Because many don't. There are casual fans that may not know the rules. Also, there are PLAYERS that don't understand the rules. For example, there was a game quite a few years back where the Eagles and Bengals (I believe it was Cincinnati) played an overtime game that ended in a tie. Donovan McNabb at the end of overtime let the clock expire rather than try a Hail Mary. When questioned, he said he never heard of a game ending in a tie. Thought there would just be another OT period.

I agree. They did and they did better stopping him. But running it limits Kenny's mistakes, runs the clock, shortens the game...and Barkley can easily still slip through and break one. The Eagles will win this one but it should have been over long ago.

If the Eagles kept feeding Barkley this game wouldn't even be close. Letting Pickett throw this often late in a close game is coaching malpractice.

They had Mayo waiting in the wings for a while. There was no way they were passing him up for Vrabel. Now, Vrabel would make would make even less sense. They got rid of BB, but kept a lot of the Patriot Way intact. Makes no sense to me. I think if they move on from Mayo, they need to go in a different direction completely and build back up.
