When Stef was traded here, Josh contacted him rather quickly. It's been a few days and Stef has been in the building multiple times and Maye still hasn't reached out or met him. That's NOTHING like Josh.

I agree about 30. Better players to be had. At 62? Maybe. You can't teach speed and we could use a guy with elite speed. Even as a one trick pony I may be willing to roll the dice there and add an element that we have been missing. Between that and maybe he can be taught the KR game a bit he could have value.

It would. Maybe he's in the "Keon Coleman" package of this year's draft for the Bills where a slight trade back and they would pull the trigger top of second round? Or package the 2 2nds and jump up if he's there? I still think high second would be a bit rich for him, but if they are desperate enough....

I liked what I saw out of him in the preseason at CB enough to think he may be a player that has some area to grow and be a good CB in this defense. Douglas was great the season we traded for him. He was absolutely dreadful at times last year.

Honesty I would rather pick up an UDFA with some kind of physical traits than being Douglas back. He was a liability and then some. I would play Hardy over him. Cooper, I like him a lot as a player in the past. But I'm ready for getting younger and faster. I see us drafting a WR and giving Shavers a legit chance to make the 53.

Agree. I see Palmer taking over more of the role they hoped Cooper would fill. As the roster sits today, Shavers would be more in line to take over the Hollins role especially on STs. I expect more to be added, of course. I do think Bosa will be an impact player. He has a ONE year deal. It's a prove it year for him and he's acknowledged as much. He's going to be motivated to not only produce, but stay on the field through some of the nagging things he say out through in LA. Also, imagine going from playing in front of perhaps the most laid back fanbase in the NFL to our rabid pack of table smashing drunken idiot fanbase. Guy is gonna feed off our fans.

I think Dart is gone by their 2nd round pick. He's my bet for 3rd QB off the board. They would have to move up for him. Edit: I thought you meant Giants. If you meant Pittsburgh as per the quote you were referring to...I agree. That's a prime spot for Dart.

They may pass on QB round 1. Take someone who can basically red shirt this year and develop. Milroe would be my guess. No guarantee Arch even comes out next year.

It's not spectacular, but the Steelers did bring back Mason Rudolph. Rudolph closed the season as their starter 2 seasons ago and played pretty good ball for them. Made some more spot starts last year with the Titans. And is very well liked in the locker room. It isn't perfect, but that's the starter if Rodgers pulls a fast one and retired or signed with someone else. My opinion is they may actually be better off with Rudolph.

Yup. And with some deals they are done and not yet submitted to the league office yet either. For example, they may have already agreed to a pay cut with Samuel and are waiting to make it official. Beane tends to like to move up to the cap and then announce these things with other moves he makes so it doesn't look like he's flush with cash.

This is a good time to remind people that though SPOTRAC does an excellent job at keeping up to date, they are just saying what the contracts currently reflect. This number and the number the players union (which is normally closer to official number) are often off a bit Furthermore, Beane has a completely different number on his desk that reflects what he actually has to work with. He's talked about it before. I believe it's basically a chart with what moves still can be made of a move presents itself that makes sense. They can still make some moves.

For comparison, in 2016 Rich Eisen posted a 5.94 (his personal best) 40 time in his yearly "Run, Rich, Run". He was 47 years old at the time.

As I stated further up post from the comment you quoted me on....I'm in the camp that the Bills still need a WR and early. So on that we agree. I wouldn't say the "plan" is to go into next season with what we have. But plans this time of year go sideways quickly. Maybe they planned on getting Godwin or Adams and we're told "thanks but no thanks." Maybe they plan on drafting a WR early, but the draft falls a way that negates that. Point is stuff happens. In that scenario I could see a legitimate thought process that Palmer isn't the Hollins replacement. Palmer replaces Cooper. Shavers steps in for Hollins. And I think an argument could be had that a Palmer/Shavers combo upgrades Cooper/Hollins or at least breaks out the same. And then from there logic would dictate that at least one of the three things you mentioned (better health and improved play from Samuel, Coleman and Kincaid) is very possible. Not the dream scenario and not what I'm hoping for but whatever will be will be

He's stuck around longer than most would have thought. And on his lone touch last year he showed some really good burst popping off that 69 yard TD. I think he's ascending. For him he HAS to make an impact on STs to get the game day jersey. Everyone is forgetting about him but I think he carves out a role

He exceeded both those numbers (catches and yards) in 2022 in 16 games. In both 2023 and 2024 he was less than 100 yards away from hitting that mark despite missing 7 games one season and two the other. Which is why I said if healthy he can hit a 3/39 per game average. As a matter of fact when you take his career games played (58) and average out his numbers he has averaged 3.13 receptions for just over 39.4 yards per game. So factually, you are incorrect. He's literally attained those almost exact numbers over the course of his career. And a slight bump in production wouldn't be surprising to me.

I do agree with MANY here that the Bills should grab a WR early. I also think when the Bills grab a WR it will be later on then most (myself included) would want to unless one drops and is a great value pick. I'm actually thinking that we may have a WR that they feel can take over some of the Hollins role on STs. I think there's a good chance Shavers is given the opportunity to claim that role. He was billed as a good ST player coming out and he has some size. Not saying he will be a beast, but I wouldn't be shocked if he earns a jersey on game day next year

The catches and yards are easily attainable if healthy. That averages out to 3 catches for a shade under 39 yards per game. TDs I won't touch because those can be jumpy from year to year. So, yes, if healthy I could see him hitting those numbers.
