Just because you found a tweet of someone who is also wrong doesn't magically make you right. -
What Does "Due Process" Mean?
Capco replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Wrong. They do. It's spelled out in the Constitution, specifically in the Due Process clauses in the 5th and 14th Amendments. "No person... shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law...." Due process is a natural right that all persons are entitled to in this country, not just American citizens. -
Who on this board would you choose to make our draft picks?
Capco replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't recall wanting Maybin, but I did want Darnold over Allen that draft. Although I was 100% on board when we took our Josh at 7 as he was my definite 1(a) choice. I thought Mayfield and Rosen had bust written all over them. And I was gonna add your name, Virgil, but you already disqualified yourself so 😂 -
Moulds would score between "Very Good" and "Elite" on pretty much every category for rating a WR. Size, speed, strength, quickness, agility, catching, blocking, route running, etc. Jack of all trades, and master of a few.

As others have said, it's hard not to like this guy. I also have a soft spot for FBs.

It seems that all of the good offensive linemen are a little bit unhinged when it comes to that. It's basically a requirement.

Market Performance - Orange Menace vs Brandonomics
Capco replied to JDHillFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This whole tariffs thing doesn't make sense if the Democrats are here to destroy the economy and Republicans are here to save it. There is near unanimous consensus among economists that tariffs are self-defeating and have a negative effect on economic growth and economic welfare, while free trade and the reduction of trade barriers has a positive effect on economic growth. Tariffs can end up backfiring and harming the industries they were intended to protect through rising input costs and retaliatory tariffs. The CEOs and big business people understand these things well. They also donated a lot of money to get Trump elected. It wouldn't surprise me if there were a few phone calls made where these experts shared their expertise with Trump, hence the sudden changes of heart. -
Market Performance - Orange Menace vs Brandonomics

I know this already spun off into its own thing for a bit... but I don't think that's a fair question, @Westside. Part of being an expert is sharing that expertise with non-experts in a way that they can understand and digest. I'd define non-experts generally as adults with a high school education level, so I do acknowledge there has to be some baseline on the listener's part. But other than that, it's not on the listener to prove they are worthy of listening to the messenger; I think the burden of expertise primarily falls on the messenger. Still, at least I'm now aware that @TH3 is a fellow engineer by background! BSCE JD here. -

James Cook Opens Up On Losing To Chiefs - interview
Capco replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed as well. When we drafted Cook in the 2nd, it felt like a gimmick pick based his speed. I didn't think he'd have the size, durability, and overall skill set to be a feature back. But I'll gladly eat my crow on Cook. He's an excellent back and he's developed very nicely. He has speed but he doesn't rely on it to his detriment. -
I thought this approach made sense early on in McDermott's tenure. Build a foundation of Chris Kelsay's (lol) and establish a team-oriented environment for your eventual young franchise QB to grow in. I also thought the second half of that approach would be to start taking some shots on high ceiling athletic specimens once the the foundation was built. The McDuffie/Elam debacle seemed to fit that bill in 2022, but when that didn't pan out I think McDermott fell back to prioritizing football character. That's not to say that the GM and HC being on the same page isn't essential, and that's the situation the Bills are in. But to my eyes, Beane is doing his job on the draft capital front, whereas the spending of that draft capital is hampered by McDermott's vision. Random aside, but in my Madden franchises I always try to draft for potential over day-1 starter material. I'll gladly draft a strong 6'3" WR with 4.4 speed and below average Awareness and Catching, because I can coach those latter attributes up over time. You simply can't manifest raw athletic ability out of thin air in a 5'10" WR with 4.6 speed, no matter how good his head and hands are. At the end of the day, the bigger, stronger, and faster teams usually overmatch the rest.
