  1. UGH! Well....crap. Just put a Blank in for the Bears...they'll screw up whoever it is anyhow. Ok...it's fixed...I didn't move Rashawn Slater over to the Chargers when I did this....edited correctly now. Slater to Chargers at 13.
  2. ZEROVOLTZ Mock draft 3.1 Alot of same picks..but quite a few changes.....complete 2 rounds.....still a theme of teams putting off OT until later to get one because they are plentiful. I have the Bills TRADING UP this time....(can't make everyone happy so I suppose this will be almost as unpopular as the trade down I had last time.) KC gets O line help....Parsons falls. Denver and Pittsburg have things fall well. As does Miami. And...big changes at QB from the last one. I can't stand that I still am not sure who the 49ers are taking. 1. Jaguars. QB Trevor Lawrence No explanation really needed here. The Jags are taking Lawrence and the second they controlled this pick, he was it. They have sold a ton of season tickets based on the idea this is the pick. It's a lock. 2. Jets. QB Zach Wilson The Jets have zeroed in on Wilson...it's been a foregone conclusion for a while now that he is the pick here. 3. 49ers. QB Trey Lance This is the most frustrating pick to mock in this whole draft...and here is the first change from my prior mock. The 49ers paid a big price to come up here....they have Jimmy G for this year....giving them a full season to develop Lance. The FO and coaching staff has the credibility and time to see this through. If Lance is who they think he is, then what a pick.....I think in a way, Josh Allen successfully being developed by the Bills, has given some teams the courage to take a very gifted by raw guy and given time and continutiy....something SF has.....then good things can happen. Lance is now my pick here. 4. Falcons. TE Kyle Pitts I DO NOT believe the Falcons are in the QB market....and despite alot of hype, I don't think Mac Jones or Trey Lance are the kind of prospects a team moves up to 4 to get. The Falcons restructured Ryan and he still has alot of good football left...they stil have Julio and Ridley....I just don't see this as a team that is at the point where you tear it down. Pitts looks like the kind of TE that makes a difference. It's traditionally kind of high for a TE, but he's the rare freak of nature prospect you can take here. I thin the Falcons could be persuaded to move off this spot, but I don't think any team will make the offer it would take. 5. Bengals. WR Ja'Marr Chase Many mocks have Penei Sewell here. That's understandable. Here is my logic here. Chase is a major WR prospect. They need to replace AJ Greens 110 targets. Chase has a relationship with Burrow.....AND.....this is the kicker....this is one of the deepest OT drafts to come along in a very long time. There will be some starting caliber OT availbe in round 2. There is NOT a Chase level WR to be had in round 2....this is a deep WR draft class...but a good many of them are slot types. The Bengals opt for the weapon and will wait to address O line later. 6. Dolphins. WR Jaylen Waddle The Dolphins would be good with Pitts, Waddle, Chase, or Smith here. Chase and Pitts are gone...so the pick here is Waddle...the guy with the juice. He's not big but super fast...dynamic playmaker....the kind of guy who can take a short TUA pass and make soemthing of it. Tua was 31 out of 31 qualifying QB's in accuracy on intermediate passes....this guy is able to help at what TUA does better...short stuff. 7. Lions. QB Justin Fields I had the Lions going with Sewell in my prior Mock. Fields seems like a more ready prospect than Lance...and while they have Goff and are paying him handsomely....and the GM who is in Detroit is the guy who drafted Goff in LA.....there is never going to be a better time than now for the new regime in Detroit to draft a QB....now is the honeymoon period for the coach and GM....and you use that capital while you have it. Fields shouldn't require a ton of bench time before you get him on the field....worst case is he pushes Goff to be better. 8. Panthers. OT Penei Sewell Many people are thinking this is a spot ideal for a team looking to trade up for a QB. I think the Panthers do take some phone calls here and give strong consideration to trading out of this spot, but decide to stay and select Sewell...a big need. 9. Broncos. CB Jaycee Horn There are a good number of national media projecting Denver to trade up or stay at 9 and take a QB. They are NOT. Denver brought in a new GM, but retained the current coaching staff, giving them essentially an ultimatum to win now. The new GM would likely not want to draft a QB at 9, that his win now coaching staff won't want anything to do with. The current staff isn't exactly ideal for developing a QB even if they were inclined to do so..Vic Fangio is a d minded HC...when he was hired the Broncos, at Fangios urging, signed Joe Flacco...he wanted a vet QB that could run their PA attack....Drew Lock was an afterthought....now in a win now year, Fangio will roll with Lock, and they will draft a win now player. If Parsons didn't have the red flag charachter issues...I think they might go with him...but CB is a need as they have guys on one year contracts and you can't have enough good CB's as it is. Between Horn and Surtain....Horn is the better ZONE player...and that is what Fangio runs. 10. Cowboys CB Patrick Surtain II One of the easiest matches to figure here...the Cowboys have a need at CB..they like Surtain... 