  1. I have seasons and live in Toronto. If we return from any country, the government requires we quarantine for 14 days. Makes it hard to justify going to a bills game - especially with a family that relies on me to be out and about. Today the government extended this rule from mid July to August 31st. There’s speculation that the rule may get extended to the spring. This makes it even less likely Canadians will be at games this year, what a downer. I floated this possibility on the forums a few months back, and the consensus seemed to be I was over reacting. Unfortunately I may have been correct. Hopefully we can get to games this year, even if it’s just the back half of the season.
  2. My athletics renewal was due next month. With the lack of sports I hit cancel. In return I was given a free bonus 3 months.
  3. Crossing the border is definitely a concern. Maybe the border will be open and you’ll need a 14 day quarantine upon return. I don’t know about you, but my wife would have my head under those conditions. That said, I’d buy the cheapest seats they have just to be on board, and if you want better seats upgrade in the season seat holder upgrade window the following year. Given the economy, unfortunately I’d suspect there will be good upgrade opportunities next spring as they will probably have a higher number than normal of members not renewing. If the games are played to fans in the stadium, it’s quite unlikely the stadium will be sold to capacity, so you can probably decline your seats on a per game basis - or if you are assigned a couple games by the bills, I’d suspect the tickets made available will be in high demand anyways - so that minimizes the financial risk if you can’t attend.
  4. Darn. Looks like the border may be an issue. Ah well, hoping we at least have a season to watch. I think even that remains a question for now. Here’s a quote from prime minister Trudeau today. “Travel restrictions are going to remain extremely important in terms of containing the spread of COVID-19 in Canada and we're going to continue to work with the Americans and people around the world, to ensure that we continue with these restrictions,” Trudeau said.
  5. I know - I’m just getting old. I bring a young teen with me and it’s a little much for her to listen to still. My older teen on the other hand could probably swear up a storm on her own!
  6. Seemed like there were a lot of good seats last year to choose from, today not really. I was in the 12:30 window. We got lucky last year and got great seats so it would be hard to upgrade anyways. I was hoping to move though - even to similar seats. The people behind me get wrecked and even bring weed inside in a vape pen regularly ... not how I want to smell when I’m crossing a border 2 hours later. They also put Howard Stern to shame (who I enjoy with headphones), and the language is a bit much for me to listen to when I bring my kids to the games. I was tempted to call fan services a couple times, but I didn’t want to be a jerk.
  7. In fairness I just told my wife what I posted and she just shook her head and called me a moron! I just miss sports already. It really is part of our daily lives. I also hold raptors seasons and was enjoying the season tremendously.
  8. I feel great about our team. If games are played, I hope the borders are open as I drive in from Toronto for the games! if not, I own some expensive coat racks just off mid field lower bowl, as I don’t think seats will have much resale value this year (despite the bills kicking butt!).
  9. I just hope he’s not being foolish like kevin Durant was - and is truly healthy enough to play. Don’t get me wrong - I want a big massive win by the Bills - but it would be a shame for any player to rush back from a major injury and make it exponentially worse like Durant did.
  10. I wish they would return to tunein, it was so much better
  11. I think he’s shown he deserves more game time.
  12. He looked so happy, congrats! I snapped the pic on his record breaking run, I’ll have to print one and hand to the team for him.
  13. I usually park and tailgate at kettles. It’s a good tailgate but more family oriented - and real bathrooms. Maybe once a year (when we leave the kids at home), we’ll do Hammers.
  14. I guess I’m an outlier, I like one bills live.
  15. We should be scared, people like him also have the right to vote.
  16. And that’s why we have tailgate village now. And that’s why I go to the smaller more family oriented lots to tailgate these days.
  17. tell Kevin Durant that! I’d be cautious, it’s early in the season.
  18. In the future, I’d suggest only buying digital - less fraud risk.
  19. Did you get caught in much traffic leaving ECC? I need to get home early this weekend and thinking of parking there to be on the outside edge of the traffic. I’m heading back to the peace bridge after the game. How much is ECC this year? Tailgate any good? I know it’s across from Hammers, but we bring lots of gear so we’d set up wherever we park. Thx!
  20. Awesome, thanks for the info. I couldn’t find it on the bills website.
  21. Hey. Does anyone listen to the game on the radio while at the game? I brought a radio to the opener and the feed must be delayed on WGR 550 maybe 10 or 15 seconds. Made it impossible to enjoy. I’m guessing it’s intentional so listeners can sync up with their TV feed if they wanted to. When I go to raptors or leaf games in Toronto, the arena offers an in stadium radio broadcast frequency with the game in real time. Do the Bills offer that on any frequency? If not, it would be an inexpensive option that would enhance the fan experience.
  22. Is it just me or does it look like a lot of holding is going uncalled?
  23. Bills did OK with T.O. but I think AB is a bigger head case.
  24. I’m from Toronto, but have bills seasons (I have a passport ... can’t believe that’s even a discussion point!). The games at skydome we’re dreadful. I’ve been to other NFL cities and orchard park has so much more atmosphere, it’s worth the extra drive. I think if buffalo got a dome, it would neuter the whole experience. Argo games and jay games got much less atmosphere once they were brought inside. Football is meant to be experienced with the elements if you ask me. I’d also be leery of the seat cost if they built a new stadium rather than renovate - I don’t think Buffalo can absorb premium pricing and still fill the stadium. I think current pricing reflects what’s realistic. If the Bills could charge more they would. Sightlines are great at new era - way better than many stadiums as it was clearly built for football. A new stadium would probably put a couple rows of boxes in between the first and second decks, which would really push the distance from the field back if you sat upper bowl. I really hope they just renovate.
