  1. I came here to say they shouldn't have relied on an old guy to play LT. Then I looked it up and saw he is only 31. How the heck is he only 31? Seems like he played for the Saints when Sam Mills was still there.
  2. I sometimes watch sportscenter on Saturday mornings, otherwise I dont turn it on. They went from being a network that had one opinion based show, to a network with people talking non-stop all the time. I miss the days of the Sports Reporters being the only opinion based show. The network is non-stop noise now. My life is noisy enough, I dont need more people yelling at me. ESPN would be smart to try and put on programming for more "intelligent" fans who care about the intricacies and histories of Football, Baseball and Basketball. Crazy people yelling at one another, pickleball, soccer, and cornhole isnt going to sway me to watch. In terms of pre and post games, I turn on the game when it starts and turn it off when it ends. See the noise thing. I am 40 years old, I've heard people talk long enough. Most of the time people are just saying words to take up air time, for the most part its meaningless babble.
  3. Going to disagree with a few points here. First and foremost, I think Combs is easily as big as Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles. In fact, I'd say he is a bigger star than both considering he has crossover power in Country, Rock, and Pop. Sheeran and Styles are purely pop acts. Combs has more #1 hits than either guy. Not to mention Harry Styles demographic within music itself is pretty limited. You wont see a lot of guys at a Harry Styles concert. The Tracy Chapman cover is huge right now. You cant turn on the radio without hearing it, whether thats on country stations or pop stations. Guy has the biggest song in the world right now, and has 16 consecutive #1 songs. That puts him on level with Garth Brooks. I dont think he'll have any trouble selling out those shows.
  4. I think they expected Bernard to step up and take the role. With his injury, you dont have much to work with. Only guys worth looking at in free agency at this point are Anthony Barr, Jarrad Davis, and Rashaan Evans. At this point I am not sure any of those three guys can learn the defense and calls to be anywhere near ready to start for the team.
  5. Not going to put too much thought into goal-line EPA when they had a top 5 scoring offense. Splitting hairs. New season, new hairs to split.
  6. You sure that wasn't his right arm?
  7. Andy Reid was making the calls. M Nagy was the QB coach which is why he was shown in that show so much. End result is the same, Bienemy's lack of play calling experience and his past legal issues are the reasons he hasn't received head coaching offers.
  8. Henderson may have been better off in this day and age of the NFL. He was managing the Crohn's disease with a banned substance that is no longer banned, missed almost an entire year because of it. The surgery he had prior to the suspensions sounded agonizing.
  9. True to an extent. However, I don't see Damar's celebrity lasting a lifetime. To be clear I am not worried about what he will do after football, the post is what it is.
  10. Dear NFL, You had it right to begin with.. Stop messing with stuff. Love, Everyone
  11. I think its a solid possibility. If he decides to play football then he ends up on the practice squad here or another place. If he decides to stop playing I have no doubt the Bills give him a community outreach position as part of the front office. No matter what happens, I dont think the Bills will hang him out to dry.
  12. Luke Kuechly started wearing it after his concussion issues. I believe Klein picked it up from him while still in Carolina.
  13. Feel like this guys has been "available for trade" for 3 seasons now.
  14. Despite the fact that Favre's reputation has been obliterated I have to be honest and say his on field play is up there as my all time favorite. Manning was about the most surgical player outside of Brady I've ever watched. As a more outside the box answer Steve McNair was always way up there for me
  15. This topic has been beat to death. Its literally been disproven. Statistics show that a QB is more likely to suffer a catastrophic injury in the pocket than out of it. Cam Newton's career ended because his shoulder went to hell on a freak play. Mike Vick may have been a Hall of Famer if he didn't slaughter dogs in his spare time.
  16. Tuned in a few times since Howard left and I've heard about Hot Dogs, tons of golf talk, tennis, soccer and tons of hockey. Its insufferable and obviously not for guys who prefer football. I feel like WGR is all hockey all the time lately. The only person I can stand on the station anymore is Sal. I've listened to enough golf and Paul Hamilton droning on about the Sabres to last a lifetime. Its podcasts for me at this point. Sad because I've listened to WGR for 20 years.
  17. Good idea for both the Giants and Beasley. Goes back to the offense he had the most success in his career in, and always a safety blanket for Jones. Makes too much sense
  18. Unless he is due a roster bonus I dont see the sense in letting him go to camp with anyone else. Seems like he is going to go the way of many Baylor wideouts who come into the NFL, cant get off the press and cant run NFL level routes. He isn't even a good red zone threat like he was in college. If he is released he may be worth a flyer but I think he his career will play out similar to another player we took a flyer on a few years back, Corey Coleman. Different players, but similar issues.
  19. I can't disagree with anything you wrote here. My hope is the guy did some real soul searching after he was caught.
  20. Yes, if truly apologetic and taking steps to correct the behavior, he certainly deserves forgiveness. I dont know if thats the case, but I know for certain I am human and have made terrible decisions and missteps in my life. I would hope people would forgive me for mine, as such I try to forgive others for theirs.
  21. They get paid just fine. There is always the other option, come join me in the 9-5 game. Comes with student loan debt (my college degree wasn't free), 2 Chrysler Mini Vans, a decent house in Orleans County NY. It's not a mansion in South Florida or California but I'm still living the dream baby. All jobs get paid according to what the owner of the business is willing to pay. If you don't like it find a new job. Please stand back while I play the world's smallest fiddle for these 20 and 30 something millionaires. They have all the right in the world to protest and complain about it, they also have all the right in the world to be roasted for how tone deaf they come across.
  22. Totally agree. I was 23 when Bucky went on the run. Was in a similar boat, I wasn't actively cheering the guy on but a part of me did want the bad guy to win. As a middle aged guy my tune has completely changed. Probably makes me a hypocrite but mainly just want my kids not to make the same mistake.
