  1. People are not born sexist. They learn it from their peers. Every time comments like the one Cam made are just passed off as no big deal, that just reinforces sexist culture. Why was it sexist? Because he held this female reporter to a different standard than her fellow male reporters. The only way to become less sexist as a culture is to frown upon it and denounce it in every form and at every turn. Anything less is just disrespect to our own wives and daughters. It is common knowledge that women generally have to overachieve to be considered "equal" in male-dominated professions. That alone is proof positive that we still have a long way to go in regards to sexism.
  2. Indeed. I guess some people just don't get it.
  3. Need to get me some good chop.
  4. I have to admit, I've never heard the phrase "embracing the physicality of his routes" before, so maybe that's what sparked his humor? Nonetheless, very immature thing for Newton to say.
  5. Football knowledge? In a TBD post? Where am I?
  6. Lol right? Hey, it was worth a shot Welp, have a good day bud. God bless America and all Americans.
  7. The head of the department of history at West Point disagrees with you.
  8. McD eats sunshine and sh*ts rainbows.
  9. After I heard the news about Dareus and Glenn being out, I didn't expect us to compete for the W. The secondary is making a name for themselves and are playing with a lot of moxie. Tyrod played a solid aerial game without much run support.
  10. Apart from Goff (who I still consider a question mark) their offense looks solid on paper. If he can bring it all together and they stay relatively healthy, I can see them putting up some numbers. The talent is there.
  11. Some of you really just like to hear yourselves talk. Or I guess just read yourselves posting. If two or more walls could talk to one another, this thread is what it would look like.
  12. Watching the Four Falls of Buffalo.
  13. The lack of football acumen in some of these posts is astounding... until you remember that this is TBD we are talking about.
  14. I hope he turns the Jags into a contender.
  15. Go Bills! I slept much more poorly than normal but still got a decent chunk of sleep. Interestingly, I don't feel very nervous, excited, or anxious. I think it has something to do with the offseason. I liked the moves, but it took the wind out of my sails for 2017. Let's hope the Bills recharge my batteries today!
  16. I expect Dareus to cause terror to opposing OLs yet again this year.
  17. To me, Gilmore's most memorable moment was a pass breakup where he stuck his arm underneath the receiver's arm and swatted the ball away. I remember thinking that was a damn good play.
  18. Diehard 8-Year-Old Buffalo Bills Fan Showing Early Signs Of Masochism WEST SENECA, NY—Expressing a mixture of alarm and heartache over the boy’s recently discovered disorder, the parents of diehard 8-year-old Buffalo Bills fan Cody Brenner told reporters Tuesday that their son had begun showing early signs of masochism. “A year ago we identified the first stages of his condition, and it’s been absolutely devastating as a parent to see our little boy struggling with something like this,” said the boy’s mother Julia, noting with sadness that the little boy’s self-flagellation includes watching the entirety of every Bills preseason game, regularly checking their official team Twitter page, and, in perhaps the most tragic and definitive confirmation of his disorder, recently purchasing a Tyrod Taylor poster to proudly display in his bedroom. “I thought something might be wrong when Cody made himself so angry by obsessively rewatching clips of the Bills blowing late-game leads last year, but it was his insistence that they’re going to be good this season in the face of all objective reasoning that confirmed his masochism for me. I want to help him, but we’ve been told there’s very little we can do. I just hope he can stay strong, because he will most likely be dealing with this for the rest of his life.” The boy’s grief-stricken mother added that it was hard not to blame the boy’s condition on his father, a sadist who likely inflicted his longtime Bills fandom on his son. http://www.theonion.com/article/diehard-8-year-old-buffalo-bills-fan-showing-early-56727
  19. Seeing Sammy throw himself the ball every game would be a sight to behold. Get it done!
  20. Ha! Weak. I ask again, regardless of who's mind it will change: what is your definition of democracy? I'm personally curious.
  21. I'm not sure why you want to play semantics about democracy vs democratic republic since the textbook definition of democracy is "a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives." I never used the term direct democracy, did I? Regardless, if this is how you feel (and I can't say I disagree with the general premise), isn't the solution to inform and educate those many Americans who are currently lacking the ability to make critical government decisions? Democracy, whether direct or representative, requires well-informed and educated populace to function properly.
  22. Except when that personal choice leads to costs incurred on those who didn't make that choice. Do you think doctors should be able to turn away a poor motorcyclist who gets in an accident without a helmet? Because unless that person is turned away and left to die, the rest of us bear the cost of that cyclist's poor decision when they are treated with care that they themselves would not be able to afford. Is that the kind of world you want to live in?
