. I'd love to see that deep ball come back though and give us some more Robert Foster too!
  7. I get that he’s a kicker...but that was still a garbage effort from Hausch on the tackle attempt
  8. Hes an “any possession that ends with a kick is a good one” type of coach.
  9. Also why don’t we have anything better drawn up for 3rd and 6 than a 20 yard 50/50 ball to John Brown?
  10. Allen really can’t hit any throw that’s remotely tough. Pretty much guys that are clearly open in pockets.
  11. I wish I had gone to schools that graded this easy
  12. Love this board but gotta question my thread title being edited from Dick Jauron Jr to McDermott. Does that mean any thread created that compares a player or coach to another is automatically edited or it’s by chance on if a Mod agrees with it or not?
  13. It really doesn’t even have to do anything with “old school”. It’s just dumb school. I have never seen a good coach readily give up a shot to win like that, ever.
  14. That was sickening, absolute vomit-worthy. How do you just let 20+ seconds just wind off the clock there and go for the tie instead of TRYING TO WIN THE GAME??? What kind of coach is even thinking about only trying to force OT there with that much time on the clock and a timeout in your pocket?? If we’re being aggressive there and Josh throws a pick, I can live with that. I can live with putting the game in the hands of who we hope will be our franchise QB’s hands and living or dying. That last drive had a couple of the best throws he made all day. He wasn’t good at all, but if we’re not even going to attempt to give him the shot to win the game, what’s the point of any of this? I will just never understand this mentality. It’s the same mentality McD has when he gives up free possessions at the end of a half with sufficient time and timeouts left on the board. This isn’t a true winning, killer instinct mentality, and that’s why when we’ve been hit with adversity from a couple of the good teams we have faced in the Pats and Eagles, we didn’t respond. McD is a play not to lose coach, not a play to win coach. It’s a huge problem. This can not permeate into the rest of the organization to be a perennial mediocre-to-solid team every year. I fear more than ever that this won’t be the guy to bring us over the top, but that people will be satisfied simply because it’s better than what we had before.
  15. McD HAS to start calling timeouts here if the Browns keep driving. We can run the clock out if they don’t get a 1st anyway. Can not be conservative!
  16. The truth is, this is how he plays most days. Our D has covered a lot of his inadequacies.
  17. Honestly, what’s the argument for Josh being a good quaterback?
  18. Doesnt the other team have to play against the same wind? I don’t hate Josh, there just seems to be an excuse-machine for him. It’s Buffalo. It’s going to be windy and trashy weather sometimes.
  19. Its not that so much as it is that our QB just isn’t that good.
  20. What’s the honest argument that Josh is a good QB? I’m very open-minded, I have no agenda, I badly want for Josh to succeed. But I just don’t see it.
  21. I think he has some good ideas schematically... But I do agree on some plays it seems like our routes just take way too long to develop. I remember a replay being shown on a 3rd and 5 where John Brown ran a complex 15 yard route before he turned his head and Allen had already been brought to the ground before he even did. I will also say that I think Allen makes him look worse than he is sometimes. 5-1 is nice, but I tend to look at it more in the lens of do we have the QB/OC package to beat a top team with the season on the line...and I highly question that as of right now.
  22. I do get that, but I also get that for us to beat really good teams, he’s going to have to really improve his deep ball. Hes gotta hit that, Roberts was wiiiide open
  23. Haha of course as soon as I say that, he overthrows Roberts by about 20 yards
  24. Definitely some better throws so far in the 2nd half
