  1. I thought there was some potential to be a Trubisky like reverse in the upward progress Allen made last year. (wrong of course)
  2. I joined this board, after the trade that allowed KC to select Patrick Mahomes and have stuck around the last few years to see how things played out. I hung out here, speculating about all the 2018 QB's, the draft manuvering, and watched you guys all debate and discuss who you wanted the Bills to take. .....when the Bills took Allen.....I came here and put in my 2 cents. I did NOT think Allen would make it as an NFL QB. I was on the side of the debate that said, his completion pct is who he is, and who he's going to be. I didn't think he could improve enough to be much more than an enticiing novelty. I posted that opinion here numerous times. I am here today to tell you.....to admit....the I was WRONG. While I've always enjoyed watching Allen play, I'd always thought he'd ultimately be a flash in the pan in the big picture as time wore on. He's not. He's legit. He's taken a big leap each season he's been in the NFL. It's a credit to him, and especially to your coaching staff for identifying the talent, and the potential, and then actually getting Allen to progress. I want to thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your community and give my opinion. I have enjoyed it, and will continue to pop in from time to time. I'm sure I'll be around when KC plays the Bills...that should be fun. Anyhow....one more time.... I WAS WRONG ABOUT JOSH ALLEN. I'll be having that crow now.
  3. we had a horrible game VS Detroit week 3 last year where we played soft, looked bad, and then won at the end.....because Mahomes.
  4. Josh Fumbles two times fish are better than you think hard to win down south
  5. The forumla that was a winner for decades is still a winner if they'd just go back to it.....make it about the game....and put some announcers in that are about the game. NFL football sells itself if you just let it. Even to casual fans or peole who don't understand the rules...you dont need to pander to them....they'll watch becasue everyone else is....
  6. I went Bucs...I think simply having Brady not turn the ball over will be enough to win alot of games. The Bucs D is legit.
  7. I think it's the Cowboys easy. Dallas had some crazy stats that usually translate to alot more wins. Their season was an outlier last year. I think having McCarthy as HC will help....he has some SB ring cred at least and that counts for a little something.
  8. As a life long Missouri fan, Lock was fun to watch in college. He has charisma, he has a big arm. He moves fairly well. He started 4 years in college and some of the flaws he had then, he still has now, and he's always going to have them. In alot of ways, he's comparable to Allen...EXCEPT, Lock played with good coaching at top schools his whole life. So with Allen, theres always been this idea that there was alot of room for improvement....with Lock, I don't know how much more he can improve at this point... the main flaw Lock has, is that he sucks at timing routes. .....so for example....if the route is 10 yards then a sharp cut out, with the idea the ball should arrive just as the target is making the cut.....lock won't/can't do it. He will hold that ball until AFTER the target has made that cut and taken a step or 2, negating the advantage gained by the cutting target....allows the defender to recover, and contest the throw, or make a quick tackle, negating YAC. Lock throws a gorgeous deep ball, that is usually very accurate...and he'll throw that well, even to covered targets.. I think you'll see defenses keep the middle of the field covered and force him to throw outside the numbers...once he has to do this, he is ineffective and very turnover prone. He also has a GLARING tendancy to roll to the right....so again....he has some easy to detect and defend flaws....that will limit him and the offense. If we were to overcome these....he has top 10 physical tools. I don't think he can..he's had years to get this right and still hasn't. I was personaly in attendance during his senior year at a game MU vs Kentucky. UK locked up teh middle of the feild...made him throw outside....and Missouri and Lock produced 8 consecutive 3 and outs to finish out the game. We'll see..but I'm guessing Lock is one of these guys you'll see the talent and then wonder why the Broncos aren't better....he's an enigma. Good enough to win with...will cost his team a game or 2 or 3 on his own...and probably won't carry his team any wins on his own.
  9. i'm a Blues fan....thanks for Ryan O'Rielly. is it a money leauge? I'm interested if it is.