11. Giants EDGE Jaelan Phillips Dave Gettleman is an old school kind of guy who likes linemen. The Giants pass rush sucked last year. Phillips is a guy that can come in and start, and possibly be that missing piece the Giants covet. 12. Eagles. WR DeVonta Smith Similar to the Cowboys....Eagles have a big need....and Smith is here....no need to over think it. 13. Chargers. OT Rashawn Slater Chargers add Slater here to protect Herbert....may project to Interor of line..but Chargers need help everywhere anyhow...should be starting LT though. 14. Vikings, IOL Alijah Vera-Tucker Again....what might be considered a prime spot to get ahead of New England for a QB....no takers. The Vikings would probably have prefered an OT here....and would consider Jenkins, but go instead with the bigger need and bonafide interior lineman. 15. New England LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah With Mac Jones still on the board, the Patriots pass and instead draft the guy who they wanted all along. Belichick is too old for a QB/rebuild...that's why they went on a shopping spree....he isn't going to be around for another 10 years...Bill is trying to win NOW before he rides off into the sunset. 16. Cardinals CB Caleb Farley With the departure of Patrick Petersen...and no other real stars or players on the roster to replace him...the Cardinals take Caleb Farley here....despie the injury concerns....a top 10 talent otherwise. 17. Radiers OL Teven Jenkins The Raiders are a hot mess....and more than any other spot...they need O linemen...Jenkins played all over the line except C....he'll start somewhere on the the Radiers line immedeately. 18. Dolphins EDGE Azeez Ojulari The Dolphins just continue to add high end players with all their AMMO....and Ojulari is another one....and again...there is always a need for edge rushers.... 19. WFT QB Mac Jones WFT adds Jones here without having to make a move. They have Fitzmagic to run it until they decide Mac is ready. This is the defining pick for Rivera...this works and he is a long time WFT coach...it doesn't and they move on from eveyrone....AGAIN. 20. Bears. OT Christian Darrisaw The Bears have QB problems...but they aren't solving them here...and they weren't expending any extra draft capital to move up for Jones...the regime needs to win now....and fixing the O line now is a step in that direction. 21. Colts. CB Craig Newsome The colts could go with an interior D lineman here....or an OT...but this is a horrible DT class and they can wait and still get a good OT...so they take Newsome here to fill another important need. 22. Titans. WR Kadarius Toney The need at WR is obvious, but I think some will be surprised that Toney is the pick here....the media isn't high enough on Toney...a track star...he can stretch a defense...and can be effectively deployed on sweeps and reverses, shuttle passes etc. The most dynamic weapon of the options here. 23. Jets. RB Travis Ettiene The Jets could go a number of directions here...but opt for a weapon that is multi dimensional out of the backfield....wouldn't be surprising if the Jets considered a DB here...but ultimately, they will rely on new Coach Selah to shape up the D, and will get the new QB and offense some weapons I think. 24. *****TRADE****** The Bills move up from 30 to select LB Zaven Collins From reading TWOBILLSDRIVE....I see a number of you all are concerned about LB, and you need one that can do it all...espeically cover and be a threat to blitz...a true 3 down player. I have the Bill moving up because there are some teams I believe also looking at LB...and there was no guarantee the Bills get Collins at 30. I think the Steelers are zeroed in on a Center and can still get their man at 30 (just ahead of KC) 25. Jaguars S Travis Meohrig Not much to say here other than....Jags have needs in their defensive backfield and Moerhig is a fit. RT is a need, but once again....beign a deep draft at OT, a RT can be found later. 26. Browns EDGE Kity Paye Cleveland is delighted to get Paye here....they are stacking up alot of talent on the defense. They need pass rush help beyond Myles Garrett 27. Ravens. EDGE Jason Oweh The Ravens lost Matt Judon and NEED pass rushers in the worst way...the go with Oweh here....the man with no sacks..but the physical traits that say he should.... 28. Saints. CB Eric Stokes Big need....and Stokes fits. Being cap strapped as they are....Saints could use some other help at WR, and maybe Edge or LB...but biggest need is at CB. 29. Packers. IDL Christian Barmore Packers have a need at OT and WR...but at this Point, Barmore....still being a need....is too much value on the GB board to pass up....and they'll get a Tackle later in this deep tackle draft. 