  1. It really doesn’t even have to do anything with “old school”. It’s just dumb school. I have never seen a good coach readily give up a shot to win like that, ever.
  2. That was sickening, absolute vomit-worthy. How do you just let 20+ seconds just wind off the clock there and go for the tie instead of TRYING TO WIN THE GAME??? What kind of coach is even thinking about only trying to force OT there with that much time on the clock and a timeout in your pocket?? If we’re being aggressive there and Josh throws a pick, I can live with that. I can live with putting the game in the hands of who we hope will be our franchise QB’s hands and living or dying. That last drive had a couple of the best throws he made all day. He wasn’t good at all, but if we’re not even going to attempt to give him the shot to win the game, what’s the point of any of this? I will just never understand this mentality. It’s the same mentality McD has when he gives up free possessions at the end of a half with sufficient time and timeouts left on the board. This isn’t a true winning, killer instinct mentality, and that’s why when we’ve been hit with adversity from a couple of the good teams we have faced in the Pats and Eagles, we didn’t respond. McD is a play not to lose coach, not a play to win coach. It’s a huge problem. This can not permeate into the rest of the organization to be a perennial mediocre-to-solid team every year. I fear more than ever that this won’t be the guy to bring us over the top, but that people will be satisfied simply because it’s better than what we had before.
  3. McD HAS to start calling timeouts here if the Browns keep driving. We can run the clock out if they don’t get a 1st anyway. Can not be conservative!
  4. The truth is, this is how he plays most days. Our D has covered a lot of his inadequacies.
  5. Honestly, what’s the argument for Josh being a good quaterback?
  6. Doesnt the other team have to play against the same wind? I don’t hate Josh, there just seems to be an excuse-machine for him. It’s Buffalo. It’s going to be windy and trashy weather sometimes.
  7. Its not that so much as it is that our QB just isn’t that good.
  8. What’s the honest argument that Josh is a good QB? I’m very open-minded, I have no agenda, I badly want for Josh to succeed. But I just don’t see it.
  9. I think he has some good ideas schematically... But I do agree on some plays it seems like our routes just take way too long to develop. I remember a replay being shown on a 3rd and 5 where John Brown ran a complex 15 yard route before he turned his head and Allen had already been brought to the ground before he even did. I will also say that I think Allen makes him look worse than he is sometimes. 5-1 is nice, but I tend to look at it more in the lens of do we have the QB/OC package to beat a top team with the season on the line...and I highly question that as of right now.
  10. I do get that, but I also get that for us to beat really good teams, he’s going to have to really improve his deep ball. Hes gotta hit that, Roberts was wiiiide open
  11. Haha of course as soon as I say that, he overthrows Roberts by about 20 yards
  12. Definitely some better throws so far in the 2nd half
  13. Haha over a minute and 2 timeouts and down 5 and we’ll just take it to the half. Great stuff.
  14. What needs to be done to have Josh throw the ball?
  15. I honestly have a hard time believing that people that see Allen as a star actually watch other NFL teams. I dont think he’s horrible but a really far cry from anything resembling a star. Basically mediocre at best with some fun moments athletically.
  16. I'd go with a B. I think he's a good leader and teacher. No doubt the guys come to play for him. He is not a good game manager. This is very worrisome given we're in year 3. As you can see with someone like Andy Reid who is in many ways a brilliant coach...it is something that some coaches just never figure out.
  17. I'd like to have one more back but that's because I'm not huge on Yeldon. It would feel better going down the stretch to have a solid 3rd option with Singletary's possible injury and Gore's wear and tear. I wouldn't want to pay big for Gordon though. I think he's kind of a tweener where he's pretty good but not great, but will likely get paid as great.
  18. I already love Duke, showed more heart in this game than I’ve ever seen from Zay
  19. What concerns me about that is it’s the 2nd time that’s happened this season, the QB sneak on 4th and 2. I think our offensive coaching and game management is still a big problem.
  20. We have to be the only team that just gives away a possession like that at the end of the half. So many other teams would be salivating to get the ball with 45 secs and all 3 timeouts.
  21. Were not going to kneel it with 3 timeouts left are we?
  22. He could remedy all of that by just playing well, or even half decent.
  23. Challenge! Oh wait, we wasted 2 on horrific challenges.
  24. Can Josh PLEASE do something??? Still somehow a one possession game!
