  1. Murphy was always an overrated signing to me. He had a lot of career pressures but not many sacks and I just find him to be one of the NFL guys that Derrick Mason referred to as soft. That is you don't want to do the training camps and gut through things because it's hot, so on and so forth, but you'll be ready when the season starts.
  2. LOL and people were hating and trying to push back against the NFL media saying the Bills were the worse team in football. Denial is a hell of a drug.
  3. Watching that game I feel like the Ravens came out flat and let the game get away from them. I'd expect they will win the rematch. Cincy was good in the trenches though which helps.
  4. I don't. That's a beautiful ass. Peterman's play was the radical opposite of that beautiful ass LOL
  5. True, True. One thing I will say to is that if you go back to the Ravens OL in their first year under Castillo, they were the most penalized in the league. And I think it was definitely an indicator of confusion there in Baltimore and it's now our burden to carry. They had talent and still looked bad. Our situation is compounded by not having high-level talent at the position.
  6. Man talk about really fooling the coaching staff. I'd say Peterman and Groy were the worse on the field in Baltimore. Some say Benjamin, but with him I just chalk his act up to not caring and "dogging it". Peterman and Groy were just not good at all. Groy, for a 320lb man, got thrown like a piece of cardboard LOL. But it wasn't just him, most of the linemen got thrown around, which leads me to their coach. I don't know what he teaches, bit whatever it is, it's not good. When he was with Baltimore I saw the same things. Guys playing high, allowing defenders into their chest and getting driven. It's ugly.
  7. This is how I read McD as well. I actually stated it two days ago by saying, "they didn't think they would have to throw Josh in this quickly," but they have no recourse now.
  8. Groy???? He got pummelled to a pulp. He was part of the problem. Dawkins got manhandled by Suggs and Za"Darius Smith multiple times.
  9. I mean as soon as the football is snapped, watch Dawkins vs Za'Darius Smith. DAMN!!!!! Not many QB's will be comfortable with that lack of a pocket.
  10. This is a combination of bad by the QB and the OL. Those linemen are getting driven like nobody's business.
  11. And there is nothing wrong with this approach if you can do it. The team that just bashed our heads in is still built like that to a large degree. They now just have more reliable hands on the perimeter to keep defenses off the run game. Baltimore will be committed to the run. The approach is not faulty if you have talent.
  12. I do to, until they think that Allen is ready Peterman, for good or bad, is the sacrificial lamb. What? Thinking Peterman is the sacrifice is stupid thinking? It might be unfounded, but I think we can deduce from particular transactions that that's exactly what this is.
  13. Denial of what? I'm no Peterman apologist and very far from it. You can find several posts where I actually cautioned people to not buy into the preseason Peterman. My point is that Peterman is the sacrifice. They were probably hoping Nate could last longer than he did, but I definitely do not think that Peterman was ever in their long-term plans even for this season. Again, he's the lamb led to the slaughter until they feel Allen is ready. I've always viewed it this way, especially since they traded McCarron away. Once they did that, my thinking was they are hoping Allen progresses pretty quickly. They didn't think they would have to force him into starting duty in week 2.
  14. McDermott wasn't wrong. He needed a sacrificial lamb to make it through week 4. Peterman needs to be that guy. Well maybe he was wrong in thinking Nate would make it that long. But he wasn't wrong in selecting Peterman as the lamb.
  15. Noodle arm is one thing, but not seeing or not throwing to wide open guys is another. There were times Peterman had guys open but he wouldn't pull the trigger. Not sure if he saw them. Is he still living in San Diego? I dunno.
  16. To me that's all I can hope for now. If we go 2-14 or worse but I see Allen develop and has command of the offense; goes out and actually makes great reads and throws and shows he's got this, I'll accept that because then you know what you have to do after that. You have the QB, now just build around him.
  17. Hate to break it to you. Yesterday was no fluke. We are very young at LB except Lorax; we knew going into the season that we get manhandled in the interior of the OL. We knew this. We knew Juan was going nowhere. We knew the Ravens would stack the box and press up on the receivers. We knew they would have trouble getting open. We knew Peterman scares the bejebus out of everyone when he throws to the perimeter. We knew all of this. Some may have refused to believe it, but we knew it.
  18. LOL another great thread. Thanks for the laughs. It's all that we have to hold on to at the moment.
  19. I came in here for laughter and you guys did not disappoint. Thanks for the laughs. But I think he will start the game until we are out of it.
  20. He allows things to play themselves out. No calls. They are setting the team up to be a big contender once Brady is off the Pats. We'll have to live with the struggle of the process until then.
  21. And get rid of Juan Castillo. Don't forget that part. LOL Ducasse doesn't count. He's always pitiful. The other two just have had moments where they fooled people into thinking they could be something. Ducasse has never looked anything but pitiful
  22. Well I think it's clear, they needed a sacrificial lamb so as to not throw the rookie to the wolves.
  23. Peterman will start in all of these games until they are out of reach. Then Allen will come in and get his experience until he's ready to start.