30 ***TRADE*** Steelers...moved back from 24....still get their man here.... C Landon Dickerson So many mocks have the Steelers taking a RB at 24.....that seems like the worst thing they could do considering their needs.....this seems much more fitting to what they need and they add some draft capital while filling their biggest need. 31 ***TRADE*** Miami Dolphins move up to take LB Micah Parsons The slide finaly ends for Parsons here. Too good to wait for the Dolphins make the move up from 36 to ensure they get their replacement for Van Noy. The red flags are substantial but so is the talent. 32. Buccs EDGE Gregory Rousseau the Buccs are pretty loaded.....and have the luxury of going for something of a luxury...another pass rusher. ROUND 2 33. Jags WR Terrace Marshall Talented WR.....Jags loading up for Lawrence. 34. Jets EDGE Carlos Basham Big active DE for the 4-3 scheme Saleh will run....can move inside on passing downs as a rusher. 35. Falcons EDGE Joe Tryon The Falcons need pass rush help...and lately this guy has been rumored to be high on teams boards...best fit is as OLB in 3-4 scheme *** TRADE *** Chiefs OT Samuel Cosmi KC didn't like the board at 31....pick up some more ammo and drop back to 36....still get a targetd player in Cosmi.....SUPER GREAT athlete that needs quite a bit of work on his techniqe....won alot at OT on sheer athleticism alone. 37. ******TRADE****** The Detroit Lions move up to get in front of the Bengals to select OT Liam Eichenberg Fills a hole for the Lions...gives them a technically solid player that fits their tough guy lunch pail and go to work type of dude that will eat some kneecaps! 38. Bengals Alex Leatherwood Oline Leatherwood played OT in college, but projects more as a guard...but can play OT.....this is fine for Cincy, they need help all along the line...he'll fit in somewhere and start. Bengals took Chase in round 1, and land a starting caliber OT here in round 2. 39. Panthers WR Elijah Moore The Panters let Samuel Curtis walk this offseason...and do have a need at WR... 40. Broncos LB Jamin Davis I hate the Broncos...but this mock draft is working out good for them...they get the LB they need to tie that Fangio D together. 41. Detroit. WR Rashad Bateman. Some have him going in the 20's ......either way Detroit gets a quality WR....a need....for a roster that has alot of needs. 42. Giants CB Kelvin Joseph Just filling needs here.... 43 SF OG Wyatt Davis 44. DALLAS EDGE Ronnie Perkins Dallas gets a guy with some juice for the edge after moving on from Aldon Smith 45. JAX OT Dillon Radunz CAn paly RT now....could replace Cam Robinson next year as he was franchised. 46. WR Rondale Moore Pats get a speed guy to send deep after pounding and pounding with double TE sets and CAM newton options. 47. Chargers EDGE Payton Turner Ingram left in FA...this is his replacement as they singed no FA there. 48. Raiders. C Creed Humphry The raiders need A LOT. Here, they get to use a 2nd round pick at a position whree they had an All - pro who they had to move on from becauase he was pissed off. This is how the Raiders opperate. 49. Cardinals LB Nick Bolton Reddicks replacement. 50. Dolphins. RB Najee Harris Phins can't believe their luck...get 1st round rated RB at 50.... 51. WFT OT Brady Christiansen OT for MAC JONES 52. Chicago CB Aaron Robinson Just filling in needs here with BPA 53. Titans EDGE Joesph Ossai Few teams need pass rush talent as badly as the Titans do. They try here with Ossai. 54. Colts WR Dayami Brown Could go with any number of WR but gave them brown becaue they like guys who can block in the run game. 55. Steelers Being patient pays off...they got their C..now get the do it all RB they NEED 56. **** TRADE ***** Chiefs move up here to get in front of the RAMS for .... C Creed Humphry KC rebuilds line with 1st 2 picks in this draft. 57. Rams LB Jabril Cox Rams don't have much draft capital this year....try and make it count with LB that does alot. 58. Ravens S Jevon Holland versatile S...can cover slot...and move around....fits B'more scheme well..and fills need 59. Browns WR Amari Rodgers Don't know what Beckahm has left or what he even cares about.... 60. Saints S Jaymar Johnson Saints have lots of roster spots to fill with cheap rookies.... 61. BILLS EDGE/IDL Milton Williams Williams is a big guy at 6'4 284. He played mostly the 5 tech in college but also lined up in the interior some. Ideally, plays end and then rotates inside on obvious passing downs....a pass rush option for the Bills here that should also be an everdown run defender....very athletico for his size.... 62. Packers OT Jalen Mayfield Packers patiently wait for OT and get one here 63. ***TRADE*** Seattle moved back and pick up CB Asante Samuel Filling the roster with a need...and picking up badly needed extra ammo. 64. Buccs IOL Quentin Minerz Last pick in round 2...buccs get a guy that was small school good....can play along interior.