  11. As far as Diggs goes....that should help. Diggs is a good player. I've heard Zack Moss is good. There is alot to like about the Bills and all the arguments people are making for 11-12 wins are legit. They are well within the realm of plausability. I don't like the schedule though...the Bills may well be a better team this year but the record might not reflect that due to schedule. I do agree the Bills are one of just small handfull of teams that are legit to possibly win the AFC. I'm looking forward to that week 5 game in your place. KC traditionally doesn't win up there.
  12. I know, I know....the trolling Chiefs fan is here to piss on the Bills corn flakes again......I agree with Gregg TX here.....I have the Bills going about 8-8. the schedule is rough. I also think Miami, is going to get it together pretty quick and be a tough out. To me, this season comes down to how efficient Allen is. You guys have got to get 6's in the red zone and you need more drives extended when it's 3rd down than you've had in the past. That's Allen. I hope Diggs is a difference maker in this department. I think one thing we can all agree on is that the Jets suck.
  13. i know it's a bills board.....but looking forward to Willie Gay Jr replacing Reggie Ragland....that should be an upgrade.
  14. Knowing Mahomes cap hits are certain now, allows KC to know what they can do with the Cap for Jones. The extension they signed with Mahomes COULD have voided out years remaining (they didn't in this case) etc etc... IF KC gets a deal with Jones done, it's going to be heavily backloaded with small base salaries this year and next....after that thye won't have to squeeze so hard.
  15. From day 1, that WAS my purpose to come here. In the process, I've ended up liking the community. I don't hate the Bills...I hate the Broncos. I root for Buffalo when they aren't playing KC....and just because I doubt Josh Allen doesn't mean I don't like watching him....he's exciting as hell! I've been rooting for him to prove my doubts wrong since you drafted him. (just like many fans here) I understand how I come off as a condescending jerk based on how I came to find the this place and my early times here... but I don't plan to go away....I don't post all that often now as it is....looking forward to the season...hope we have one...the KC/Buffalo game in your crib should be a good one. I'll be here to talk about, like it or not.
  16. Funny you should mention Tannehill.....over the next 4 years, Ryan Tannehill will make more money than Patrick Mahomes. Um....they are bringing back 20 of 22 starters from last years team...One of the starters being replaced is Reggie Ragland....with 2nd Round pick Willie Gay Jr. (first round talent, slipped in draft for knocking out his own QB) And we added Clyde Edwards Hellaire. ....also....SEE ABOVE....Mahomes costs LESS THAN RYAN TANNEHILL for the next 4 seasons. And....the core is signed through 2021 by the way. Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Fisher, Schwartz, CEH, Honey Badger, Frank Clark, Thornhill, Butker....we are locked and loaded for a good run.
  17. .....And it's FATASS By a nose!
  18. It's simple. If you think he's a super bowl QB, you sign him. If you don't, then you don't pay him at all and move on.
  19. @Yav hates Kansas City and Kansas City fans.....At some point I think he lived in KC and had a bad time.
  20. I know I'm making this seem simpler than it is. I think Buffalo has handled it better than most in the past couple years...you tried Manual...he didn't work out. you tried Tyrod....he was ok. Now you are on Josh Allen....I think a top 10 type QB is the best shot at finding a guy, but you should always look....FA, diamond in the rough CFL guys, you try until you find a guy. but you gotta find the guy somewhere. I don't have the answers...and not all 32 teams can win or find the guy....it's hard......all I am saying is actively searchign out the right guy is better than paying top dollar for someone who isn't the guy. They are already under contract. Hill is in for the next 3 years...he signed an extension last year. Kelce has another year after this one under contract. We're good to go. They guy has a QBR of 99.9 on third and 15 or more, the rest of the leauge has a QBR of 4.6 in that same situaiton. Mahomes is good.
  21. When do you pay a guy like a top tier QB? The point is if you don't have a top tier QB..... 1. you shouldn't pay a guy like a top tier guy who isn't one. 2. you need a top tier guy.
  22. Of course......but the point is do you pay Kirk Cousins a ton of money to be Kirk Cousins or do you keep drafting and trying QB's until you find one?
  23. ......which is my point. Is your point that teams just stick with a Tyrod Taylor type QB because he's decent or an Andy Dalton type? Should Joe Flacco make a bazillion dollars? Kirk Cousins? Or do you "take a chance" and try and improve?
