ISO: Suggestions for moderators at PPP
SydneyBillsFan replied to SDS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If it's anything like the "moderation" of the main board, where everything is considered sexist, mysoginist, racist, Trumpist and a whole bunch of other meaningless, overused tropes then please - stop the train so i can get the hell off! -

Critical Race Theory
SydneyBillsFan replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And just in case anyone thought that the scourge of CRT was exclusive to the USA - think again: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/controversial-critical-race-theory-still-being-taught-in-nsw-classrooms/news-story/42b07f2071857f32762c997b8b43324d Controversial critical race theory still being taught in NSW classrooms Critical race theory, which claims to teach against racism, is still being taught in NSW classrooms despite being outlawed by the Senate The NSW Department of Education is continuing to list resources that promote the teaching of critical race theory in classrooms, despite the Australian Senate passing a resolution against the practice last June. On Tuesday, it was reported an official department web page hosting a range of so-called “anti-racism” resources for teachers had disappeared as part of an upgrade. However, The Daily Telegraph can reveal that despite concerns raised by state and federal education ministers the page has resurfaced and promotes organisations such as US-based Learning for Justice, whose homepage features an article advising teachers how to fight laws designed to stop the teaching of critical race theory. A number of state legislatures in the US have passed laws to stop such racially divisive doctrines, which categorise people by skin colour and teach that everyone is either an oppressor or oppressed. Learning for Justice also offers free lesson plans for teachers to promote so-called intersectional politics, which encourages people to see one another not as individuals but instead tells students “we all have multiple identity characteristics that make us who we are, and the intersection of these identities come together to create unique forms of privilege and oppression.” Bella d’Abrera, director of the Foundations of Western Civilisation program at the Institute of Public Affairs, said these types of classroom resources went far beyond the scope of addressing racism. “They are promoting radical ideologies such as identity politics and critical race theory which are dangerous and divisive, and which need to be kept out of Australia classrooms,” Dr d’Abrera said. Other lessons come courtesy of the Australian Human Rights Commission, which teaches Australia is a structurally racist nation and that is to blame for Indigenous disadvantage. The site also continues to feature the department’s own Racism No Way project, which has previously been criticised for promoting a “privilege for sale” game and telling students Australia is an inherently racist country. “These materials do the opposite to what they purport to do. They are not anti-racist, but rather racist because they teach children that they should not look beyond their superficial differences,” Dr d’Abrera said. “Children do not see colour but yet they are turned against each other by bureaucrats. This is unacceptable.” The focus on so called anti-racism comes as NSW’s education performance continues to decline. This year, the state’s year 9 students recorded their worst- ever NAPLAN reading performance, with one in 10 failing to meet basic national minimum standards. An Education Department spokesman said: “The department has an anti-racism policy, which commits the department to the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination in NSW government schools.” -

Yes, provided you are a paid-up member of the lunatic left. One rule for some, goalpost-shifting rules for others. -

Now that Tre is on IR, is there a rule that allows us to pro-rata the remainder of his contract for this year (about $6-7m) and offer the same amount to another player (assuming you can even find someone close to being that good)? -

The Ford Report - Week 12, Bills v. Saints, 11/25/21
SydneyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks again for another detailed analysis Freddie! The guy can clearly play, it's just a matter of him staying the course and putting in the work at practice. Baker Mayfield was the number 1 draft pick and Cody was his guard in an Oklahoma team that only just lost to Georgia in the final 4 - he was not a dud guard then and I don't believe he is one now. I made the mistake of writing Edmunds off a little early, I won't be repeating the same mistake with Ford. We don't need him to be all-pro, we just need him to "do his 1/11th". -

The Ford Report - Week 11, Colts v. Bills, 11/21/21
SydneyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the best analysis I have ever seen on TBD. That view is quite possibly exacerbated a little by the excitement I feel in that maybe - just maybe - Cody could become a legitimate starting-level guard in the NFL. It's already happened with Edmunds who I feel has gone up a notch or two this year, so here's hoping it can happen again with another proclaimed 'bust'. Great work Freddie! -
What players are true draft busts under Beane?
SydneyBillsFan replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taken with pick 74 and has around 5 YPC behind a bad O-line. He might not be elite or a home run hitter but objectively he cannot be put into the bust category IMO. -
Time to bring out the pitchforks for Beane ?
SydneyBillsFan replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess on his core roster management philosophy is that he likes draft picks over trades because he believes it helps make his job of managing the salary cap easier. Cheap 4-year contracts which won't get extended if he thinks he isn't getting a suitable return on investment. -
If we lose 3 of our last 7 we would be 10-7.

Time to bring out the pitchforks for Beane ?
SydneyBillsFan replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Basham over Creed Humphrey decision showed a lack of foresight for mine. However, it may well be that McD and Frazier took that decision out of his hands to an extent. Either way, the O-line is criminally bad, the DT's are not tough enough and the DE's lack explosiveness. I am happy with the LB's and the DB's. On offense, we could do with another type of RB, although I think Singletary could do a lot more behind a good run blocking O-line. I am confident that Davis will become a legit WR2 in time. -