  3. It's changing in my new one...should be up in a few minutes.
  4. I said I'd probably do just the one Mock....but the tea leaves have been blowing around in the wind and some of them landed in different spots as of late...so I'm doing another Mock.....Look for it later on this evening.
  5. Yolo posted the Shanahan quote there...that makes me think it must be Fields (no one trades that kind of draft capital for a TE by the way) Fields is big and strong from the pocket...he isn't a run first QB, but he can move if he needs to...that's alot like Rodgers and Allen and Mahomes. Also....I have been arguing a long time with Broncos fans about Drew Lock being pretty much a fully developed prospect at this point because he was a 4 year starter in college and has started 18 NFL games....he's had a LOT of pass attempts and by now, any flaws, etc...should have been fixed...and however you learn to make reads and all that.... Here is a chart I made showing some QB's and how many COMBINED college and pro pass attempts they've had as of today. The point is to demonstrate that at some point you can say a QB is who he is going to be. Total PRO and COLLEGE pass attempts combined. Daniel Jones 2182 DREW LOCK 2152 Mitch Trubisky 2149 Sam Darnold 2065 Lamar Jackson 2033 Josh Allen 2002 Justin Herbert 1888 so, as this applies to the college guys.....another reason why I think this is Fields College pass attempts Fields 618 Mac 556 Lance 288 If you are taking Lance...he started ONE season of HS...and ONE season at NDSU. That's putting A TON of faith that you've seen enough reps to think you know what you've got....and maybe he does go on to great things..but that's not a big sample size. Fields has a larger sample...of playing very well against higher level competiton..and he has good traits... Jones has good numbers but he isn't that mobile and his arm is good but not great....mabye he is a good NFL QB....I don't know that he will or won't be...but given these 3 as my choices..I take Fields.
  6. I like Michael Strachan.....D-2 Charleston WR 6'5 Born in the Bahamas...so hasn't played alot of football....one of the things I want to see about an athlete like him playing D-2 is that he dominated lesser competition..and he did. big catch radius....can high point....does a good job of getting under deep throws.... ....as you can see in the highlights...he dominated a bunch of smurf corners...so I would imagine he'd need some time to develop and get used to much more sizable dudes covering him...but you asked for a sleeper...this is a sleeper.
  7. I thought I had explained the reasoning in my original thread... 1. I think when pick 30 comes about, the Bills won't have anyone on their board ranked that high. 2. I don't think drafting RB in the last 2 years means anything since it remains an area of concern. It seems an upgrade would help alot. 3. Williams is a 3 down RB...and I stressed his pass blocking. I wouldn't be suggesting the Bills draft a RB for no reason...I think this player is a substantially better optoin than what you have on your roster now...otherwise, what's the point? I can make a strong case that the Bills won't draft a RB at 30 or trade back and draft one....It's not hard to argue that they take an edge or a CB...and anyone that would say as much would have a valid point....I think the leauge is an offense leauge..the Bills have a good offense, but one diminsional...I think the right RB kicks it up a notch...that's my reasoning. So...this is a great learning experience for me.....I had percieve the Bills to be pretty much set at LB...with Milano and Edmunds....am I missing something?
