  1. This will help the D so much more than a LB. The addition of the CB helps as well. We will have all new pieces all over the D next year. But this is about contending this year. Jones was a huge loss and Joseph will help keep Oliver, the DE's and the LB clean.
  2. Most teams don't loss a star at each position on the D at the same time! You guys are a special kind of thick!
  3. Ok. But loss you Defensive QB in Malino, Your best CB in Tre, and the Jones, Anchor of the D, all at the same time. It is more than just losing one! Guess what none of their backups can replace the talent lost. Would be the same for 95% of the teams out there. I think losing Jones was the biggest hit to the D. And wish we traded for a DT as that is the more important piece to me. But I'm sure Beane tried to. Just couldn't find the deal. Hopefully we can bring in a FA that helps the rotation some.
  4. Nailed it! Some people can't help being pessimistic! It's their nature. McD has his issue as does Dorsey. He's still got 2x more wins than losses. Players need to execute as well. And during that 3 game span, not many were executing correctly. It's good that they seemed to be waking up. I'd rather things get going in the back half of this season and go with a head of steam into the playoffs. Still think we need to bring in a DT to replace Jones. It makes the rest of the D better if we had a good DT to pair with Oliver.
  5. Well then good play by the defender. Nevermind, I thought we were talking about the opening play INT to Knox.
  6. The closest was the Harty TD (I think that was the Giants game). But yes, not many gadget plays. Would like the jet sweep every so often with Harty. It's Dorsey, I have never seen so many plays were WR end up with in a yard of each other at the top of their routes. It's stupid and gives the D an advantage! Some of it was Shakir too, he ran his route too deep and that put the Defender in that spot. it should have been a shallow sideline route.
  7. The play calling is bad. McD gets conservative against bad teams. We need to be always looking to score! It's tough to sack a QB and not get ruffing calls. Phillips hand slid over the helmet. ***** happens. At least there was some hustle there. That said our biggest loss from injury is Jones. He's dominance with Oliver next to him made the back half much better. If we are trading for players, we need to address DT, LB, #2, CB.
  8. I was like did you say Davis do a juke move!
  9. Some would still find a way to complain! I don't care if it came down to the last play and we get luck! If we win the SB that is all that matters!
  10. AMEN Yes, but still rather play from a lead. It was so much execution in the 2nf half as it was coaching. It's odd that McD coaches more conservation against bad teams then good. If we are playing a good O, he goes for more of the 4th downs as way to keep up scoring. Last night he was relying on the D, which played much better than Sunday, but is missing important pieces.
  11. Fritz is a fan. He is echoing what we are saying. I don't see much difference in Dorsey from Daboll. Other than the weird routes where receivers are ending up next to each other. The biggest flaw is the both try to make the wrong play work and the wrong time. They out smart themselves. And honestly If I was Josh, I would check out of those plays.
  12. It was awful! You could call that on any given play! They were grabbing Diggs all the way down the field and we didn't get a call. Johson had a push at the line and then just covered. It was in no way illegal contact!
  13. I see it as DT, LB, WR, CB. Jones is the biggest loss. Shore that up and the back half looks better.
  14. Week 1 was still the same problem. He forced the ball instead of taking off!
  15. Fixing the O is simple, Stay out of Allen's head! Tell him to ignore the no running crap and play his game. O is fixed!
  16. If that's true trade him for a 2028 7th and be done with him.
  17. The O problem is a simple fix. Tell Josh to play his way and to ignore the no running crap.
  18. Beane is only going to be a buyer at the right price. But if we want a serious sb run, We need a DT to replace Jones, a LB to replace Milano, #2 WR, a CB, and get Henry for the fun of it! Maybe one of those things happens. DT is the biggest issue in my opinion.
  19. Maybe if the coaches didn't neuter him! FREE JOSH!
  20. I'd go 50/50 right now. Doresy needs to be better. Execution must get better! The biggest problem on the O is between Allen's ears. But that is the coach's fault for trying to force him to be a strictly pocket passer!
  21. It is the most frustrating thing in his play design. Why would this be beneficial in any way! Like the few times a ball is tipped?! It only helps the D.
  22. I see the needs as DT, LB, #2, WR
  23. That may be valid. So, Dorsey and the O need to say F-that and play hard, inspired football anyway. Yes! We need help on D because of the injuries. Needs are DT, LB, CB in that order.
  24. Like looking unstoppable at the start of last year. To looking bad at times afterwards (although Allen's injury had caused most of this). This year it went Bad, not in rhythm, Hot and on point, To Aweful, unfocused, no rhythm. I think alot of it is the push to make Allen a pocket passer. To much getting in his head from coaches. Also we need a #2. And open up Kincaids routes! I'd like to see more of Shakir and Sherrfield than Gabe at this point. Not all of course. But he does dictate the ebbs and flows of the O. Starting out with a pick when he didn't even see the defender does not help. But Knox would have probably dropped it anyway had it got there.
  25. French was saying not punting doesn't mean the offense was good. And was agreeing with your point that just like the 49ers let a bad team hang around by not being productive early.
