  1. Just curious, what makes you feel that they are top notch individuals at the helm? The results don't bear that out.
  2. Peyton only had to face Brady twice in his first 8 seasons before he finally won in year 9. He actually had some really bad postseason performances up until then. That's why I don't see this as comparable. Outside of the Bengals game, Josh has been really good and at times lights out and legendary in the playoffs...and we're still losing. Peyton was moreso himself getting over the hump...ours is a different battle in having a head coach that is completely in over his head.
  3. I’ll just never understand. Guy can’t stop anyone in big games and we’re just staying the course.
  4. This took the air out of that game though. The regular season wins vs them don’t matter anymore.
  5. It should make people angrier at McD. Josh leaves everything out there, played a great game, he was ready for it, has his blood, sweat, and tears on the field. And we have a coach that won’t do any of that. That won’t even put in the work to improve himself as a coach in any way. I can’t believe we’re bringing him back and punting another prime year of Josh. He is going to end up being one of the most tragic superstars in sports.
  6. How is this not Dick Jauron all over again? He basically just said “it’s hard to win in the NFL.” He’s literally Dick with an elite QB.
  7. The Reid comps for McD are completely asinine. Reid went to 4 straight NFC Championship games and a Superbowl with a LESSER QB than Allen while McD has so much trouble just getting out of the Divisional Round. Also, Reid was a terrible in-game manager, still probably isn’t a great one, but they can live with it because he’s always been very proficient with his side of the ball, would you agree? While for us, the primary reason we keep losing in the playoffs is because of McD’s side of the ball despite him being given a tremendous amount of resources for it with money and picks. And he obviously directly cost us the 13 seconds game with his own personal choke job. McD’s defense, his supposed specialty and what he’s supposed to be proficient in, has been our biggest problem in the playoffs, he’s a horrendous in-game manager except we’re not getting the payoff on his side of the ball, and he’s had issues with identifying quality coordinators. So what do you look at with McD and say “wow, I’m really glad we have what he does in this department!” Because I literally don’t see a thing. Jordan needed a new coach to break through, the way they were going was not working. He’s talked many times about how getting the right coach was so integral to what ended up being their Dynastic success.
  8. I could see both Brady and Babich leaving to take OC/DC roles elsewhere even if McD offers them here, for obvious reasons
  9. This is exactly what I feel about McD. There is literally nothing he brings to the table as a Head Coach. His side of the ball gets lit up in every big game despite giving himself tremendous resources, he’s still a horrendous in-game manager, he has trouble hiring good coordinators, he gets worse in the playoffs…I really just don’t get it. I don’t know how people want to keep a coach that doesn’t actually excel at anything and has no strengths as a Head Coach.
  10. Sure, but who hired them in the first place? Or this ST coordinator? Or the other coordinators he’s fired while here? Part of being a good coach is being able to find good staff.
  11. It's McD, he'll scapegoat somebody. It'll be the ST coach, he has nobody else. And he'll never take accountability for himself.
  12. I don't get it...you're flexing "5th" place? Which even that's generous considering 5-8 went the same exact distance. But this is the standard for the Pro-McD crowd. I think that's really the difference here.
  13. I don't really see how we're a championship contender with 3 straight Divisional Round exits. With McD we're kind of just a Mid team.
  14. Not really a huge deal for them. It would be great if someone hired their DC away, that tandem of Taylor/Anarumo is a solid part of why they're good .
  15. Tough break for Von that they cut the list off at 5. I'm sure he was next.
  16. Those 2 seasons the offense was so much fun to watch. They needed more of a run game for the postseason brand of football but the passing game was so much better. I used to actually not mind at all, sometimes even love when we'd get holding or other penalties to make it 2nd and 20 or 2nd and 25 just because we could watch Josh sling it. Things have just been different, harder over the last season and a half or so.
  17. I think what would be great for him is to hire a coach he knows...maybe has even worked with before in different capacities...maybe with some experience...perhaps even Carolina ties...
  18. Haha what a **** this guy is, after all the things he said about Trump. Fell right back in line as most of us knew he would. I mean I'm not a Conservative or Republican and I think Trump is probably going to win. I don't think that's the delusional part of this. DeSantis's campaign was a failure though. He's very obviously now trying to get back in good with Trump to get his endorsement for '28 but I think that's going to go to Vivek. The Never Back Down stuff was all nonsense. As someone else said, dude is kissing the ring.
  19. Yup. This was a great opportunity. The field is most likely going to be tougher next season.
  20. So you think the Head Coach has no idea what the play design is on a fake punt, especially with that much on the line? He just told his ST coach - "Hey draw up a fake punt, I don't care what it looks like, but we're going to use it in a really critical spot in the game. Thanks." He's the HEAD coach. It's bad coaching whether he had no idea what the pay looked like or he did and still gave it the green light. And when there was confusion and Hamlin lined up directly behind the snapper and gave the whole thing away...yes, as a Head Coach, the guy with the power to call timeout...he should have. Also, if he gave that much unchecked power to a ST coach...what does that say when he's almost certainly about to fire that coach? He gave a coordinator who he knew was in over a head that much possible sway with the season on the line? How does any of this look good on McD?