  8. I was wondering when someone might ask that...YES....the Bills could use one of those....I think Perkins is a guy that teams are going to have wide ranging rankings on. I even question the pick there for KC....KC needs an edge...but not nearly as bad as OT....so for KC to go edge there....it's a gamble they get their guy at OT later... I wouldn't be surprised if KC were to go Cosmi at 30 if he's there. He won't last to the Chiefs next pick. I also wouldn't be completely surprised if KC did go edge or WR in round 1 and then trade up in round 2 for an OT .....I think KC probalby has Walker Little high on their board and would roll the dice at 1, and try and figure where they could snag Little after that. If the Bills do like Perkins...then YES...they would and should make that pick at 30...and it's entirely possible that is the pick...Personally, if I am the Bills...Perkins is my choice at 30. I tried to do this the way I thought Beene might do it.....and to me...he seems like a trade out of 1 type of guy to get more picks.
  9. The Bills could do a number of things with their pick...or even Pick 40 or so, if they move back....they have options..... I only went with J wIlliams because IMO.....even if he isn't the fastest etc...he has been very productive...and he is a very good pass blocker....I think the pass blocking aspect is huge...also....I think at times we all put too much of a premium on speed at RB....can the guy make people miss? is he strong and breaks tackles? When KC drafted Karreem Hunt...he was far from the fastest...but he had super high grades on breaking tackles and being pretty nimble for a man his size....and he was a willing blocker.....I can see Williams fitting the job the Bills need a RB to do. And again....they can go any number of ways and get a contributor right away....
  10. Would you care to make a friendly wager on this? I will bet the Falcons keep the pick and take Pitts.
  11. ZEROVOLTZ Mock draft 3.0 ....you might ask how this could be 3.0 if this is the first one I've posted......the answer is, this is my 3rd complete from scratch one that I've done...and for me to keep straight what I posted, it's 3.0 even though its the first and probalby only one I'll post here. Thanks Gunner for letting me use this space to post. I look forward to the comments....etc.... I think you'll find this mock to be a bit on the wild side...I believe the media doesn't have a good grasp of this draft at all....explanations with each pick.....I got through pick 40.....for a reason. Some highlights. Parsons falls. The 4th and 5ht Qb's aren't as hot as many think. Teams put off OT because they can get one later. ...and as you'll see the Bills trade back. 1. 3. 49ers. QB Justin Fields In my other mock drafts I at first had Mac Jones here...but within a very short time I had changed my thinking to Fields.....SF didn't expend this much draft capital for A) an immobile, bland, system qB in Jones....and I also doubt they spent it for a quantity as random and unkown as Lance. Fields is the embodiment of the most recent stars....QB's who are pass first, big armed, good from the pocket first types, but who CAN run. Think Mahomes, Allen, Rogers....Shanahan has hinted this is the type of QB he'd prefer in the past. 4. 5. Bengals. Tua was 31 out of 31 qualifying QB's in accuracy on intermediate passes....this guy is able to help at what TUA does better...short stuff. 7. Lions. OT Penei Sewell Even though I believe the Lions could use a QB here, like Lance, who they'd have time to develop...the new GM is the guy who drafted Goff...and the new coach is a culture change guy and he wasts the Lions to be tough SOBs. Sewell fits that mold....and fills a need. 8. Panthers. OT Rashawn Slater Many people are thinking this is a spot ideal for a team looking to trade up for a QB. I continue to beleive that after the top 3 QB's are off the board....Mac Jones and Lance...aren't as well regarded by teams as they are by the media....and the Panthers got their QB...for now as well....they have a glaring hole at OT. No trade partner...they go OT. 9. Phillips is a guy that can come in and start, and possibly be that missing piece the Giants covet. 12. Eagles. WR DeVonta Smith Similar to the Cowboys....Eagles have a big need....and Smith is here....no need to over think it. 13. Chargers. OT Christian Darrisaw The Chargers are going to do all they can in this draft to build a wall in front of Justin Herbert....Darrisaw is the protypical LT they are looking for of the guys remaining...some are higher on Teven Jenkins....Darrisaw is the better bet to be successful as a LT. 14. Vikings, IOL Alijah Vera-Tucker Again....what might be considered a prime spot to get ahead of New England for a QB....no takers. The Vikings would probably have prefered an OT here....and would consider Jenkins, but go instead with the bigger need and bonafide interior lineman. 