  1. Rest well Shawn. Sorry for your loss brother.
  2. Loved the Funeral. Sad to see another legend go. Had his 1982 Legends of Wrestling Rookie card and just sold it last month. Regretted it the second it was gone. RIP.
  3. Wont know until they play actual games. Everything else is just nonsense and conjecture.
  4. Maybe its simplistic but its far from a "hot take." Only 5 of the 16 returners who qualified to have their stats tracked (number of qualifying returns) averaged more than 25 yards per return last year. Given that average, you have a 31% chance of making it to the 25 when returning a kick out of the front of the end zone, that percentage decreases every 3 feet you go into the end zone. As such, there is really no reason to ever bring the ball out. 6 of those 16 players failed to have a return average over 20 yards. As such, on average, applicable returners are only 62% likely to progress the ball over the 25 yard line if they catch the ball at the 5. How many kickoffs do you see caught at the 5 yard line or beyond? The new rule coupled with the kickoff being moved up doesn't totally remove the kickoff return from the game, but I think its fair to say a heavy focus on a return man isnt necessary.
  5. Also making a brief appearance in this video is future Bills owner Matthew Pegula. Is it just me or does Thad Brown come across exactly like someone named Thad would?
  6. He's been honest when the Bills have been bad. Despite what many on this board may think, they havent been bad in 3 seasons or so.
  7. Thats one beautiful resonator he is playing. Good tune. Exactly the thing people need to here.
  8. The emphasis on having an amazing return guy when the NFL is setting rules to eliminate returns from the game baffles me. I am confident Isabella can catch a football and kneel it down.
  9. So we are replacing the guy with 8 career kick returns with the guy who has 14? If its such an issue just go sign Andre Roberts as a one year fail safe.
  10. If I am Arizona I am thinking very hard about whether Kyler Murray is going to be the guy going forward. If he isnt, then yes, as you say keep the picks. If they are going to roll with him, I would ask myself if anyone in the top ten of this years draft is going to be more impactful than having Jonathan Taylor in the prime of his career. If you can walk away with both Jonathan Taylor and Marvin Harrison Jr. for Kyler Murray its worth thinking about.
  11. Not sure why the Colts wont pay him, he is only 23, they have a QB on a rookie deal, and they have the money. That said, Arizona should be all over this. They have the money, the draft picks and the needs. If the Colts are smart they will go ahead and trade him, outside of the AFC.
  12. Yes, I care about the kids. I feel awful that this guys was so lost on life that he did something so selfish.
  13. You expect the news to care more about the kids than the Dad did?
  14. The PFF grade I saw was 76.5. Maybe I am reading it wrong, who knows.
  15. Your dead on about his physique. He carries his weight in his belly and hips. I'm in no position to speak about weight but I'm also not paid to be in peak physical shape.
  16. Maybe they should work on suing themselves as well.
  17. Well I could tell you about pro bowls and PFF grades. I could tell you about him being a captain on the team but all 3 of those things are subjective. For me, I've never said the guy is Tyron Smith. He isn't. He isn't a lockdown LT because he isn't as athletic as guys like Smith, Stanley, or Trent Williams. But to say he's replacement level, given his track record in the league, id say that's wrong.
  18. Hes an above average left tackle in the league but his game has certainly been in decline. Particularly against players who like to start wide and come back inside on him. Hes always been a bad body guy, but its getting worse by the year.
  19. Not going to go in on the penalties too much. Refs are usually more severe in the preseason and ticky tack stuff is more likely to be called. That said, the thing that stood out to me the most was lack of talent in positions the Bills knew they had to fix. They needed to bring in real competition for Spencer Brown. Instead they bet on his issues being all injury and they clearly aren't. I was fine with them letting Edmunds walk, but they shouldn't be in a situation where a Bernard injury sinks them. Other areas like running back and defensive end still look to be issues but at the very least there is depth. James Cook has shown nothing to say he can be a legitimate starting running back. Poor awareness, speed to the hole is bad etc. Now we have new issues popping up like Dion Dawkins' kick step being faster to a buffet table than it is against speed rush. Elam can't crack the starting lineup and our safeties look old. I'll say what I said a lot last season. The Vonn Miller signing was out of character for Beane, and its handcuffed the Bills from making legitimate moves to up grade positions of need. Couple that with Beane having a real hard time drafting quality starters and you start to have a talent void in important places.
  20. If Dawkins and Brown keep playing the way they've been I can assure you he'll be injured at some point.
  21. And with every one of them there will be something that makes him tense or annoyed.
  22. Well done RJ. Rest easy now. Absolute legend.
  23. Giving Aaron Brooks time to find Joe Horn!
  24. Yeah man, he may be the biggest male musician in the world right now. That said, I tend to separate acts like Combs, Morgan Wallen, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, and Elton John from acts like Harry Styles. Harry Styles earns more from his concerts, but his songs dont do as well overall. IMO, people go to Harry Styles shows because its the in thing to do amongst twenty somethings. More interested in the experience than the music. Kind of like tailgaters at a Bills game who could care less about the game. In terms of Combs, his music crosses genres well. For instance, my teenage son who listens to mainly rock and rap loves him. So does my college age daughter who listens to alternative pop. Depending on the price I may go to one of the shows. Apparently he is doing two different shows. First night is centered on Folk Country, with the Avett Brothers opening. Second night is more modern country. Smart move on his part.
