  1. That's like an INT every 8 throws. HE's a walking turnover machine. It's sad, I actually like the guy. But it's definitely time to move on.
  2. Nahhh, freaking Gaines panicked and committed a penalty he didn't have to.
  3. Peterman keeps doing the same thing. He's made his case for not being in the NFL. Let him go please.
  4. Benjamin got hurt in Carolina, his mother died and now he's closed himself off. If I was Allen I'd never even look his way. I'd never target him the rest of the season. I'd tell the coach, hey I wanted to work with him, he refused. I'm not targeting him you guys can do whatever you want with him, just know that I will never target him.
  5. To me get PP7 and Reddick. That way you'd have the defense solidified going into next season and you can just draft offense and bring in FA's on offense. Anything brought in defensively would just be depth.
  6. If they cannot draft someone to unseat Bodine right away then something is wrong with the scouting department. Cincy drafted Billy Price and he's starting already. Their OL picked up partly because of him. The lions took Ragnow, and right now he's one of their starting Guards but he has plenty of C experience. The Cards have Mason Cole starting at C, who is also a rookie. If it is difficult for this scouting department to find someone to unseat Bodine, someone needs their walking papers.
  7. I would be saddened but I would probably do it. I look at it this way. The division still belongs to the Patriots this year. Get as many high picks as you can. The entire OL other than Dawkins needs to be replaced. If you can get a 2nd and a 3rd for Shady pull it. That's a C/LG or C/RG Combo. You need at least two WRs, a CB opposite Tre, an OLB to replace Lorax. Get the high picks while you can. Hell get me Josh Allen to replace Lorax.
  8. Missed tackle by Lacy. Linebacker should be looking for those types of guys to devour LOL
  9. I'm just not sure I understand the calling out of Zay Jones. You can cite other guys that he went ahead of, but look at those offenses. Most of them are pretty good in the passing area and they have more than one guy that defenses have to respect, plus they also have good OL's and pretty decent QB play. Are people expecting Jones to have an S on his chest or something? Secondly, most of the other guys cited are not working with green OC's either. Last year we had suspect QB play in Dennison's system. He tried to fit a round hole with a square peg. Taylor was not the QB for what Dennison runs. This year, Daboll has to get his feet back under him. It's his first time back in the NFL and he's going to have to do more than rely on guys winning their match ups (this ain't Alabama). We don't have a single WR that the defense respects like that. So why even design the passing game around it? IF we had an Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson that defense have to respect then sure. But we don't. So we need to do something else to give our WR's a chance.
  10. We are only 1 game up of where I thought we'd be at this point. So I'll take that. The only two things I thought would be different are: 1) I thought the defense would be a lot better. It has played very well in spurts and pretty bad/soft in spurts. 2) I always thought Allen would win the starter job but that our M.O would be to run the football A LOT with a rookie QB at the helm. We have not done that. We've put way too much on Allen's shoulders and the last game it got so ugly. Now, I will say this, I was soo against the Allen pick. However, as time moved, I grew to like the pick. I don't think these bad games will ruin Allen. I really don't. He's got the right mindset and attitude, at least that's what he shows in the interviews. I think he will learn from these and find ways to fine tune his craft. All I can hope for is to see Allen, Edmunds, Johnson, Phillips improve week by week. If I can see some upswing and promise from those players, while I would like more wins, I wouldn't care if we lost games. Just let me see that all of those guys HAVE IT. Just let me see that Edmunds is just as comfortable at MLB as Tre White was at CB in his rookie season. IF I can see that from Edmunds by game 10 and until the end of the season then I'm happy. If I can see Josh the same way at QB then I'm a happy camper. At this point for me, it's not about wins but about these young guys improving and showing that they have the talent and understanding and playmaking ability to be winners as we move forward.
  11. I think Zay Jones can be a good player but I don't think he's going to excel in a system based on matchups. Honestly, I hate that. Unless you have guys who can do it all, they are never going to win their match up. So to me design an offense that springs people open. If the offense is designed for each guy to win their match up, well that's why we are seeing what we see. Nobody on this team is going to "win" their matchup.
  12. I hope people don't think Benjamin should be 1 of those 10. He's been worse than Jones IMO.
  13. We're not playing 70's football. That would involve running the football, which, even though we have two capable runners and a rookie QB, we refuse to do, even though when we do, it's actually positive.
  14. The biggest flaw in this type of thinking is that you presuppose that what Andy Reid did with his QB would have translated the same here. Even if we would have taken him last year, that does not mean he'd be the same guy you've seen the first 4 weeks on a different team.
  15. Given what I saw with what Juan did with Marshal Yanda, Kelechi Osemele and Micheal Orr by making them all look like the three stooges, I'm going to side with it's a bit of both. I don't think Ducasse, Mills, Miller, Bodine are great and definitely far from it. However, you don't have to have great at every spot on the line for it to be competent. If we do league inventory, what we discover is that there are a lot of bad lines talent wise, but they don't look this confused every wee. I think it's a combination of Juan and the line.
  16. He needs more than that. He's young, but he's going to have to stop the hero ball and understand it's a double edge sword. Sometimes he helps his team when he's successful with it, but he hurts the team when he's not successful with it. It's gotta be tough for him. People want him to trust the protection and step up in the pocket, but damn, it's tough to do that when you've seen the ass of those guys almost clip your knees because they are getting thrown around. The poise is not there right now. He's trying to do way too much and that shows up big on a team that actually needs someone to do way too much. I will continue to root for him, but like others, I was against the pick for the Bills. I thought if he is to thrive he would need a better situation than the one he stepped into here. I've grown to really like Allen. I like his attitude. I like his apparent work ethic. Hopefully, he can harness his rawness into something special. You know you've hit rock bottom when the Browns offense looks far superior compared to what you are rooting for an watching.
  17. I don't really consider Jones a bust. He was a 2nd round pick that really improved his draft stock from the Sr Bowl. Now had he been taken in round 1 in the top 15 yep, he'd be the biggest bust since Maybin. But since he was a 2nd rounder, Maybe still holds the crown by a longshot in my book. Is he playing below his draft selection? Sure. I'm not for sure what the issues are though. Is he not open until the defense is playing prevent?
  18. To me they are not doing a good job of trying to get the ball to our best bets on offense. If you want to move the ball you have to find ways to get Shady involved. That's just the bottom line. If you want your QB to feel more comfortable and stop try to play hero ball you are going to have to start chipping the edges and maybe even using an upback to check the middle due to the line just being a horrid mess.
  19. And based on what we saw yesterday, right now that's exactly what it needs to be based around. To me they are putting too much of the game on Allen's shoulders and it's not looking good.
  20. I don't think he has any trade value. Also, to me, he's a one dimensional player that should only be in the game from the opponents 10 yard line going in. Outside of that Benjamin is not good. He cannot separate; he doesn't play to his size; and he's lazy at times. Mehhh.
  21. And if he can't I'd like to see more chips by the backs and TE's. I mean a lot of it is on him and the OL. But I just never understand why coordinators don't use chips when the OL and QB are struggling.