15. ***TRADE*** Washington FT QB Trey Lance In a surprise move, the Patriots....thought to be looking for a QB...trade back to 19 and the FT comes up to get their QBOTF in Lance. Football team wanted to insure they got ahead of the Bears here. 16. Cardinals CB Greg Newsome II With the departure of Patrick Petersen...and no other real stars or players on the roster to replace him...the Cardinals take Greg Newsome here..... 19. *** TRADE *** Patriots moved back from 15 with WFT. Patroit select... LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Belichick just turned 69 years old. I am inclined to believe that he isn't interested in trying to develop a young QB at this point. They loaded up the roster to run a double TE, power run, RPO type offense with Cam. Belichick adds some draft capital and still gets the guy he's wanted all along. 20. Bears. QB Mac Jones Somehow, Ryan Pace and Nagy still have jobs. They apparently are going to be given another shot at finding a QB.....Mac Jones does have alot of the traits the Bears are looking for in a QB....and while there are other needs.....the staff knows without a QB they are toast...Jones represents their only chance at redemption. 21. Colts. IDL Christian Barmore The Colts have a need at DL....and while I don't like drafting for need....this is a week IDL class, and Barmore is the cream of a weak crop. The Colts need a low lost answer here....and Barmore is it. They do have a big need at OT as well...but again, as suggest earlier....this is a deep OT draft...the Colts will find one later. 22. 24. Steelers CB Caleb Farley The Steelers spring to the table to draft Farley...a big, physical, do it all, ball skills, whole package CB...they like....injury red flag allows this guy to fall here and the Steelers are more than happy to take the risk. Something of note...they need OT here pretty bad....even IOL....but the Steelers historically just don't spend high draft pickst on OT....and rarely on IOL. That continues here. 25. 29. Packers. OT Liam Eichenberg. Packers have a need at OT....Eichenberg is a very Packers esque lineman....not the most impressive or imposing physical specimen....he is technically sound...and not prone to mistakes....very refined. smart. Not going to be much help for a team that runs screens etc...but the Packers aren't that kind of team. He can play left or right.... 30 BUFFALO BILLS ***TRADE*** .....the Denver Broncos Move up here to select.... LB Zaven Collins. The Broncos need a dynamic, do it all LB to really finish off their D. They considered it way up at pick 9...but opted for a more surefire player in Horn. Now they get their LB. The broncos are in win now mode and they are loading up. The Bills pick up some capital to move out of 30....I believe the players who will remain on the board at 40, suite the Bills well...and at better value than here at 30. 31. Chiefs EDGE Ronnie Perkins Most mocks have KC going with an OT here...some I have seen have Eichenberg...some with Leatherwood (not a fit) and I have seen some with KC taking an edge...Jason Oweh usually...but I have him already taken in this mock. I think Perkins is a guy the media isn't up to speed on and that pro teams have him ranked higher than media does. The Chiefs get a guy big enough to play on the edge, but who will need to learn gap discipline.....beyond that..he's got juice and high motor to get after the QB and wreck the backfield. 32. Buccs EDGE Gregory Rousseau the Buccs are pretty loaded.....and have the luxury of going for something of a luxury...another pass rusher. ROUND 2 33. Jags WR Terrace Marshall Talented WR.....Jags loading up for Lawrence. 34. Jets LB Micah Parsons Finally, Parsons goes after a big fall....the Jets will gamble that HC Saleh and staff can keep Parsons out of trouble and help him grow up. He's a major talent....lack of experience in coverage also a reason for this drop. 35. Falcons LB Jamin Davis Maybe not at the top of the list of needs, but Davis too good to pass here....dynamic do it all LB. 36. Dolphins RB Najee Harris Loading up on yet more of the Alabama offense.....RB here for the Dolphins...amazing the roster they've turned over in the past couple years. 37. Eagles LB Nick Bolton Dynamic LB are having a run here at the top of round 2. 38. Bengals OT Samuel Cosmi Bengals took Chase in round 1, and land a starting caliber OT here in round 2. 39. Panthers WR Rashod Bateman The Panters let Samuel Curtis walk this offseason...and do have a need at WR...they are stoked when Batemen falls to them here. 40 ***BUFFALO BILLS*** Having traded back with Denver...the Bills select RB Javonte Williams. Hear me out Bills fans....Williams is a physical back....who is a 3 down player....who excells in pass protection....and is known for broken tackles....he reminds me a ton of Steven Jackson. He could do A LOT...to help the Bills already high powered offense...be less one dimensional, and give them a guy that stays on the field all 3 downs, that does it ALL. I could not think of a player the Bills could add, who could do more to help NOW than this guy. (I am sure there are going to be a ton of you who don't agree)
  12. Something else of note.....Missouri has LONG had some of the most lax DWI/Alcohol offense laws in the country....due to the political power that the Anhieser Busch family used to have in Missouri for decades (they don't own it anymore, and haven't for several years now) ....If you are going to be a total jackass douchebag and endanger everyone by being a reckless prick with drinking.....then Missouri is a great place to do it because of the lax laws.
