  1. Luckily the McRib is back at participating McDonalds
  2. So he will NOT be joining Marino, Jerry Rice and Emmett Smith on the comeback circuit?
  3. I think the Rams have just enough on offense to make this a close game. Puka and Kupp are elite at eating against zone defense and YAC and are always annoyingly open. They have a running game in Williams that can move the chains. And Stafford is still a good QB at his age I really think this one could go either way. Rams-30 Bills-26
  4. Honestly, I've really enjoyed him in his media role this season. I think he's really good at it. As far as coaching, on the surface a step to college ranks seems like a step down. I can't see it.
  5. The "but a game in Buffalo" mystique is dead. Our season ended the last 2 years at home. I don't care that a game would be in Buffalo. And didn't we just lose last year to Sean Payton's Broncos in Buffalo? One thing to tuck away in mind if we do draw the Ravens. They are making the same mistakes with Henry that the Titans made year after year. He's already got about 250 touches with a rough few games to go. Come playoffs he should be somewhere in the 330-350 touch range. As we saw when he was in Tennessee, come playoffs, Henry can often be a non factor due to wear and tear during the year. And Lamar come playoffs has been shaky more times than not.
  6. Honestly, Denver is not a team I would take lightly. Their defense is extremely good. Defense travels well in any weather. Yes, a rookie QB, but they run the ball well and have a former Super Bowl winning coach to offset Nix's inexperience. They aren't likely to be an easy out for anyone.
  7. I agree with the sentiment and the bulk of what you say. The key still hinges on making the playoffs with a healthy roster. While I believe losing a lot of our old starters has made the team better, I also believe it's hurt the quality of the depth chart a tad. Our guys like Rapp, Edwards and Hamlin that otherwise would be plus backups are now starting and the guys that would be 3rd string are now 2nd team. Health will be a key deciding factor in how far this team can go.
  8. Weird because her and Poyer's brother took shots at the organization on the way out the door. Cracking jokes about the "culture" and how Beane is some dastardly evil guy behind closed doors. We made a big deal in the off-season about all the captains and "team leaders" we lost since last year. And this year the team is better. Perhaps that speaks to the actual "leadership" we were getting from guys like Diggs, Davis and Poyer. Addition by subtraction. Let's just hope if/when Poyer is available this off-season Beane keeps him, his Miko Grimes acting wife, and his Temu Jackson Mahomes brother far away from Buffalo
  9. Mic him up during the Jets game Cowards!!!
  10. Oh absolutely. As I stated above this defense needs to have all 11 on the same page. New faces lined up and you get communication breakdowns and uncertainty.
  11. Exactly. And with Baltimore, you hate to see it but you're talking about the absolute unicorn of RBs back there. Only way to keep him contained is all 11 players on defense have to be perfect on every snap. That's a lot to ask. Especially when keeping an eye on Lamar and the TEs and Flowers. No shame in getting run over by a likely top 5-10 all time back when all is said and done with his career.
  12. He will likely appeal and get a game or two shaved off. I'd bet only one as this isn't the first time he's been in trouble for latel hits
  13. Philosophy is one key. The Bills are ok with giving up some on the ground as long as everyone gets to where they should be and limits most plays. When they don't is where you see those long runs break out. They don't want to give up the big play in the pass game. They go smaller/quicker instead of bringing in guys that are thumpers against the run. Last time we had a true thumper LB I believe was Brandon Spikes. 2 down guy that comes out on 3rd and medium/long. If you want to stop the run you have to commit to it, which means different players and mindset. Oddly enough, once a team gets to the 5 yard line and closer...it SEEMS (no stats to back me up) that the run defense does a great job a lot of the time. Now if we could just stop all those 3rd and longs it would get us off the field and help the run D out as well
  14. Will be a tough challenge for the defense. Kupp and Puka are really good at finding soft spots in a zone defense and picking up YAC. Williams, their RB is pretty solid too.
  15. It sucks that happens. But also for the few times it has happened it gets blown way out of proportion. To listen to some people here you would think he does it every game.
  16. Bo Nix was factory made for Sean Payton's offense.
  17. Kind of tired of all the unwarranted hate Hamlin and to a lesser extent Rapp get around here. We got spoiled for years with Poyer and Hyde. And Rapp and Hamlin aren't as good as Poyer and Hyde were in their prime. I'll grant that But you know who else wasn't near as good? Poyer and Hyde last year. While Hamlin and Rapp are pretty close to "league average" level players they have been a step up from our safety play last year.
  18. Kid knocked over my $18 Labatts. What other option did I have? Kidding aside I could only find one source and I know nothing about "Essentially Sports" to know if it's credible. https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-active-news-bills-fan-pushes-recently-cancer-free-child-down-stairs-in-a-horrible-experience-during-niners-game/
  19. This is one of the big things to feel good about. For the first time in a while the AFC seems truly open. KC has lost a lot over the last few seasons. While they have remained good they aren't some unbeatable juggernaut. Pittsburgh/Baltimore/Chargers: all good physical teams that aren't going down easy but I feel we are better than all 3 right now. Miami/Cincinnati/Jets: All basically done for the year. Miami and the Jets have familiarity with us enough to cause a hiccup in the playoffs if they would have made it. And Cincinnati may have a bad defense this year...but we seem to struggle in the recent past with them. Houston doesn't stand a chance in Buffalo in a rematch of a game we should have won earlier in the season. They seem to have peaked.
  20. A few reasons. First off, the Jets will be trying to evaluate players for next year. Right now, I don't think Rodgers is a viable enough QB to do that with. Second, from a competitive standpoint, Rodgers is a sitting duck back behind a horrible line. Taylor has a bit more elusiveness. From a financial standpoint, why pay Rodgers more money for hitting contract incentives by playing half hearted football? Fans a media like the "Play out the string" theory. For players, they are auditioning for a new coach/GM in New Jersey or another team around the league. They want to play well and win and get good snaps on tape.
  21. Wrong LA team. We play the Rams next week. And they are softer than Puka's hair.
  22. I'll say he gets 4 games knowing he will likely appeal and it will be reduced to 2.
  23. My bet is in the next week or two Rodgers develops an "injury" and Taylor starts.
  24. I still chuckle when I remember that the Cleveland Browns had McDermott recommended to be the hire for their coaching vacancy...but Haslam overruled it and went with Hue Jackson instead. McDermott would have been the perfect hire to change the Factory of Sadness culture.
  25. No. TO still won't give them back. At this point we may just need to change the locks.
