Season Seat Upgrades - Pretty Happy
vanhalen26 replied to vanhalen26's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh well. I hope they are good. Sure cost enough and I thought rows 15-20 or there about was the sweet spot mid field in the lower bowl. I was row 24 on the 30 last year, and liked it a bit lower when we checked out the views. Anyways - it’s done so we’ll see in the fall. -
Season Seat Upgrades - Pretty Happy

That’s funny! My wife will be thrilled. Hammers is fun, but too over the top for when my 11 year old comes! -
Well, I took the plunge a little deeper today. Moved from visitor side 110 row 24 at the 30 to home side 133 row 16 at the 42 (so it appears). Should be quite cool. We have 3 and was hoping to increase to 4, but would have had to move outside the 30's and higher up, so I made the switch to 133. I've liked being on the visiting side - you see a different team every week which is neat, but should be fun to sit on the home side as well. Also - maybe a couple times a year we can't use the 3rd seat, and I think these new seats will be easier to flip at less of a loss. Should be a pretty awesome view, I'm stoked. Even the 110 row 24 were very very good - but this will be even better. I will miss the sun on the visitor side though on those cooler days! The flip side is though on a couple occasions in the dog days of August/September we did sneak into the home side to get into the shade - I guess each side has its benefits.

I’m excited about the future and will renew. Would be cheaper to just buy by the game, but I like my seats and the convenience.

Nice game but Allen needs to pass

Less running. One play his head took a nice bounce of the turf when he went down, another his throwing arm that was injured took a big hit. It was the head bounce that concerned me. He’s gotta stay healthy and learn to thrown. -
Can anyone listen to WGR on radio.com app?
vanhalen26 replied to vanhalen26's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Grrr They are geoblocking. I’m not that technical but when I use a VPN and put myself in the US, it works (I’m in Toronto). They must cookie the phone or something - cuz when I was in for the game yesterday it wouldn’t work either but right now works with VPN on, doesn’t with VPN off. I was in Pittsburgh for the game a week ago and it didn’t work either, I only tried the VPN today. I guess that’s what I need to do. I miss tunein - I bought the pro version so I could record shows like the post game and listen from the start on the way home. Seems like Viacom has really locked things down in this app and well never get the recording option back. -
For the last few days I get stream unavailable. I’m using an iPhone if that makes a difference.

WGR is ditching its App for Radio.com

Wow - I wanted to hear some postgame talk this eve and I think it’s just run at least 30 minutes of consecutive ads. What garbage. -

Not working through Apple CarPlay for me I wish they’d go back to what worked -

Radio app not available in the Apple App Store in Canada. Another victim of the trade war? Joking aside, dumb move for a border city where a good chunk of the user/listener base is from Canada. -
I had to turn it off, too painful...

Did You Upgrade Your Seasons Tickets?
vanhalen26 replied to Razor15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes - hoping for seats that are parity or better. Mine are at the 30, the best 4 together at the moment are at the goal-line unfortunately. Always empty singles near us for every game, so our family of four can sit together by the second quarter, but it would be a little easier if we had 4 together from the start. Ah well. -

I know its an old thread ... I searched for a ticket discussion instead of starting a new one. We have 3 in 110, but want to increase to 4. Seems to be quite difficult unless I want to buy a single season and hope I can combine in the future. That's too bad. If anyone has 4 lower bowl near mid-field like ours and wants to reduce to 3 for some reason (kid's moved out etc!), feel free to reach out. -
Interesting, that could change things.! I couldn’t find much about how that will be implemented online but we’ll see. It looks like each team can decide which ‘partner’ to use. I read cowboys actually dumped Ticketmaster. Hopefully the bills enable stubhub in a seamless and automated manner, don’t impose floor price restrictions, and allow sales up until game time. I take enough of a loss on some of the games I can’t attend, won’t be happy if it gets worse.
-
They are doing it to cut out stubhub and have more control over pricing IMHO. Stubhub has a floor price of $6 (Plus fees), ticket exchange is slightly below face value. By making stubhub difficult to use, and no longer support sales within 24/48 hours of a game, they drive people back to ticket exchange and get to enjoy the revenue associated with a resale. So if you have seats that are at the back row of a pricepoint and want to sell cheaply just to move them and many seats are at this new high priced floor - good luck as their are likely better seats at the same floor price within the new section. This offends me as I come from out of town and don’t attend all games - and this will make dec games when they are out of the race difficult to sell. I wouldn’t be bothered as much if ticket exchange had a low floor price so I could choose what I’m willing to sell the tickets I paid for at - but only stub hub let’s you do that. This will cost STHs $$ if you don’t attend all games.

I hear you OC - just juggling my enjoyment of the games and tailgating with getting home early in Toronto to relieve my babysitter (75 year old mother some games) as she finds watching my 2 kids (grades 4 & 6) taxing - and if I tax her too much shell stop agreeing to help! -

Ah - so its hit and miss on how quick you can get home from there - last week I flew, this week slow crawl. I guess Ill have to consider a post game tailgate on occasion! -

Thanks so much guys. That was crazy good fun again. Question - can you normally turn left onto Big Tree when leaving? Today the road was closed if trying to go left. Ive parked at Hammers twice now. First time took me 25 minutes to get to the peace bridge. Today it took close to an hour to get to Big Tree Road. Thx! -

Alright - leaving Toronto at 7am, quick stop at Wegmans (technically beef isnt allowed across the border so why risk it, whats a tailgate without steak!), and then hopefully room remains. If you can hold a spot in your corner that would be great, if not I understand as Ill be in on the later side (9:30). Ill have TBD on the dash just in case. See you all tomorrow! Go Bills! -