  13. First....before I get shelled here...I hope he gets the book thrown at him and gets the max....and that the girl recovers and gets whatever they can get from whoever needs to be sending it....the whole thing is awful... I just wanted to answer the question about the speed on this particular on ramp as I am very familiar with the area. The ramp this happend on is a LONG ramp. ...there are 2 ramps that come out of Arrowhead and the practice facility. the first one becomes part of the 2nd one before it finally merges onto the interstate there. I don't know where he entered...either way, the ramps are long, but if you enter the longest ramp, it's nearly a mile long....plent of time and space to get up to a high speed...even the shorter 2nd ramp, is almost half a mile long....(this is probalby the one he took from what I understand) Even sadder is that these 2 ramps are both very rarely used by non gameday traffic...so it's not a high traffic area at all at the time when this happend. Lastly....given the area.....it's HIGHLY unlikely that he was drinking somewhere other than at hte Chiefs facilities...the area simply doesn't have the sort of establishments nearby where you'd stop and get drunk....coming down the ramp he came down....take my word for it....you'd only use that ramp if you were coming from the stadium or practice facility.
  14. @GunnerBill would you mind if I posted my mock draft in this thread? I'd make my own thread, but this place has NOT taken kindly to me doing that in the past
  15. a few things that I wish they would do. No coin toss in playoffs.....home team should get to pick what to do.......gives a little more meat to homefield advantage. Go back classic sudden death OT....with the home team automatically given the ball first...again...have homefield mean something. ....and very minor....allow skill position players to wear uniform numbers 1-49. (but keep QB, K, and P....all 1-19) Also WR and TE may still wear 80-89.
  16. I am not making an excuse....we did get crushed.....KC had gotten by with depth O line players all year. I'm not sure how much more we might have spent on THIRD STRING GUYS is my point. I'd be willing to have to admit I'm wrong if you can go find me the third string and 2nd stringers who KC might have spent more money on to have available? Or demonstrate that another team spent lavishly on THIRD STRING O lineman.
  17. While on this subject....kind of related....what would your thougts be if the Bills spent a chunk of draft capital to go up high for something prime like Sewell? We know the Bills aren't opposed to wheeling and dealing on draft day? Also something to consider.....When KC obtained Frank Clark in a trade....there were a good number of fans who didn't like spending the draft capital on that trade...I was not one of them. KC sent pick 29 in that years draft (2019) , plus a 2nd in the draft the year after (2020) I was not opposed to it that year. 2019 didn't have a good edge rusher class....and Seattle used the 29th pick from KC to draft L J Collier out of TCU. That is about where he was projected to go....he has 3 total sacks in 3 seasons. Clark wasn't very good last year, but in 2019, he was playing at a pretty high level and showed up in big games. He was a good piece on a SB winning roster. My point is....the Bills are good....they are going to be good for a while. You'll be picking down in the late 20's and 30's most years now.... I personally am ALL IN for KC to just move first round picks for big trades to the top of the draft OR for proven players....the payoff at 28-32 doesn't seem equal to what you can trade for....just my opinion.
  18. I agree with everything you are saying here.....but I think we both agree that since we are talking about the Bengals, they'll find a way to do the WRONG thing. I like Tee Higgins alot as a no.1....and I completely agree that given what they have on their line and the investment they have in Burrow (who I think is good) you'd be crazy not to get Sewell....but again....Bengals...I wan the Begnals to just Bengal like they do more often than not...and I do think there is a good chance they are seriously considering Chase at 5.
