  1. Actually makes perfect sense. Who would you bet on having better work ethic, a guy who made his way having to grind every step of the way or the guy who had a little easier road because they could rest on natural ability at a young age? It goes without saying that pretty much anybody who makes it to the NFL has elite size and physical skills. But I'd be more prone to bet on the guy who took the harder road. There is a reason the Bills look for guys who were captains on their college teams.
  2. Fired the wrong coach. Bowles is a failure as a head coach and will likely be on the outs after next year.
  3. Have to give it a whirl. I work out of Chicago and travel there a few times a year. Thank you for the recommendation!
  4. Good deal. French Dip is my wife's favorite sandwich, just gets weird about any fat. Glad she doesnt feel the same way about Husbands.
  5. Appreciate it man. I'll most likely over cook it like I do everything else but I thought Id give it a shot.
  6. Now I understand the laughing emoji! French Dip is exactly what my Grandmother/Mother make and call Beef on Weck. It's good but overwhelming with the French Onion Soup Mix they use. Wife and I shared a killer Beef on Weck at Bar Bill a few months back and thats really what I am looking to make this weekend.
  7. Fully agree with you. Problem is Oliver is already under contract for next year so they either have to release him or find a team willing to trade for him and take on a 10 million dollar contract.
  8. Poyer is the definition of the type of player that Beane has said they want to keep in Buffalo. That said, if he really wants to be the top paid safety in football I dont see how the Bills swing it.
  9. If you dont care why bother clicking on the thread? Much less respond to it? If there is indeed a percentage of fans who will trash other fan bases and cities as you claim, then my post didnt start a narrative at all as you claim. Given your response, I am not 100% you know what a narrative is and how it begins.
  10. Agree. Sounds like a load of tiger crap.
  11. Baskin is claiming that the department of homeland security provided a letter that he is alive and living in Costa Rica. https://nypost.com/2023/01/18/carole-baskins-dead-husband-found-alive-last-year-but-no-one-noticed/
  12. Beatles.
  13. Man what I wouldn't give to see them raise the real thing. I think they should have been there the last two years, but this year would be extra special.
  14. A lot of meathead takes with no substance. Seems like they have a lot of old school NFL fans who are very much into machismo.
  15. They cover that in the thread as well. However, I agree with you, that was low brow.
  16. Started civil enough but quickly got into thrashing our fans, and city. Going as far as to say the Bills used a tragedy to call off the previous game because "they wanted no part of us." Also mentioned us saying Skylar Thompson is a great QB, which I dont recall in the least http://thebengalsboard.com/Thread-Threads-from-our-Frenemies-part-2?page=2 If they want an honest opinion I think they are an incredibly talented football team. Think their QB is gifted but incredibly cocky, and as far as cities go...
  17. Very sad stuff. Hearing that he was on his way to his daughter's cheerleading competition. Rest Easy.
  18. Not confident at all, but also not feeling doomed. Oddly enough I felt more worried about last week. Probably more about not wanting to be upset by the Dolphins and having to listen to their insufferable fans for 8 months until next season. Bengals fans seem ok. But I will say I find their QB to be arrogant as hell.
  19. I thought this was pretty common knowledge? They almost signed him two years in a row didnt they?
  20. Their backups arent terrible players. Probably not going to as big a deal as people will make out.
  21. My opinion of Tom Brady began to change as I got older. When I was young and more immature I hated the guy, thought he was a product of cheating and preferential treatment from the refs. As I became a more mature person, and started to see how age impacts your athletic ability I became more in awe of the things he was able to do in his late 30's and early 40's. My opinion of him today is he may be the greatest champion in any sport all time.
  22. Tampa Bay is horrendous.
  23. I coach high school football with Mike Vanderjagt. Everytime I look at him I think of Peyton losing his mind about him on TV.
  24. Then there was the year I gave up an entire family to play for a terrible head coach..Chapter 20 from the forthcoming Tom Brady Autobiography
  25. Far more annoying when they leave there sideline posts and come on the field to overturn a touchdown. That Houston game still gives me nightmares.