  19. I don't want to tell you how stupidly happy I might be on draft day if Sewell is not taken with the 5th pick....it opens the door to alot of possibilities. The Bengals are EXACTLY the kind of team who will screw this up too. .....they took a 1st round LT...way too high, in Jonah Williams and they signed Reilly Rieff...I can almost hear their war room now ...."we are good at OT....let's get Burrow his boy from LSU to be our no.1 WR"
  20. I don't think I'd quite put it this way. how much depth do you think is reasonable. KC starting line in SB was THIRD STRING LT 2nd STRING LG 1st STRING C 2nd STRING RG THIRD STRING RT We were down to our 3rd guys at tackle....and 2nds at both G spots...that means were down .........SIX lineman....I'm not sure how much more DEPTH a team can carry on the Oline.....can't think of many teams who actively have 4th string O linemen ready to go on short notice.
  21. Also...not worth starting anohther thread.....but I am predicting KC makes a major trade up to get a OT Sewell might make it to the early teens Consider the following: 1. JAX. QB 2. NYJ QB 3. SF QB 4. ATL ....here I am reasonably sure the Falcons go with Kyle Pitts. 5. CIN ....This is the wild card. There are alot of people who think Sewell goes here...but alot who also think this is JaMarr Chase. Cincy has a 1st Round OT from last year....I am thinking they replace A J Green with Chase here. LSU connection to boot. 6. Miami...got their LT last year...also looking for WR...DeVonta.... 7. Detroit.. This is another Wild Wild card. They could trade out...they could go QB....they might even go LT....or they could take a defender. Truly this spot could go all kinds of directions. Most mocks don't have them going OT....some have QB....I gotta think if they like the QB here..they take a QB. Let's call that Fields for the sake of this exercsie. 8. Carolina. Depending on what QB is around at this spot...Carolina will take one. I think they are good with any of the big 5 that are here. for this exercise let's give them Lance. 9 Denver. Denver just extended their All Pro left tackle...and they are paying JuJuan James a bunch of money on the right side....they need LB badly. Parson is the pick here. 10. Dalls is going CB 11. The Giants have a GM that isn't much into trades...and likes trench guys. This might be OT...but they have a big hole at CB....alot of mocks show this as CB. 12. Philly. 11-12 are the trade up spots because the Chargers at 13 and the Vikings at 14 would be in the OT market for sure. Anyhow...IF it plays out that those guys are still on the board....KC will make the call and send a kings ransom to someone up here. I'm calling it. A little less bold...but If Darrisaw is floating around the teens/early 20's ...KC will move up for that guy as well if they can't get Sewell. They might move on up some for Cosmi as well KC will probalby target 1. Sewell 2. Darrisaw 3. Cosmi.
  22. This is what most of my assement between KC and Buf is about..... I've said before...and I stand by it.... The way the Bills were built in 2020, it just wasn't a good matchup VS KC.....KC strong VS WR in the passing game. WEAK VS TE's and RB's in the passing game. Buffalo threw to WR more than any team in the NFL (if not it's at damn near the top) ....it's the same thing in reverse when KC played the Radiers last year....Raider have a horrible pass rush..but somehow, gave KC fits....and in the passing game...the Raiders KILL the Chiefs with a steady diet of passes to the TE and backs out of the backfield.... In the Super Bowl...among many KC failures....was also a good gameplan by TB to go to Gronk and the backs early and often. TB stayed in heavy formations, keeping KC's CRAP LB group on the field and exposing it. the TB WR didn't do much of anything...but they didn't have to. It's a mathcup leauge.
  23. They've been talking. Frankly, I hope it doesn't work out. Austin Reiter sucks....he's adequate if the guys around him are good..but I'd rather move on.
  24. I didn't read every post in this thread so if this was mentioned already, disregard... The thing about Mahomes contract.....is that the way it's designed...it easy for the team to convert money to signing bonus and kick the can, or restructure etc....it leaves alot of wiggle room... This would be a case where I would wonder if the Pegulas have the kind of cash you need to be able to operate that way. I wonder this because the Bills already don't do business in this manor. That isn't to say that Can't.....but they don't seem to be a can kicker organization. That's fine...I'm not being critical....Josh Allen is going to get paid one way or another....that's not in doubt...but....and don't shoot the messenger here.....but.....if the Pegulas sign him to a big deal (they will)....Allens cap hits are probably going to be what they are year to year without bonus conversion etc if the Bills continue to do things the way they do.....the cap represents more of a constraint than for others. The upside is the you are paying the piper as you go...so there is that.
